Stewards Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound ISLA’S STYLE performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.37 and
is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane. |

RACING MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M The
start of this race was delayed when BACK ON TRACK proved difficult to
load. Stewards advised trainer Mr. G
Hagicostas that the greyhound BACK ON TRACK papers would be endorsed ‘hard to
box’. Even
start. Shortly after the start RENALD’S
RIVALRY shifted in and tightened the racing room of UPBEAT TEMPO, TOP TELLER,
SMART MARLOW, FROSTY ZERO and BACK ON TRACK.
SMART MARLOW and TOP TELLER lost ground as a result of this incident. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SWIFT ENFORCER shifted out which hampered the running of RENALD’S
RIVALRY. Leaving the back straight
RENALD’S RIVALRY improved onto the heels of FROSTY ZERO, was checked and
shifted out. UPBEAT TEMPO and SMART
MARLOW which were racing to its outside were checked as a consequence. |

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M TIZZYWING, GEAR UP and SHEZA RULER were best to
begin. Shortly after the start SHUNT
MAN shifted in which tightened the racing room of RIGHT AS RAIN, KILCARNEY
MIST, SOME CHARGER and GEAR UP with all greyhounds losing ground as a
consequence. Approaching the turn out
of the front straight SOME CHARGER and KILCARNEY MIST collided resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
SHUNT MAN checked across the heels of SHEZA RULER and was momentarily
hampered. |

ROSEWOOD & DISTRICT COMMUNITY BANK NOVICE 520M Even
start. ALPHA NIKE raced wide rounding
the turn out of the front straight through to the back straight. Entering the back straight SPRING DEAL was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight REINHOLD and SPORTFAN
collided on a number of occasions. |

Shortly after the star RUNAWAY KITTY shifted in which tightened the
racing room of PEPPER BEACH, ALPHA DAENERYS, LASTANGO COME TOGETHER and CYNO
SNIP. PEPPER BEACH, LASTANGO and ALPHA
DAENERYS all lost ground as a consequence.
Leaving the front straight CYNO SNIP and RUNAWAY KITTY bumped
resulting in RUNAWAY KITTY racing wide.
Entering the front straight COME TOGETHER and RUNAWAY KITTY collided
resulting in RUNAWAY KITTY to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound RUNAWAY KITTY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

STERNBERG VET SURGEONS 4/5th GRADE 431M DODGY DANCER and FAMECHON were best to begin. Through the 1st turn TWO BEERS,
BROTHER GLEN and HEZA SIZE UP raced tight resulting in all 3 greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. ALEEAH JET
which was racing to the outside of HEZA SIZE UP was checked as a consequence. DODGY DANCER raced wide in the back
straight. |

O’REILLY PET FOODS 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M WALLOON SMARTIE was best to begin. Leaving the front straight FAR FROM FEAR
and DASHING BRADSTA collided resulting in DASHING BRADSTA to be checked and
shifted out and collided with BUCKETTE resulting in both greyhounds being
checked and lose ground. CYNO MIRAGE
which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight DASHING BRADSTA
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M LUCKY SALLY and TORPEDO MAN were best to begin. Leaving the front straight HOUDINI HI and
SMACK DAB collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th
GRADE HEAT 3 520M GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin. Shortly after the start FRENCH IDOL was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after FRENCH IDOL
shifted in and made contact with the running rail and was severely checked
and lost considerable ground. BUSH
SPIRIT was trailing was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a
result of this incident. The greyhound FRENCH IDOL underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

GRADE 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start ZABDON LAMBO was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Through the 1st
turn FERNLEE STAR, WESTERN HONEY and ASTIN’S WARRIOR were all tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
MAYWYN’S COPY raced wide in the back straight. The greyhound ASTIN’S WARRIOR underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound THRILLA MACHINE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TOUCH OF CAJUN collided resulting in TOUCH OF CAJUN shifting out and
colliding with ZABDON VUITTON. Through
the 1st turn RANI BENZ and TOUCH OF CAJUN were tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight SNOW RUNNER was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
RANI BENZ which was trailing improved onto the heels of SNOW RUNNER as
a consequence, was checked and lost considerable ground. TOUCH OF CAJUN which was racing to the
outside of RANI BENZ was checked as a consequence. Leaving the back straight ZAFONIC FORCE and
MAYWYN WILL WIN collided resulting in MAYWYN WILL WIN to be checked and lose
ground. |
