Due to a heavy thunderstorm with lightning in the area all races were put back 2 race timeslots with the last race commencing at 9.52pm.

ARAFFAS
COFFEE YAMANTO MAIDEN 520M FAMOUS
MOLLY and ESSENTIALLY PURE were best to begin. Shortly after the start STING ‘EM WASP
shifted out and lost momentum.
Approaching the turn out of the front straight ESSENTIALLY PURE was
tightened for room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight MUSTANG NOVA improved onto
the heels of TRIPLE TWIST resulting in TRIPLE TWIST shifting out and racing
wide. Rounding the turn into the back
straight FROSTY FOX was tightened for room, checked and lost ground which
resulted in FROSTY FOX colliding heavily with ESSENTIALLY PURE which was
trailing resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose
considerable ground. Approaching the
turn into the front straight STING ‘EM WASP improved onto the heels of MR.
BELLISSIMO and was momentarily hampered.
Entering the front straight MR. BELLISSIMO shifted out which hampered
the running of STING ‘EM WASP which was racing to its outside. In the back straight MUSTANG NOVA and MY
MOJO collided resulting in MY MOJO to be checked and lose ground. The
greyhound ESSENTIALLY PURE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
no apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound FROSTY FOX underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down
for a period of 7 days. |

Shortly after the start IMA RUNAWAY was tightened for room, checked
and lost ground. Rounding the turn out
of the front straight THAT HOUDINI was tightened for room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after DIAMOND FLUSH
was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
LONGTIME COMIN’ and SENNI LUCILLE bumped over a considerable distance. At the same time THUNDER OF FIRE and THAT
HOUDINI bumped over a considerable distance.
Entering the back straight THUNDER OF FIRE and THAT HOUDINI collided
resulting in THAT HOUDINI to be checked and lose ground. SENNI LUCILLE raced wide it the back
straight. Approaching the turn into
the front straight THAT HOUDINI improved onto the heels of REAL CALL and was
momentarily hampered. Shortly after
SENNI LUCILLE improved onto the heels of THAT HOUDINi and was momentarily
hampered. |

KROPPS MECHANICAL NOVICE 520M MIGHTY NOVA
was best to begin. Shortly after the
start PANALO and MINNIE MARTINI collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Shortly after
IT’S ABOUT TIME and PANALO collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight WILDASH GEE, IT’S ABOUT TIME, PANALO and MINNIE
MARTINI raced tight resulting in MINNIE MARTINI to be checked with WILDASH
GEE, IT’S ABOUT TIME and PANALO to be severely checked and lose considerable
ground. In this incident WILDASH GEE
made contact with the running rail. In
the front straight during the latter stages of the race IT’S ABOUT TIME and
BLUE ME collided. The greyhound
WILDASH GEE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period
of 10 days. |

BLACKALL STREET BUTCHERY 5th GRADE 520M EMMA’S MAGIC and ARE YOU THERE were best to begin. In the back straight MADAM LOOPSY was
tightened for room, checked and lost ground.
Entering the front straight BUSH SPIRIT turned its head and made
muzzle contact with LIGHTNING WHITE resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked. Shortly after EMMA’S MAGIC
turned its head and made muzzle contact with BUSH SPIRIT resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked. Stewards advised trainer’s representative Mr. B Morris
that the greyhound BUSH SPIRIT would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. Stewards advised trainer Mr. W Elson that the greyhound
EMMA’S MAGIC would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

Leaving the front straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for room,
checked and lost considerable ground.
Entering the back straight MY SUPER shifted out which hampered the
running of AUBERON. Leaving the back
straight ARDEN STREET and AUBERON collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. The greyhound GIFTED ANGEL underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side hip and was stood down for a period of 2 weeks. |

STACEY ELECTRICAL 4/5th GRADE 520M PANAMERA and SENOR’S SON were best to begin. Shortly after the start DREAM OF SPEED was
tightened for room, checked and lost ground.
In the front straight shortly after the start SUITE ALEXIS was tightened
for room, checked and lost ground.
Shortly after BIWOTT checked across the heels of SWIFT NIMROD and was
momentarily hampered. Rounding the
turn out of the front straight SWIFT NIMROD and BIWOTT collided resulting in
SWIFT NIMROD to be checked and lose ground.
BLITZ ‘EM which was racing to the outside of SWIFT NIMROD was checked
as a result of this incident and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight PANAMERA and SENOR’S SON
bumped over a considerable distance.
Entering the back straight PANAMERA was tightened for room, checked
and lost ground. |

ground. Entering the back straight
SPILLING SECRETS shifted out which tightened the racing room and ALOTA FUTURE
which in turn shifted out and collided with a SLAYER RETURN resulting in both
SLAYER RETURN and ALOTA FUTURE to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the back straight ALOTA FUTURE was
tightened for room, checked and lost ground. |

BLUEY, KIKEMZEST, GUY FAWKES, JACOBY RAIDER and SPRING ELLIE were all
tightened for racing room through the first turn and lost ground to varying
degrees. Approaching the turn into the front straight HANG ON LADS and GUY
FAWKES collide resulting in both greyhounds being check and lose ground. The greyhound HANG ON LADS underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
