Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound STORM RAIDER performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.22 and
is now cleared all tracks. |

MAIDEN 431M ROSDUE
BALBOA was best to begin. DJANGO was
slowly away. Immediately after the
start FLYING FEE FEE and DUDE PERFECT came
together. In the 1st turn
FROSTY FOX checked off heels with DUDE PERFECT, LITE ME UP ane ORPHAN ANNIE were all tightened causing LITE ME UP to
lose ground. As a result
LITE ME UP, DJANGO and FLYING FEE FEE all collided
and LITE ME UP lost further ground.
Entering the back straight FLYING FEE FEE
was hampered on heels. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M FABIARNA was best to begin while ELUSIVE QUEEN and FATAL
CHARM were slowly away. Shortly after
the start FROSTY BEJAY and GALWAY KITE came together. At the same time BIG TURLS and WIGGLE EMMA
collided causing WIGGLE EMMA to stumble.
In the 1st turn FROSTY BEJAY and GALWAY KITE were tightened
between MANDELA CLOUD and FATAL CHARM resulting in FATAL CHARM, FROSTY BEJAY
and GALWAY KITE losing ground. ELUSIVE
QUEEN which was following was hampered. |

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M The greyhound
SHAKEY RANDLE underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
PERFECT LADY underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
AVOID DAMAGE underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
LISA ROSE HI underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The start of
this event was delayed due to difficulty boxing the greyhound PERFECT
LADY. Consequently
the greyhounds which had been boxed and subsequently removed from the boxes
including SHAKEY RANDLE, PERFECT LADY, LISA ROSE HI and AVOID DAMAGE all
underwent veterinary examinations prior to this event and all were passed fit
to race. As a result of this incident
stewards declared the greyhound PERFECT LADY ‘hard to box’. SHAKEY RANDLE
and THIRTY SIX were best to begin with DIDDY BOY was
slow. Shortly after the start PERFECT
LADY and SPRING DOLLY collided. Near
the 1st turn THIRTY SIX, SURF CATCHER and
SPRING DOLLY were tight and unbalanced.
Leaving the 1st turn DIDDY BOY tailed off and took no
further competitive part in the event.
In the back straight LISA ROSE HI tailed off and took no further
competitive part in the event. The greyhound
DIDDY BOY underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the chest and was
stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound
LISA ROSE HI underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip
support and was stood down for a period of 28 days. The greyhound
SURF CATCHER underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind achilles tendon and was stood down for a period of 10
days. |

and ME TARZAN were tight and unbalanced causing ME TARZAN to shift out and
collide with NAVAJO WARRIOR. ONE IN
SIX was also hampered. SPRING ROCCA
shifted wide in the 1st turn. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M MAGGIE BENZ was slow to begin. In the 1st turn MAYWYN WILL WIN
and RAMBLIN’ ROSE were tight. Shortly
after, MAGGIE BENZ checked off heels and collided with NAOMI ROSE HI and
TELEX FINGERS and all greyhounds lost ground.
CHEEKY CHEECH was wide in the back straight. Entering the top turn MAGGIE BENZ shifted
out hampering CHEEKY CHEECH. Entering
the home straight RAMBLIN’ ROSE checked off heels. In the home straight CHEEKY CHEECH and
MAGGIE BENZ collided. The greyhound MAGGIE BENZ underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were
found. Stewards questioned the trainer
Mr G. Pettersen regarding the greyhound’s seemingly
below market expectation performance.
Mr Pettersen advised stewards that the
greyhound is not always quick leaving the boxes and that a wide box draw is
preferable for this greyhound. He advised that connections did not support
the greyhound on this occasion.
Stewards noted Mr Pettersen’s comments. Stewards also received a report from Betting
Intelligence Officer Mr A. Kitching who advised
that no abnormalities were detected in the betting on this event. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 4/5th GRADE HEAT
2 431M LOTS OF TIME was best to begin. Shortly after the start SPRING IT ON was
tightened between MAYWYN’S YING and BENTAXLE.
In the 1st turn HAPPY GLEN, FABULOUS WALL and ROAD TO FLAME
were tight and unbalanced causing ROAD TO FLAME to shift out and collide with
LOTS OF TIME and REIYN CHAAI. As a result ROAD TO FLAME lost ground and REIYN CHAAI was
forced to shift out and collided with BENTAXLE severely inconveniencing both
greyhounds. Shortly after, MAYWYN’S
YING checked off heels and collided with ROAD TO FLAME. Entering the back straight SPRING IT ON
lost ground when in clear running. In
the back straight REIYN CHAAI checked off heels. Entering the top turn ROAD
TO FLAME was tightened. Entering the
home straight HAPPY GLEN checked off heels. The greyhound SPRING IT ON underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a
period of 6 weeks. |

HUMMIN GUN collided. In the 1st
turn HUMMIN GUN and BURNING OAK raced wide and unbalance. ELLIE’S BOY and TOO MANY BILLS were wide in
the back straight. Approaching the
winning post SPILLING SECRETS and BURNING OAK came together. |

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th
GRADE HEAT 3 431M SPRING AGUSTUS was best to begin. Shortly after the start ROSDUE BLUE GUM,
SPLIT SYSTEM and SCAR’S BROTHER came together causing ROSDUE BLUE GUM to lose
ground and take no further competitive part in the event. At the same time CLASSIC TERRA and EUROA AZAZ
collided. In the top turn SCAR’S
BROTHER and SPLIT SYSTEM raced tight. The greyhound ROSDUE BLUE GUM
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down
for a period of 10 days. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE HEAT 4 431M SAMANTHA BENZ and CAPTAIN’S KNOCK were slow to
begin. Shortly after the start AWESOME
WILLS and ON THE RIZE collided. In the
1st turn AWESOME WILLS, ON THE RISE, PENCIL and MILKY CHANCE all
collided. In the top turn MIRANDA ROSE HI, AWESOME WILLS, MILKY CHANCE and
SAMANTHA BENZ all came together and were heavily checked. PENCIL which was following was
inconvenienced. In the top turn
MIRANDA ROSE HI checked off heels. The greyhound AWESOME WILLS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

TRANSPORTER collided shortly after the start.
In the 1st turn MOKO ROSE HI shifted in tightening NOT THE
ONE forcing this greyhound to collide with JANE’S JEZABEL and SMASHNIAK
CLASS. Entering the back straight
HOLYWOOD ROSE HI was tightened and lost ground. Approaching the top turn NOT THE ONE and
HOLYWOOD ROSE HI came together.
Shortly after, MR. TRANSPORTER checked off heels. Entering the home straight MAYWYN’S COPY
and MOKO ROSE HI collided. In the home
straight HOLYWOOD ROSE HI checked off heels. |
