BOGIE COMET was best to begin. On jumping FROSTY BEJAY bumped YEAH NAH YEAH and lost ground. Entering the first turn FABULOUS SHOW, BIG DIPPA and SHEZA JEWEL all raced tight causing BIG DIPPA and SHEZA JEWEL to be checked. Leaving the first turn SHEZA JEWEL was tightened for racing room and checked. On entering the back straight BIG DIPPA and AURIGA CINDY collided. SHEZA JEWEL raced wide in the back straight. In the back straight BOGIE COMET and FABULOUS SHOW raced tight and bumped. Leaving the turn out of the front straight FROSTY BEJAY improved up onto the heels of DORIE’S PICK causing DORIE’S PICK to shift out and severely check BOGIE COMET. FABULOUS SHOW was also inconvenienced as a result of this incident. Through the turn into the front straight BIG DIPPA shifted in causing YEAH NAH YEAH to alter its running line and lose ground as a consequence. SHEZA JEWEL raced wide in the front straight.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

SPRING LAUREN was best to begin. In the run to the first turn ME HAPPY and TRIPLE TWIST raced tight and bumped resulting in ME HAPPY being checked. Through the turn into the back straight COSMIC YESSAM and LOVED UP collided causing both greyhounds to be checked. In the back straight MR. BELLISSIMO raced wide. Through the turn out of the back straight COSMIC YESSAM improved to the inside of FROSTY FOX causing FROSTY FOX to shift wider on the track.

The greyhound ME HAPPY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3.	ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M ROAD TO FLAME was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING NAKANO, SLIP MY MIND and BRONCO BOY all raced tight causing WILD FOX which was trailing to shift out to avoid these runner’s heels and collided with WILD MISS JUDY and FAMOUS MOLLY which were checked as a result. Shortly after SLIP MY MIND checked across the heels of BRONCO BOY and shifted out. Out of the turn into the back straight WILD MISS JUDY improved onto the heels of FAMOUS MOLLY and collided. Both runners were checked as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn LITE ME UP shifted in tightening the room of BRONCO BOY which was hampered as a result. WILD FOX who was trailing was hampered as a result of this incident. BRONCO BOY raced wide in the front straight. The greyhound FAMOUS MOLLY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Through the turn into the back straight SPRING LILL checked across the heels of TROUBLING TIMES and as a result lost momentum. HEZA NOIR raced wide in the back straight. Through the turn into the front straight PENTADOG shifted in tightening the racing room of DARK SMIFFY. Leaving the turn out of the back straight SPRING LILL checked across the heels of STRONG STEP causing STRONG STEP to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the race. Through the turn into the front straight TROUBLING TIMES checked across the heels of DARK SMIFFY resulting in both runners being hampered and losing momentum. ON THE WALL raced wide in the front straight. The greyhound STRONG STEP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 8 weeks.

Even start. Entering the first turn THUNDER OF FIRE and SPRING DOTTIE raced tight. Leaving the first turn FARMOR DIVA shifted out checking SPRING DOTTIE which was inconvenienced. Through the turn into the front straight SPRING DOTTIE shifted in causing THUNDER OF FIRE to be tightened for racing room.

SHEZA RULER was best to begin. SPRING TWIG was slow to begin. Through the first turn COST A QUID and BENTAXLE raced tight resulting in BENTAXLE to shift out and severely check HURRICANE CHANCE which fell and took no further competitive part in the race. BENTAXLE was checked as a result of this incident. Shortly after SPRING TWIG improved on the heels of HARA’S HAWK and lost momentum as a result. DON’T TOUCH raced wide in the back straight. Out of the back straight into the turn JUST SIZE was tightened for racing room and checked.

The greyhound HURRICANE CHANCE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Through the first turn SOARING HAWKE and SANDAVE BELLAIRE collided. Shortly after ASTIN’S WARRIOR and SANDAVE BELLAIRE collided causing SANDAVE BELLAIRE to be checked. UNIQUE MOTIVE which was trailing was inconvenienced. Out of the back straight into the turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR shifted in causing BUSH SPIRIT to be tightened for racing room. Through the turn into the front straight SPRING SHANAE collided with SANDAVE BELLAIRE resulting in SANDAVE BELLAIRE losing ground. UNIQUE MOTIVE raced wide in the back straight.

8.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4^th GRADE 431M NACEY’S HERO was best to begin. Shortly after GLOBAL DEEJAY and RUSTY’S IMAGE collided. Entering the first turn BLACKWOOD BURST, RUSTY’S IMAGE and GLOBAL DEEJAY all raced tight, resulting in RUSTY’S IMAGE and GLOBAL DEEJAY being hampered. Shortly after BLACKWOOD BURST improved onto the heels of SPRING SHANGHAI. LITTLE ACH CEE and RUSTY’S IMAGE raced wide in the front straight. When questioned regarding the improved performance of NACEY’S HERO trainer Mr. P Ruetschi stated that the greyhound’s form of late has been poor, however he was of the view that it does have ability but was not able to offer an explanation as to its improved performance. Mr. Ruetschi further stated he did not support the greyhound today but did believe that the greyhound has ability and will continue to go through the grades in South-East Queensland. Stewards noted the explanation. The greyhound BLACKWOOD BURST underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CIGARS ON ICE was best to begin. Through the first turn PENCIL improved up on the hindquarters of LOTS OF TIME and lost ground as a result. In the back straight RUN KAY RUN shifted in colliding with LIGHTNING WHITE. Shortly after RUN KAY RUN shifted out bumping SWIZZLESTICK which continued to shift out which resulted in the greyhound racing wide. Leaving the turn into the front straight PENCIL shifted out bumping RUN KAY RUN which was checked as a consequence. RUN KAY RUN raced wide in the front straight.

ONLY EXIT was best to begin. Entering the first turn BACK TO BUSINESS, DEEP DESPAIR and GOTTA BE BLACK all raced tight, resulting in all greyhounds being checked. Shortly after HASSIE’S HASSLE and LIL’ BIT SPARKY collided causing HASSIE’S HASSLE to lose momentum and lost ground. In the back straight BACK TO BUSINESS improved onto the heels of LIL’ BIT SPARKY. Leaving the back straight BACK TO BUSINESS and LIL’ BIT SPARKY raced tight. Entering the front straight GOTTA BE BLACK checked across the heels of BACK TO BUSINESS causing LIL’ BIT SPARKY and DEEP DESPAIR to be checked. DEEP DESPAIR raced wide in the front straight.
