MAIDEN 431M SPRING
DOTTIE and SPRING NAKANO were best to begin.
ISOBELLA’S MAGIC, GALWAY ROSELLA and FROSTY BEJAY were slow to
begin. Shortly after the start
ISOBELLA’S MAGIC and GALWAY ROSELLA collided resulting in both greyhounds
being checked. Shortly after SIZE WISE
and FROSTY BEJAY collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. Upon entering the 1st turn
ISOBELLA’S MAGIC, GALWAY ROSELLA, SIZE WISE and EUROA KATE were tightened for
room and checked. FROSTY BEJAY and
CORREEN’S LAD which were trailing were hampered as a consequence. In the back straight EUROA KATE turned its
head outwards and marred the running of ISOBELLA’S MAGIC. In the front straight ISOBELLA’S MAGIC turned
its head inwards and marred the running of EUROA KATE. In the back straight GALWAY ROSELLA and
FROSTY BEJAY were wide. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. W Elson that the greyhound ISOBELLA’S MAGIC would be
charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a
satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. Stewards
advised trainer Mrs. M Kuhl that the greyhound EUROA KATE would be charged
under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

SKY RAING MAIDEN 431M TOP CLASS RUBY was slow to begin. FABELLA was very slow to begin. Upon entering the 1st turn
HOSTESS WATKINS was tightened for room and hampered. In the back straight DASHING BOND improved
onto the heels of HOSTESS WATKINS resulting in HOSTESS WATKINS to be
checked. Leaving the back straight
into the turn HAPPY GLEN shifted inwards and collided with the running
rail. Through the turn out of the back
straight PENTADOG improved onto the heels of EUROA AZAZ resulting in EUROA
AZAZ to be hampered. In the back
straight FABELLA was wide. The greyhound HAPPY GLEN underwent a post-race veterinary

SHAYLOR FLASH were slow to begin.
Shortly after the start FARMOR SNIPPETS and ONE ATE ZERO collided
resulting in both greyhounds being hampered.
Approaching the 1st turn SPRING LIL and ROSDUE BALBOA
collided resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. Through the 1st turn MIDNIGHT
BURN and HEATON’S GIRL collided resulting in HEATON’S GIRL to be checked and
shift wider on the turn. ONE ATE ZERO,
SPRING LIL and ROSDUE BALBOA which were trialling were hampered as a
result. Entering the back straight
INITIATOR was tightened for room, checked and shifted wider in the back
straight. Leaving the back straight
into the turn HEATON’S GIRL was tightened for room and checked. ONE ATE ZERO and SPRING LIL which were
trailing were hampered as a result.
Rounding the turn into the front straight INITIATOR shifted outwards
colliding with ONE ATE ZERO resulting in both greyhounds to be checked. In the front straight ONE ATE ZERO and
INITIATOR collided resulting in both greyhounds being hampered. INITIATOR was wide in the back straight. |

NOVICE 431M SPRING ELLIE, SENNI LUCILLE and ROSDUE SPRITE were best
to begin. TOMMY BENZ, GALLANTRY, GEM
EXPRESS and HARBOUR GYPSY were slow to begin.
Shortly after the start GEM EXPRESS was tightened for room and
hampered. Through the 1st
turn GALLANTRY and HARBOUR GYPSY collided resulting in both greyhounds being
hampered. GEM EXPRESS which was
trailing was hampered as a result.
Leaving the 1st turn into the back straight GALLANTRY
contacted the hindquarters of HARBOUR GYPSY resulting in HARBOUR GYPSY to be
hampered and GALLANTRY to be checked.
In the back straight TOMMY BENZ momentarily eased when its attention
was drawn to a bird positioned on the outside of the track. TOMMY BENZ was wide in the back and front
straights. |

O’TOOLE PAINTER 5th GRADE 520M SOUTHERN FLOSS was best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight on the 1st occasion SOUTHERN FLOSS, PLENTY OF PUNCH, OUT
OF PUNCH and UNIQUE GHOSTY were tightened for room and hampered. Upon entering the 1st turn
ASTIN’S WARRIOR and MAYWYN’S YING collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
hampered and shift wider into the turn.
UNIQUE GHOSTY which was trailing was hampered and shifted wider on the
turn as a result. Out of the back
straight into the turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR improved onto the heels of PLENTY OF
PUNCH resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked. |

PRINCESS EMALYS and PUNCH RIGHT OUT which were marginally slow to begin. Upon entering the 1st turn
ELLIE’S BOY and COOPOLLY BEACH collided resulting in both greyhounds being
checked. PRINCESS EMALYS and PUNCH
RIGHT OUT which were trailing were hampered as a result. Leaving the turn into the back straight
ELLIE’S BOY shifted outwards across the heels of FABULOUS TRAV and collided
with EMMA’S MAGIC resulting in both greyhounds being checked. COOPOLLY BEACH and PUNCH RIGHT OUT which
were trailing were hampered as a result.
Leaving the back straight into the turn COOPOLLY BEACH was tightened
for room and checked. ELLIE’S BOY and
PUNCH RIGHT OUT were wide in the back straight. |

resulting in both runners being hampered.
Through the 1st turn WILDASH GEE and SMASHNIAK STAR
collided resulting in both greyhounds being checked. STRIKE OIL, GENERAL HUNTER and MAYWYN
PETTYCASH which were trailing were hampered as a result. STRIKE OIL and MAYWYN PETTYCASH were wide

and SPRING DORRIE were tightened for room and hampered. On entering the 1st turn ZABDON
NUGGET shifted outwards resulting in SPIKE BENZ and SMASHNIAK BARC to be
momentarily hampered. Through the 1st
turn SPRING DORRIE contacted the heels of NOT ANOTHA GINGA resulting in NOT
ANOTHA GINGA to be checked. Leaving
the turn into the back straight SPRING DORRIE was tightened for room and
hampered. Leaving the back straight
into the turn SPRING DORRIE was tightened for room and checked. IMA SUAREZ was wide in the back straight. The greyhound SPIKE BENZ underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SHAYLOR SAM and MAYWYN WILL WIN were tightened for room and checked. DRAGON DANCER which was trailing was
hampered as a result. Out of the back
straight into the turn HER’S NOT HIS shifted in and contacted the
hindquarters of SMASHNIAK CLASS resulting in HER’S NOT HIS to be hampered and
give ground for the remainder of the event. The greyhound HER’S NOT HIS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
