MAIDEN 520M Even
start. Shortly after the start PANALO
collided with AMUS UNLEASHED resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Shortly after SATAN’S
GIFT was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion PANALO shifted out which tightened for racing of AMUS UNLEASHED
resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
COSMIC COPY and AUSSIE DIAMOND collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. AUSSIE
DIAMOND shifted out as a result of this incident and collided with FROSTY FOX
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. SATAN’S GIFT which was trailing was checked
as a consequence. Shortly after FROSTY
FOX and SATAN’S GIFT collided heavily resulting in both greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight AMUS UNLEASHED and FROSTY
FOX collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. The
greyhound FROSTY FOX underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
questioned trainer Mr. R Attard in regards to its actions rounding the turn
into the back straight where it appeared the greyhound may have eased. After considering all evidence and in
particular the interference the greyhound suffered just prior to the incident
taking place, Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that a charge
should be substantiated against the greyhound and advised Mr. Attard that
they would be monitoring the greyhound’s performances in its upcoming events. |

Shortly after the start JUSTIFIED was tightened for room, checked and
lost ground. Rounding the turnout of
the front straight BLUE ME and CARLTON CREW bumped resulting in CARLTON CREW
shifting out and racing wide.
JUSTIFIED which was trailing CARLTON CREW was checked and raced wide
as a consequence. SWIFT NIMROD and
SENNI LUCILLE both raced wide in the back straight. SWIFT NIMROD raced wide in the front
straight. |

Shortly after the start PYRO BOB was tightened for room, checked and lost
ground. Leaving the front straight
GENERAL CLOUD and ALOTA AMY collided resulting in ALOTA AMY to be checked and
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the back straight ALOTA AMY and VEGAS BOUND collided resulting in ALOTA AMY
to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound
ALOTA AMY underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a
period of 21 days. |

Shortly after the start EL CHAD and CIGAR SAM bumped. Approaching the turn into the back straight
HOPE’S MAGIC shifted in which momentarily hampered the running of EL
CHAD. In the back straight EL CHAD
shifted in which momentarily hampered the running of CIGAR SAM. |

CUP HEAT 3 520M FLAPPING GUMS was best to begin. Leaving the front straight BUBBLE GUPPY
shifted in which tightened the racing room of AUBERON causing that greyhound
to be checked and shift out and lose ground.
DASH OF FAITH which was trailing was severely checked as a result of
this incident and lost considerable ground.
ASTON JADORE which was trailing was checked as a result of this
incident and lost ground. Leaving the
back straight BUBBLE GUPPY was tightened for room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
back straight MACNIVEK was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. |
