start with the exception of GALWAY ROSELLA which was marginally slow to
begin. Shortly after the start BOBBY
THE BEAR and LITTLE MADAM were tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the front straight
DON’T TOUCH and RENALD’S RIVALRY collided resulting in RENALD’S RIVALRY
becoming unbalanced and fall taking no further competitive part in the
race. Approaching the turn into the
back straight KIKEM STORMY and MADIES collided, resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. The
greyhound RENALD’S RIVALRY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 520M SHEZA RULER, SHUNT MAN and SWIFT ENFORCER were best to
begin. TIZZYWING and FROSTY ZERO were
marginally slow to begin. Leaving the
front straight BET YOU WILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight SWIFT ENFORCER and RIGHT AS RAIN collided on a number of
occasions resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Approaching the turn into the back straight
FROSTY ZERO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight GEAR UP was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

HAYLEY was best to begin. Shortly
after the start PEPPER BEACH and GUN POWER were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
GUN POWER and FLASHING FERGO bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight GUN POWER improved onto the heels of FLASHING
FERGO resulting in that greyhound being checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
STILTON HAYLEY and DON’T WEAKEN collided heavily resulting in both greyhounds
to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. The greyhound
SENOR’S HEIR underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

GATTON TYRE SERVICE NOVICE 520M Even start.
Leaving the front straight RISING HAWKE and ISLA’S STYLE collided resulting
in ISLA’S STYLE being checked and race wide. The greyhound BEKLANA underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Through the turn out of the front straight SMACK DAB, SINGLETON, LOGAN
CITY and SPRING HONEY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. CYNO GENERAL which was
trailing was checked as a consequence.
Approaching the turn into the back straight CYNO GENERAL and SPRING
HONEY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked. Leaving the back straight SINGLETON was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight LOGAN CITY raced in restricted room and was momentarily tightened
and was hampered as a consequence. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUNDSCOMPLEX 5th GRADE 520M DEB’S PENNY and TORPEDO MAN were best to begin. Leaving the front straight DEB’S PENNY,
SNOW RUNNER, MAJESTIC JESTER and ELITE MARJ were all tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. OCTOBER
SPRING which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
DEB’S PENNY and MAJESTIC JESTER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. REFUND
REQUIRED and ELITE MARJ which were trailing were checked as a consequence and
lost ground. MAJESTIC JESTER commenced
to give ground leaving the back straight. The greyhound MAJESTIC JESTER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side chest and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 520M The start of this race was delayed due to a malfunction
with the starting boxes. All
greyhounds were removed and underwent a veterinary examination and all passed
fit to race. REPTAR and GUN LEGACY were best to begin. Shortly after
the start FASHION ADVICE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. MAYWYN PETTYCASH which was
racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence. Leaving the front straight BONNIE’S DREAM
was tightened for racing room, and momentarily hampered. The greyhound BONNIE’S DREAM underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th
GRADE FINAL 520M LONESOME DUK was best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight WALLOON SMARTIE was momentarily tightened for racing room and
hampered as a consequence. LONESOME
DUK raced wide in the back straight. |

Shortly after the start ARABIAN MELODY was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Through the 1st
turn URBAN STRREET was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. URBAN STREET commenced to give
ground out of the back straight. When questioned trainer Mr. G Sciortino over the
performance of URBAN STREET. Mr. G Sciortino reported that URBAN STREET was
having its 2nd start back
from a lengthy spell when the greyhound was injured and had trailed well
leading up into today’s event and he was expecting a forward showing. After considering Mr. Sciortino’s
explanation stewards advised him that the performance on the greyhound was
bordering on unsatisfactory however, will intend to monitor the performance
in the near future. |

marginally slow to begin. Through the
1st turn DODGY DANCER, BOXING ROO GIRL, MISSED CONTROL, GUN DANCER
and GNARLEY GIRL all raced tight resulting in BOXING ROO GIRL, GUN DANCER,
PREMIER BEAR and MISSED CONTROL all being checked and lose ground. Entering the back straight RHONDDA MINER
and GNARLEY GIRL collided resulting in GNARLEY GIRL being checked and lose
ground. GUN DANCER raced wide rounding
the turn into the front straight.
DODGY DANCER, PREMIER BEAR and GUN DANCER raced wide in the front
straight. |
