Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound SCAREDY CAT failed a stewards’
trial over the distance of 431m. |

to severe heat conditions steward invoked the QRIC’s heat policy and
kennelling was commenced 15 minutes early, no barking muzzles were allowed
and the greyhounds went straight to the boxes. Even
start with the exception of NOVELLA, FROSTY ZERO and DIAMOND ROBYNE which
were slow to begin. Approaching the
turn out of the front straight on the 1st occasion WESTERN QUINN
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
CHASE’S LEGEND was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground and
shortly after collided heavily with SMART MARLOW resulting in CHASE’S LEGEND
to fall and take no further part in the race.
SMART MARLOW was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a
result of this incident. In the front
straight during the latter stages of the race PEPPER BEACH and FROSTY ZERO
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. The
greyhound CHASE’S LEGEND underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down
for a period of 10 days. |

520M Even start.
Shortly after the start SNEAKIN’ OUT was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
SPORTFAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the front straight SNEAKIN’ OUT was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight SPORTFAN was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 2 5th GRADE
520M Even
start. Leaving the front straight
DASHING BRADSTA, SIZEABLE, MIDNIGHT DASHER and UNIQUE MOTIVE were all
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
DASHING BRADSTA and SIZEABLE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. REFUND
REQUIRED commenced to give ground entering the back straight to be retired
from the race. Leaving the back
straight DASHING BRADSTA and SIZEABLE collided resulting in DASHING BRADSTA
to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound
BUBBLE GUPPY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound
REFUND REQUIRED underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found
to have suffered an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a
period of 8 weeks. |

CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 3 5th GRADE
520M Even start with the exception of HOUDINI HI which was
marginally slow to begin. Leaving the
front straight ARABIAN SHREDDER, LUCKY SALLY, WATTA STEP UP and DASH OF FAITH
were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. HOUDINI HI commenced
to give ground rounding the turn into the back straight. The greyhound HOUDINI HI underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

CORPORATE
DOLLARS CHALLENGE HEAT 4 5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start LEHMAN BENZ, CALAMITY JANE, BUCKETTE and MY
AWESOME MAGIC all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Shortly after TURN AND
BURN and LEHMAN BENZ collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Rounding the turn out of
the front straight LEHMAN BENZ and CALAMITY JANE collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Shortly after MY AWESOME MAGIC improved onto the heels of TURN AND
BURN was severely checked and fell as a consequence taking no further
competitive part in the race. TURN AND
BURN was checked as result of this incident.
Rounding the turn into the front straight MAYWYN’S YING and TURN AND
BURN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound MY AWESOME MAGIC underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound TURN AND BURN underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

520M SPLIT SYSTEM was best to begin. JACK’S BLACK and VELOCITY KALINA were
marginally slow to begin. Approaching
the turn out of the front straight ARE YOU THERE was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight SPLIT SYTEM and JACK’S
BLACK collided resulting in JACK’S BLACK to be checked and fell as a
consequence taking no further competitive part in the race. ARE YOU THERE which was trailing was
severely checked and fell as a consequence taking no further competitive part
in the race. Rounding the turn into
the back straight MY SUPER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight POCAHONTAS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight during the later
stages of the race MY SUPER and VELOCITY KALINA collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound JACK’S BLACK underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

after the start SHUNT MAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn out of
the front straight GOT A BROTHER was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. Rounding the turn out of
the front straight ARDEN STREET and UNIQUE AFFAIR collided resulting in
UNIQUE AFFAIR to be checked, shift out and collide with SHUNT MAN resulting
in both SHUNT MAN and UNIQUE AFFAIR to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
NAMROD and UNIQUE AFFAIR collided resulting in UNIQUE AFFAIR to be checked
and lose ground. |

GRADE 520M KNEW YOU WOULD was best to begin. Shortly after the start ASTON JADORE was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight NANGAR LASS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. ASTON JADORE which was
trailing was checked as a consequence.
Shortly after NANGAR LASS shifted in and made contact with the running
rail and was checked as a consequence.
Rounding the turn into the front straight ASTON JADORE and SCAR’S
BROTHER bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound ASTON JADORE underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound NANGAR LASS underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of THIS TIME MADDIE which
was marginally slow to begin. Through
the 1st turn LUCY BENZ, ZABDON BLUEY, TORQUE FLIGHT and, MAYWYN’S
ACE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. KLOEIS PRIDE and THIS TIME MADDIE which
were trailing were checked as a consequence. The greyhound TORQUE FLIGHT underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind leg and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

TRACK & TRAIN 5th GRADE 431M Even start.
Through the 1st turn SPILLNG SECRETS, GOTTA BE BLACK, BLACK
PARADOX, JAHIMIA, PASS YOU BY, RED STEEL and CELEBRITY INK were all tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground to varying degrees. Approaching the turn out of the back
straight CELEBRITY INK was tightened for racing room, severely checked and
fell as a consequence taking no further part in the race. JAHIMIA and RED STEEL were both checked as
a result of this incident and lost ground. The greyhound RED STEEL underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound CELEBRITY INK underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |
