MAIDEN 431M Even
start with the exception of LOVED UP which was marginally slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn AURIGA
CINDY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn TAT’S DREAM
and ORPHAN ANNIE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight ORPHAN ANNIE checked across the heels of MONLOR RON and was
momentarily hampered. Rounding the
turn into the front straight TAT’S DREAM and AURIGA CINDY collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. In the front straight ORPHAN ANNIE and
MONLOR RON collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. The
greyhound TAT’S DREAM underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for
a period of 14 days. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M ROSDUE AVALON, SPRING POLLY, RIPPING ESCAPE and SLIP MY
MIND were best to begin. Shortly after
the start SUPER SCOOTER and GOLD RAINS collided resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. ALL
THREE GRADES was slow to begin.
Approaching the first turn GOLD RAINS and ALL THREE GRADES collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Through the first turn UP THE HEAT and
ROSDUE AVALON collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Entering the back straight
RIPPING ESCAPE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight UP THE HEAT was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after UP THE HEAT shifted out which
resulted in SLIP MY MIND being taken wider on the track and checked as a
consequence. Rounding the turn into
the front straight UP THE HEAT and ROSDUE AVALON bumped resulting in both
greyhounds being momentarily hampered. The greyhound UP THE HEAT underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
fore foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

RENALD and MAKE TODAY COUNT were best to begin. RUMBLING JAKE was slow out. Through the first turn AVENUE HERO, WATCH
OUT RENALD, SPRING LILL and RUMBLING JAKE were all tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Entering the
front straight SPRING LILL and CIA KAHN collided resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. |

Shortly after the start DASH OF LUCK was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Approaching
the first turn DASH OF LUCK shifted out and collided with SAMANTHA BENZ
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Through the first turn BLUE ME, DASH OF
LUCK and GALWAY EAGLE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. In the back straight CHIPS
AHOY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. DASH OF LUCK which was trailing was checked
as a consequence. Approaching the turn
out of the back straight KAAN PAKMAK was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. CHIPS AHOY which was trailing
was checked as a consequence. |

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of GOOD BOY SEAMUS and
COPPER LIGHT which were marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start GOOD BOY SEAMUS was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after MISTER DEBONAIR was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
In the front straight on the first occasion NATURAL LAD and GEAR UP
collided. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight MISTER DEBONAIR and GEAR UP collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE FINAL
431M SPRING RECALL was best to begin. Shortly after the start PENTADOG was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
In the back straight FROSTY FLYER shifted out which momentarily
hampered the running of CAPTAIN’S KNOCK.
Approaching the turn into the front straight FROSTY FLYER and PENTADOG
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
SPRING RECALL checked across the heels of HAPPY GLEN and was momentarily
hampered. Entering the front straight
CAPTAIN’S KNOCK and MAYWYN WILL WIN collided resulting in both greyhounds to
be checked and lose ground. In the
front straight SPRING RECALL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. |

4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M HANNAH’S BELL and ONLY EXIT were best to begin. FROSTY BROWN was slow out. Through the first turn HASSIE’S HASSLE and
GLOBAL DEEJAY bumped. Leaving the back
straight SNOW RUNNER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. When questioned over the performance of HANNAH’S BELL
trainer Mr. S Gould explained that he had only obtained the greyhound
recently and had four starts in his care.
He stated that when HANNAH’S BELL came into his kennel it was carrying
a number of injuries which he had been able to treat and in his view the
greyhound is now racing injury free.
He further stated the he was not surprised by the way the greyhound
had won tonight after being beaten into 2nd place at Albion Park
on 30 November 2016 where it received considerable amount of interference
throughout that race. He said that he
had given HANNAH’S BELL extra box work leading up to tonight’s event which in
his view contributed to its beginning manners. Stewards noted Mr. Gould’s explanation. |

tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
LOOK THE PART was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound LOOK THE PART underwent
a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5th
GRADE HEAT 3 431M SPRING AGUSTUS was best to begin. BURNING OAK was slow to begin. Through the first turn OPPORTUNE KNOCKA,
REIYN CHAAI and SHE’S ALL BLONDE raced tight resulting in REIYN CHAAI being
checked and lose ground. TABBERER
commenced to give ground rounding the turn into the back straight eventually
pulling up and failing to finish.
Leaving the back straight OPPORTUNE KNOCKA was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight SHE’S ALL BLONDE improved
onto the heels of OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and was momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight
BURNING OAK and SHE’S ALL BLONDE collided resulting in SHE’S ALL BLONDE being
checked and lose ground. The greyhound TABBERER underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and
was humanely euthanised. |

MASTERS 431M Even start with the exception of MR. TRANSPORTER and LIL’
BIT SPARKY which were marginally slow to begin. Approaching the first turn SPRING BLONDE
was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with BOGART BLEND
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. JANE’S JEZABEL which was racing to its
outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight SMASHNIAK CLASS
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. MR. TRANSPORTER and JANE’S JEZABEL were
checked as a result of this incident and lost ground. In the back straight SMASHNIAK CLASS was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight MR. TRANSPORTER
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |
