Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound SWEET CRYSTAL performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.28.

RACE REPORTS
1.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M STAR RISE was best to begin. At the start KAPPA NU and JANE ROSE HI collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the first turn KAPPA NU and JANE ROSE HI collided resulting in both runners to be checked. HYPNOTISE EYES which was racing to their outside was checked as a consequence. Shortly after NOIRE CHERIE and FANCY FREEL collided resulting in both runners to be checked. DORRIE’S PICK which was trailing was hampered as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight JANE ROSE HI shifted outwards and collided with HYPNOTISE EYES resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the turn out of the back straight FANCY FREEL was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight FANCY FREEL checked outwards across the heels of DORRIE’S PICK. HYPNOTISE EYES raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight. Over the concluding stages of the event STAR RISE shifted inwards and collided with NOIRE CHERIE on a number of occasions resulting in both runners to be checked.

2.	SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M The start of this event was delayed due to the boxing manners of WOODY’S PRINCE. PANAMA EYES, DUDE PERFECT and MAYWYN’S ROCKER were all best to begin. BLAZE ROSE HI was slow to begin and WOODY’S WILL was very slow to begin. Entering the first turn MAYWYN’S ROCKER shifted inwards and tightened the running of DUDE PERFECT resulting in that runner to be checked. Shortly after MAYWYN’S ROCKER collided with PANAMA EYES resulting in both runners to be checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight MAYWYN’S ROCKER contacted the hindquarters of PANAMA EYES resulting in PANAMA EYES to be hampered and MAYWYN’S ROCKER to be severely checked. WOODY’S WILL was wide in the front straight. The greyhound WOODY’S PRINCE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. W Liddell over the difficultly in boxing the greyhound. After reviewing all available evidence stewards declared WOODY’S PRINCE as ‘hard to box’ for its future events.

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN FINAL 431M

Even start. Shortly after the start SPRING NAKANO bumped RANGER DANGER resulting in that runner to be momentarily hampered. Approaching the first turn BE FEARLESS, BIG BAD BOB and DRAW THE WHIP were tightened for room and hampered. Entering the first turn BE FEARLESS and BIG BAD BOB were tightened for room and checked. AURIGA RAVEN and CHEEKY YESSAM which were trailing were checked and forced wide around the turn as a result. Approaching the turn out of the back straight DRAW THE WHIP was tightened for room and severely checked. CHEEKY YESSAM which was trailing was checked as a result. AURIGA RAVEN was wide in the back straight.

The greyhound DRAW THE WHIP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start with the exception of FROSTY BROWN which was marginally slow to begin. Approaching the first turn LUCY MOO, FARMOR DIVA and HEZA NOIR were all tightened for room resulting in LUCY MOO to be hampered, HEZA NOIR to be checked and FARMOR DIVA to be severely checked and stumble. FROSTY BROWN which was trailing was hampered as a result of this incident. Shortly after LUCY MOO shifted inwards and made contact with the running rail resulting in that runner to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the back straight HEZA NOIR checked out across the heels of FROSTY BROWN resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the back straight FARMOR DIVA collided with FROSTY BROWN resulting in that runner to be severely checked. HEZA NOIR was wide in the back and front straights.

The greyhound ACE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound LUCY MOO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound FROSTY BROWN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

SPRING LILL, BIG DIPPA, SAMANTHA BENZ and FREAK UNLEASHED were all slow to begin. Entering the first turn BACK ON TRACK, SMASHNIAK BARC and SPRING DOTTIE were all tightened for room and checked. SPRING LILL, SAMANTHA BENZ and FREAK UNLEASHED which were trailing were checked as a consequence. SAMANTHA BENZ was wide in the front straight.

6.	O’ REILLY PET FOOD 5^th GRADE 520M Even start. Shortly after the start MAGOOLEY and BLACK MODEL were tightened for room and momentarily hampered. In the front straight on the first occasion KNOCKER KNOCK contacted the hindquarters of GEAR UP resulting in both runners to be hampered. MAGOOLEY which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Approaching the first turn KNOCKER KNOCK checked outwards across the heels of HURRICANE CHANCE resulting in MAGOOLEY and BLACK MODEL which were racing to its outside to be forced wide into the turn as a result. Rounding the turn into the back straight MAGOOLEY and KNOCKER KNOCK were tightened for room resulting in MAGOOLEY to be checked and KNOCKER KNOCK to be severely checked.

In the front straight on the first occasion ASTIN’S WARRIOR and BEC’S DIAMOND bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Approaching the first turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR and MAYWYN’S YING was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after BEC’S DIAMOND checked outwards across the heels of TURN AND BURN and raced wide entering the first turn. Shortly after TURN AND BURN and SIZEABLE bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Through the first turn TURN AND BURN checked outwards across the heels of SIZEABLE. BEC’S DIAMOND which was trailing was checked as a result. Entering the turn out of the back straight SIZEABLE was tightened for room and checked. Shortly after ASTIN’S WARRIOR was tightened for room and checked.

8.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONSS 4/5^th GRADE 431M Even start. Entering the first turn AINIA, RUSTY’S IMAGE and BOOTY BEACH were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after RUSTY’S IMAGE improved onto the heels of CHEEKY CHEECH resulting in that runner to be checked. BOOTY BEACH which was trailing was checked as a consequence. In the back straight RUSTY’S IMAGE, BOOTY BEACH and CHEEKY CHEECH were wide. Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING AGUSTUS and AINIA were tightened for room and momentarily hampered. In the front straight MR. TRANSPORTER and CHEECKY CHEECH collided on a number of occasions and were checked as a result. RUSTY’S IMAGE and BOOTY BEACH were wide in the front straight.

9.	GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5^th GRADE 431M LORD LACHLAN was marginally slow to begin and BURNING OAK was slow to begin. Shortly after the start HOPEFUL BLUE, THROTTLE ON and GOTTA BE BLACK were tightened for room and hampered. Entering the first turn THROTTLE ON and GOTTA BE BLACK collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Shortly after LORD LACHLAN checked outwards across the heels of HOPEFUL BLUE and collided with THROTTLE ON resulting in both runners to be checked. BURNING OAK which was trailing was hampered as a result. Through the first turn HOPEFUL BLUE was tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight THROTTLE ON shifted outwards and collided with GOTTA BE BLACK resulting in both runners to be checked. BURNING OAK which was racing to the outside was checked as a result of this incident.

Even start. Shortly after the start ROMAN ARMOUR and IMA TALENT collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Approaching the first turn SPRING LAUREN and CHIPS AHOY collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Entering the first turn MONLOR KIM was tightened for room and checked. YOU JANE which was trailing was checked and shifted outwards as a result of this incident. ROMAN AMOUR, SPRING LAUREN and CHIPS AHOY which were racing to that runner’s outside were checked resulting in CHIPS AHOY to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. Entering the back straight YOU JANE and BOGIE MIRACLE were tightened for room and checked. IMA TALENT which was trailing was checked as a result. In the back straight approaching the turn YOU JANE was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING LAUREN checked outwards across the heels of MONLOR KIM and raced wide around the turn as a result. In the front straight IMA TALENT checked inwards across the heels of BOGIE MIRACLE and was hampered as a result. YOU JANE was wide in the front straight.

The greyhound CHIPS AHOY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
