Stewards Trial 1 – 520M The greyhound EMMA’S MAGIC performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 30.60 and
is now cleared all tracks. |

GOLLY GOSH was best to begin. Approaching
the turn out of the front straight SUPER SCOOTER was tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. At the
same time ITSA PATCHY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
MR. BELLISSIMO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The
greyhound VALERIE MERLE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound ITSA PATCHY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind toe and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

SKY RACING NOVICE 520M VELOCITY ALLY was best to begin. FIRED UP AGAIN was marginally slow to
begin. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight FIRED UP AGAIN shifted in and made contact with the running
rail and shortly after collided with BIG DIPPA. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SENTIMENTAL LADY and CHIPS AHOY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn into the front straight BIG DIPPA was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. The greyhound FIRED UP AGAIN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M JUST SPIFFING
and DUSKY SILK were best to begin.
SPRING FIRECHIEF, SWIFT NIMROD and LOGAN CITY were all marginally slow
to begin. Shortly after the start LOVE
SHAK shifted out and bumped LOGAN CITY resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Leaving the
front straight LOVE SHAK and JUST SPIFFING were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. SPRING
FIRECHIEF and SWIFT NIMROD which were trailing were checked as a consequence
and lost ground. Shortly after JUST
SPIFFING shifted out as a consequence of the early incident and collided with
a SPRING FIRECHIEF and SWIFT NIMROD resulting in all greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
LOVE SHAK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost considerable ground. Entering the front straight LOVE SHAK and
JUST SPIFFING collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start GEORGE GALLON shifted out which hampered the
running of VELOCITY EBONY and KIKEM STORMY.
Leaving the front straight LIKA BREWSKY was tightened for racing room,
checked, shifted out and collided with VELOCITY EBONY resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. Shortly
after LOVED UP and SPORTFAN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. VELOCITY EBONY which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and lost ground. |

Shortly after the start SHUNT MAN and OUTBACK SUNSHINE were tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight OUTBACK SUNSHINE improved
onto the heels of CHAMPAGNE SALLY and was checked as a consequence. The greyhound OUTBACK SUNSHINE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

RQ YOUNGS GUNS HEAT 2 520M MAGIC HORNET, GINGER BENZ and ACE were best to
begin. FAMOUS MOLLY and WAY OF SHADOWS
were marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start GUNNADOO REV and GO LASSIE GO collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Approaching the turn out of the front straight FAMOUS MOLLY was
tightened for racing room and contacted the running rail and was checked as a
consequence losing ground. Rounding
the turn out of the front straight HESPERIDES improved onto the heels of
MAGIC HORNET resulting in MAGIC HORNET to be checked and lose ground. Shortly after WAY OF SHADOWS and MAGIC
HORNET collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Approaching the turn into the
front straight ACE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the front straight
WAY OF SHADOWS and ACE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked
and lose ground. GUNNADOO REV which
was trailing was checked as a consequence. The greyhound FAMOUS MOLLY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

Shortly after the start PYRO BOB and SLICK were both tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight DOWN SIZED UP improved
onto the heels of JURY resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. SLICK and SNEAKIN’ OUT which
were racing to its outside were both checked as a result of this
incident. Approaching the turn into
the back straight SINGLETON and DOWN SIZED UP collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Shortly after PYRO BOB and SIZEABLE collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
SLICK raced wide rounding the turn into the back straight. INVERGARRY LADY raced wide in the back
straight. Entering the front straight
SINGLETON checked across the heels of SIZEABLE and was momentarily hampered. |

RQ YOUNGS GUNS HEAT 4 520M FAST TIMES was best to begin. LIGHTNING WHITE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start FLAPPING GUMS was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight on the first occasion
DREAM BLASTER, ISLA’S STYLE, TURN AND BURN and MINNIE MARTINI all raced tight
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
FLAPPING GUMS and MINNIE MARTINI collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. ISLA’S STYLE
which was trailing was hampered as a result of this incident. |

G J WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start CIGARS ON ICE, TOLL EVASION and RED STEEL
raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked. Through the first turn TOLL EVASION was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after CIGARS ON ICE and RED STEEL
collided resulting in RED STEEL being checked and lose ground. Entering the back straight CIGARS ON ICE
checked across the heels of MALLOURY QUEEN and was momentarily hampered. Leaving the back straight RED STEEL was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE 431M The start of this race was delayed when SPANISH HARBOUR
proved difficult to box. SPANISH
HARBOUR was declared ‘hard to box’ for future events. Even start.
Shortly after the start LIL’ BIT SPARKY, ORANGE THUNDER and ON THE
WALL were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the
first turn HAVE SOME and SPANISH HARBOUR collided resulting in HAVE SOME
being severely checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the
race. ON THE WALL which was trailing
was checked and lost ground as a result of this incident. SENNI LUCILLE was checked as a result of
this incident and lost considerable ground.
SENNI LUCILLE raced wide around the turn into the front straight. The greyhound ON THE WALL underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the off side dew claw and was stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound HAVE SOME underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. The greyhound ORANGE THUNDER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the near fore webbing and was stood down for a period
of 14 days. |
