MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M RUN
CHUCK RUN began awkwardly. ARABIAN GO
DANI and PHANTOM PETE were slow to begin.
Approaching the 1st turn AURIGA CINDY was tightened and
shifted out causing interference to GALWAY KITE and PHANTOM PETE. In the 1st turn RUN CHUCK RUN
contacted the running rail and proceeded to shift out and collide with
ALISSA’S ANGEL. ARABIAN GO DANI which
was racing to its outside was also inconvenienced. Shortly after, PHANTOM PETE, GALWAY KITE
and AURIGA CINDY collided and became severely unbalanced. The
greyhound RUN CHUCK RUN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 520M ALIMAY OSTI and COWGIRL LUCY were best to begin. Shortly after the start NOIRE CHERIE and
MR. BELLISSIMO collided and lost ground.
Entering the 1st turn WAZZA QUEEN was hampered on the heels
of COSMIC COPY and raced wide. MR.
BELLISSIMO shifted wide in the 1st turn. COSMIC COPY and WAZZA QUEEN were wide in
the back straight. Leaving the top
turn NOIRE CHERIE and ALIMAY OSTI collided. The greyhound GOLD LINER underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 520M LITTLE MISS
SHOW and SHARP SONGAR were slow to begin.
Approaching the 1st turn ZILLIE BEAN was tightened. LITTLE MISS SHOW was wide at the 1st
turn. Through the 1st turn
THUNDER OF FIRE was tightened as SHARP SONGAR shifted out. SHARP SONGAR was wide in the back
straight. In the home straight LITTLE
MISS SHOW checked off heels. |

out abruptly. SWIFT DUAL and FAMOUS
MOLLY was tightened shortly after. In
the front straight SWIFT DUAL and FIRED UP AGAIN collided. In the 1st turn BILLY BEAN
checked off heels. Shortly after,
SWIFT DUAL shifted out collided with FAMOUS MOLLY and FARMOR DIVA. SWIFT DUAL and FARMOR DIVA raced tight and
unbalanced through the turn and lost ground as a result. |

PET FOODS 4/5th GRADE 431M ROAD TO FLAME was best to begin while RED STEEL and MAGIC
PASS were slow. Shortly after the
start MIGHT NIMROD, ALOTA FUTURE and IMA NECROMANCER all collided. In the 1st turn MIGHTY NIMROD,
ALOTA FUTURE, IMA NECROMANCER, RED STEEL and MAGIC PASS all collided and
became severely unbalanced. Entering
the back straight IMA NECROMANCER and ALOTA FUTURE were both tightened and
lost ground. ALOTA FUTURE lost
significant ground and took no further competitive part in the event. Entering the back straight ROAD TO FLAME
checked off heels. The greyhound ALOTA FUTURE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was stood down for a period of 12 weeks. Trainer Mr D. Bloomfield advised stewards
that after receiving veterinary attention on course the greyhound would be
taken home to recover, and he would seek further necessary attention from his
own veterinarian in the coming days. |

520M BEC’S DIAMOND, MIDNIGHT DASHER and JUST SPIFFING were
best to begin while SEIZED ASSET was slowly away. Approaching the 1st turn
INVERGARRY LADY shifted in hampering SENTIMENTAL LADY. In the 1st turn BEC’S DIAMOND
checked off heels. Shortly after,
COSMIC CAPERS shifted out checking SPORTFAN and JUST SPIFFING. INVERGARRY LADY and SENTIMENTAL LADY which
were following were hampered and forced wide as a result. Shortly after, SENTIMENTAL LADY checked off
heels. Entering the top turn SPORTFAN
was tightened and lost ground. In the
top turn SENTIMENTAL LADY checked off heels. |

GRADE HEAT 2 520M ARDEN STREET began awkwardly. PETITE ZIP ZIP was best to begin while GAB
TAR was slowly away. Shortly after the
start CHAMPAGNE SALLY and MY SUPER collided.
Approaching the 1st turn SLICK, PETITE ZIP ZIP and MY SUPER
were all tightened and checked to varying degrees and PETITE ZIP ZIP fell,
taking no further competitive part in the event. GAB TAR which was following was hampered
and ARDEN STREET was inconvenienced as SLICK lost ground due to this
incident. Approaching the top turn
ARDEN STREET checked off heels. In the
top turn SLICK checked off heels. |

GRADE HEAT 3 520M IN THE BAZZA and OH GOLLY GOSH were
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start IN THE BAZZA and SINGLETON were checked. In the 1st turn SMACK DAB
checked off heels and collided with OH GOLLY GOSH. Both greyhounds lost significant
ground. COSMIC DENLYN which was
following was severely hampered.
Entering the back straight IN THE BAZZA and SMACK DAB collided and
became unbalanced and OH GOLLY GOSH which was following was inconvenienced. |

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M Even start. In the
1st turn BENTAXLE, JUST SIZE, HERO HAYDOS, SENNI LUCILLE and TIP
TIP HOORAY were all tight and unbalanced and all greyhounds lost ground as a
result of this incident. Approaching
the top turn COOL CREDIT was checked and lost ground resulting in
interference to TIP TIP HOORAY, JUST SIZE and HERO HAYDOS which were
following. The greyhound COOL CREDIT underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

checked ARABIAN MELODY which in turn collided with LOOK THE PART who was
forced onto the running of HOPPING HOUDINI, LIL’ BIT SPARKY and HARRY BENZ
and all greyhounds were checked. FERAL
LAD which was following was severely inconvenienced. In the 1st turn LOOK THE PART
checked off heels and collided with ARABIAN MELODY and FIREFLY JAMES. Entering the back straight HOPPING HOUDINI
checked off heels. In the top turn
HARRY BENZ and MADAM LOOPSY collided and MADAM LOOPSY was hampered. Entering the home straight LOOK THE PART
checked off heels. The greyhound FERAL LAD underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
