MAIDEN 431M Even
start. Shortly after the start NEED
SOME SPEED, DUSTY’S DESTINY and ESSENTIALLY PURE all collided and were
checked. Through the turn into the
back straight TINY TAPPER was tightened for room and checked. NEED SOME SPEED which was trailing collided
with TINY TAPPER resulting in both runners being severely checked. DUSTY’S DESTINY and ESSENTIALLY PURE which
were trailing collided with those runners and was checked. On entering the back straight FAMOUS MOLLY
and STAR BEACH bumped. DUSTY’S DESTINY
and NEED SOME SPEED collided resulting in DUSTY’S DESTINY being checked. Out of the back straight into the turn
DUSTY’S DESTINY checked off the heels of ESSENTIALLY PURE. Through the turn into the front straight
DUSTY’S DESTINY collided with TINY TAPPER and was checked. TINY TAPPER raced wide in the front
straight. The
greyhound DUSTY’S DESTINY underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and
no apparent injuries were found. |

MAYOR PAUL PISASLE NOVICE 431M VELOCITY ALLY was best to begin. SURPRISE SIZE and FLASHING FERGO collided
on jumping and were both checked. On
entering the back straight SURPRISE SIZE checked out across the heels of
FLASHING FERGO and commenced to give ground and took no further competitive
part in the event. Out of the back
straight into the turn RAINY and VELOCITY ALLY collided resulting in both
runners being checked. RAINY then
shifted out and collided with SAMANTHA BENZ and was further checked. FLASHING FERGO collided with THUNDER OF
FIRE resulting in both runners being checked.
Through the turn into the front straight VELOCITY ALLY and EUROA AZAZ
collided resulting in both runners being hampered. SAMANTHA BENZ which was trailing shifted
out to avoid those runner’s heels. The greyhound SURPRISE SIZE underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. |

DEPUTY MAYOR PAUL TULLY NOVICE 520M ISLA’S OPAL
was best to begin. At the start FARMOR
DIVA, NOVELLA and WILDASH GEE all collided resulting in NOVELLA and WILDASH
GEE being checked. WILDASH GEE raced
wide through the 1st turn.
Out of the back straight into the turn ISLA’S OPAL and GEAR UP
collided resulting in both runners being hampered. |

COUNCILLOR KYLIE STONEMAN NOVICE 520M LONGTIME COMIN’ was best to begin. On entering the 1st turn JULIE
SIZE contacted the heels of SENNI LUCILLE resulting in that runner being
checked and forced out wider on the track as a result. Out of the back straight into the turn
FROSTY ZERO was tightened for room and hampered. DIAMOND ROBYNE raced wide in the back and
front straights. |

CHERYL BROMAGE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M LONESOME DUK and FLAPPING GUMS were best to begin. ARDEN STREET was slow to begin. On entering the 1st turn LIKA
BREWSKI was tightened for room and checked.
Shortly after TELEX FINGERS checked out across the heels of MAYWYN’S
YING and collided with BUSH SPIRIT which was forced out wider on the track
and checked. On entering the front
straight MAYWYN’S YING faltered and became momentarily unbalanced. TELEX FINGERS raced wide in the back
straight. |

COUNCILLOR CHARLIE PISASALE 5th GRADE HEAT 2
520M Even start.
Shortly after the start SIZEABLE and EMMA’S MAGIC collided resulting
in both runners being checked. On
entering the 1st turn SWIFT ENFORCER checked out across the heels
of CAPTAIN TIL and collided with LUCKY SALLY which was forced out wider on
the track. Out of the back straight
into the turn EMMA’S MAGIC was tightened for room and checked. |

COUNCILLOR DAVID PAHLKE 5th GRADE HEAT 3 520M SHEZA RULER was best to begin. SPRING FIRECHIEF was slow to begin. Shortly after the start PANAMERA and
SINGLETON bumped resulting in SINGLETON being checked. On entering the 1st turn SHEZA
RULER was tightened for room and checked.
CHEEKY CHEECH which was trailing collided with SHEZA RULER, was
checked and forced out wider on the track as a result. PANAMERA collided with the runner rail,
shifted out and collided with CHEEKY CHEECH.
SPRING FIRECHIEF which was trailing was forced to shift out to avoid those
runner’s heels. CHEEKY CHEECH raced
wide in the back and front straights.
In the front straight SHEZA RULER fell and took no further part in the
event. The greyhound PANAMERA underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. M Kuhl that the greyhound
SHEZA RULER would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance,
cramping, must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks prior
to nominating. |

IPSWICH CUP FINAL 520M Even start. CYNDIE’S MAGIC was slow to begin. On entering the 1st turn MY
AWESOME MAGIC and NOT LIKE TOMMY collided resulting in NOT LIKE TOMMY being
forced out wider on the track. On
entering the front straight CYNDIE’S MAGIC and MY AWESOME MAGIC collided
resulting in both greyhounds being checked.

and KAMILAROI DUK were both tightened for room and checked. THIS TIME MADDIE which was racing to the
outside of RATATAT was checked as a result.
Through the turn into the back straight MAYWYN’S ACE was tightened for
room and checked. Out of the back
straight into the turn RATATAT and KAMILAROI DUK collided resulting in
KAMILAROI DUK being checked. SLAYER
RETURN raced wide in the back straight.

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M KLOEIS PRIDE was best to begin. On entering the 1st turn
PROVIDENCE and GRAVITY WOLF collided resulting in both runners being
checked. Through the turn into the
back straight RED STEEL, SWIZZLESTICK and ALEEAH JET all collided resulting
in SWIZZLESTICK and ALEEAH JET being checked. The greyhound PROVIDENCE underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound SPRING PLANET underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |
