MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M The
start of the event was delayed due to an interstate thoroughbred race. FROSTY
FOX was slow to begin. Shortly after
the start YOU JANE was tightened for room and checked. On entering the 1st turn FROSTY
VANE was tightened for room and checked.
Entering the back straight YOU JANE improved onto the heels of FROSTY
VANE and was checked. In the front
straight YOU JANE was wide. The greyhound FROSTY VANE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. N Peters that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance, must
perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks prior to nominating. |

2 431M GET SHORTY was best to begin. SIZE WISE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MY MOJO HUCKABEE
and IT’S ABOUT TIME were tightened for room and checked. Upon entering the 1st turn MY
MOJO, HUCKABEE, IT’S ABOUT TIME, SIZE WISE and BIG DIPPA were tightened for
room and checked. |

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M BINALONG ROAD
was slow to begin. Shortly after the
start MO STRADAMUS, SAMANTHA BENZ, BY CRIKEY, THUNDER CLAP and CAKKE OF SOAP
were tightened for room and checked.
FROSTY BEJAY which was trailing was checked as a result. Rounding the 1st turn SAMANTHA
BENZ, THUNDER CLAP and BINALONG ROAD were tightened for room and checked. FROSTY BEJAY which was trailing was
hampered as a result. Leaving the turn
into the back straight MO STRADAMUS and THUNDER CLAP collided resulting in
both greyhounds being checked. Leaving
the back straight into the turn SAMANTHA BENX and BY CRIKEY collided
resulting in both greyhounds being hampered.
In the back straight FROSTY BEJAY and BINALONG ROAD were wide. |

Shortly after the start RUMBLING JAKE was tightened for room and
hampered. Upon entering the 1st
turn STRONG STEP, MISSED CONTROL, NINA ROSE HI and SPYING GAME were tightened
for room and checked. RUMBLING JAKE,
PENNYLESS and SMASHNIAK STORM which were trailing were hampered as a
result. Leaving the back straight into
the turn NINA ROSE HI was tightened for room and hampered. In the back and front straight PENNYLESS
was wide. The greyhound SMASHNIAK STORM underwent a postrace
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

GATTON
TYRE SERVICES NOVICE 431M Even start.
Leaving the boxed AVOID DAMAGE and ZODIAC SANDY collided resulting in
AVOID DAMAGE to be checked. Shortly
after the start and into the turn SMASHNIAK BARC, ZODIAC SANDY, GALWAY EAGLE,
JUST SIZE and DON’T TOUCH were tightened for room and checked. GEM EXPRESS and AVOID DAMAGE which were
trailing were hampered as a result.
Through the turn out of the back straight GEM EXPRESS improved onto
the heels of JUST SIZE, was checked and shifted wider on the turn. Upon entering the front straight GEM
EXPRESS contacted the heels of JUST SIZE, fell and took no further
competitive part in the event. In the
back straight SMASHNIAK BARC and AVOID DAMAGE were wide. The greyhound GEM EXPRESS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th GRADE 431M FABULOUS STORM was slow to begin. Shortly after the start ZABDON BLUEY and
THROTTLE ON collided resulting in ZABDON BLUEY to be checked. Upon entering the 1st turn LADY
CORSAIR, GINGER BENZ and RUBY’S IN YELLOW were tightened for room and
checked. ROMEO RAGTOP and ZABDON BLUEY
which were trailing were hampered as a result. Leaving the back straight into the turn
GINGER BENZ was tightened for room and checked. ZABDON BLUEY which was trailing was
hampered as a result. THROTTLE ON and
DAYSEAS RIGG were wide in the back and front straight. |

5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M LALIQUE was best to begin. HURUNUI HAMISH, NANGAR LASS
and PATRONUS were slow to begin.
Shortly after the start THURSDAY WIZARD was tightened for room and
checked. Upon entering the 1st
turn WATTA STEP UP contacted the heels of SEE THAT which was checked and
shifted wider entering the turn.
Shortly after the start NANGAR LASS contacted the hindquarters of
HURUNUI HAMISH resulting in NANGAR LASS to fall and take no further
competitive part in the event. THURSDAY
WIZARD which was trailing was hampered and shifted wider on the turn as a
consequence. Leaving the back straight
into the turn WATTA STEP UP and NACEY’S HERO were tightened for room and
checked. HURUNUI HAMISH and THURSDAY
WIZARD which were trailing were checked as a consequence. The greyhound NANGAR LASS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MARRIE were tightened for room and hampered.
Upon entering the 1st turn TIZZYWING was tightened for room
and severely checked and stumbled.

GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of AINIA which was slow to
begin. Shortly after the start AINIA
stumbled leaving the boxes.
Approaching the 1st turn LA SPOOKIE and LIGHTNING WHITE
were tightened for room and hampered.
Upon entering the 1st turn LA SPOOKIE, LIGHTNING WHITE,
SOUTHERN FLOSS and SMASHNIAK STAR were tightened for room and checked. AINIA which was trailing was checked as a
consequence. Leaving the turn into the
back straight LIGHTNING WHITE contacted the heels of LA SPOOKIE and was
checked. AINIA which was trailing was
hampered as a result. Leaving the back
straight into the turn SMASHNIAK STAR was tightened for room and
checked. Rounding the turn into the
front straight LIGHTNING WHITE was tightened for room and checked. AINIA which was trailing was hampered as a
consequence and shifted wider in the straight. AINIA was wide in the front straight. |

THE CAKE collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight
MAGGIE BENZ and RAGNAR LOTHBROK were tightened for room and hampered. Leaving the back straight into the turn
RAGNAR LOTHBROK was tightened for room and checked. GEMMA BENZ which was trailing was hampered
as a consequence. In the back
straight GEMMA BENZ was wide. |
