The greyhound PANAMERA performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 24.95.

GEAR UP was best to begin.  Shortly after the start PIZARRO and BIG BOY BATINA collided resulting in BIG BOY BATINA to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the front straight STING ‘EM WASP was tightened for racing room and brushed the running rail.

 

The greyhound STING ‘EM WASP underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M

NOVELLA, PALLINGTON, WILD MISS JUDY and AMUS UNLEASHED were best to begin.  PORT LISA was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start PORT LISA pulled up and retired itself from the race.  In the front straight on the 1st occasion PALLINGTON turned its head out and marred the running of AMUS UNLEASHED resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  WILD MISS JUDY was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight BIG DIPPA was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound PORT LISA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Ms. A O’Reilly that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m.

 

Stewards advised trainer Mr. S Scott that the greyhound PALLINGTON would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days + satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m.

Even start with the exception of AVOID DAMAGE and SPECIAL VISION which were both slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight BENTAXLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  GALLON, WAY BEFORE YOU and SPECIAL VISION which were all trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight BENTAXLE and SPECIAL VISION collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered.  Leaving the back straight WAY BEFORE YOU improved onto the heels of GALWAY ACHIEVER and was checked and lost ground.  GALLON which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence.  In the later stages of the front straight GALWAY ACHIEVER turned its head and failing to pursue the lure with due course.

 

The greyhound GALWAY ACHIEVER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Galway that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m.

SCOTT O’TOOLE PAINTER NOVICE 520M

SHE’S MY MATE, KNOCKER KNOCK and LITTLE MADAM were best to begin.  LUCID DREAMING and IXCHEL were slow to begin.  Leaving the front straight GUN POWER shifted in and contacted the running rail resulting in it being severely checked and lose considerable ground.  PEPPER BEACH, IXCHEL and FROSTY AJAY which were trailing were severely checked as a consequence and lost considerable ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight SHE’S MY MATE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  FROSTY AJAY which was trailing was hampered as a consequence.  Entering the front straight GUN POWER and FROSTY AJAY collided.

 

The greyhound GUN POWER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

NANGAR LASS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SUNNYSIDE PARK and BEC’S DIAMOND collided resulting in BEC’S DIAMOND to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the front straight SUNNYSIDE PARK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

ZAFONIC DANCER and SHEZA RULER were best to begin.  WILLY DO was marginally slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight HERE FOR YOU was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

ARE YOU THERE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start SWITCH BLADE and RUM RAMBLER collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight CHEEKY CHEECH checked across the heels of ARE YOU THERE and was momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound DU HAST underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Even start with the exception of DASH TA FAME, CUT THE CAKE and FIERY BENZ which were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight SPLIT SYSTEM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after KNEW YOU WOULD and FIERY BENZ collided resulting in FIERY BENZ being checked and lose ground.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 4/5th GRADE 431M

Even start with the exception of DAZE FLYBY and FYRE GAL which were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start RATATAT shifted in which tightened the racing room of ON THE WALL, WINDY GIRL and LUCY BENZ.  Approaching the turn into the back straight ON THE WALL and LUCY BENZ collided.  Leaving the back straight WINDY GIRL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ON THE WALL which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound ON THE WALL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Even start with the exception of RED STEEL and JUST SIZE which were marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn RUN KAY RUN, CHAMPAGNE BENZ and ULTIMATE STAR raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  In the back straight LA SPOOKIE and RUN KAY RUN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked.  Leaving the back straight LA SPOOKIE and RUN KAY RUN were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight GRAVITY WOLF was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  RED STEEL which was racing to its inside was checked as a consequence.
