BAJA was best to begin.  Through the first turn SPRING ERNIE, QUICK FOOT, SENZA REBEL and PACIFIC MOON were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SENZA REBEL bumped PACIFIC MOON resulting in that runner to be hampered.  Entering the turn out of the back straight DAHOMEY WINDFIRE bumped BLUE DOT resulting in that runner to be hampered.  Shortly after BAJA and SPRING ERNIE were tightened for room and checked.  SENZA REBEL which was trailing collided heavily with SPRING ERNIE resulting in that runner to be severely checked.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

PRECIOUS SAL was best to begin with BLAZE ROSE HI slow to begin.  Shortly after the start LITTLE LUCY was tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn GRAND ANGEL and GRAND RULER collided on a number of occasions resulting in both runners to be checked.  LITE ME UP which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight GRAND ANGEL was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards.  GRAND RULER which was racing to its outside was severely checked as a result.  Entering the turn out of the back straight KRANKY was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound GRAND RULER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The start of this event was delayed due to a thoroughbred event.  GOLD RAINS, UP THE HEAT, GALLANT EXPLORER and PAN YOKO were best to begin.  Shortly after the start DUDE PERFECT checked off heels.  Through the first turn UP THE HEAT and GALLANT EXPLORER were tightened for room and checked.  BACK ON TRACK and DUDE PERFECT which were trailing were hampered as a result.  Entering the turn out of the back straight NOVELLA was tightened for room and checked.  GALLANT EXPLORER and BACK ON TRACK which were trailing were checked as a result.  Rounding the turn into the front straight PRATER’S ACE shifted outwards making contact with the heels of BACK ON TRACK resulting in both runners to be checked.

KAPPA NU was slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn WILDASH BAM BAM and SNOZZSTA collided on a number of occasions and were checked as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight DIAMOND JAKEY was tightened for room and checked.  SNOZZSTA and SPRING NAKANO were wide in the back straight.  Entering the turn out of the back straight WILDASH BAM BAM and SNOZZSTA were tightened for room and checked.  SPRING NAKANO which was trailing was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the front straight JALANCY LEE contacted the hindquarters of WILDASH BAM BAM resulting in both runners to be checked.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS MAIDEN FINAL 431M

MIDNIGHT BURN, CAPO and COLD NIGHTS were best to begin.  Approaching the first turn SPRING POLLY checked off heels.  Entering the first turn SPRING POLLY and FROSTY BEJAY collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  Through the first turn CAPO and COLD NIGHTS collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  MAGIC BENZ, SHOT TO FAME and WESTENDER which were trailing were checked as a result.  Entering the back straight CAPO checked off heels.  Entering the turn out of the back straight MIDNIGHT BURN was tightened for room and checked.  Over the concluding stages of the event FROSTY BEJAY and WESTENDER bumped on a number of occasions resulting in both runners to be hampered.  CAPO was wide in the back and front straights.

 

The greyhound CAPO underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Through the first turn FROSTY AJAY, MAYWYN WILL WIN, GOTTA BE BLACK, MR. TRANSPORTER and KING SIZED were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight MR. TRANSPORTER contacted the hindquarters of GOTTA BE BLACK resulting in both runners to be hampered.  Entering the turn out of the back straight FROSTY AJAY was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  MR. TRANSPORTER which was trailling was hampered as a result.

DON’T WEAKEN was best to begin.  WITHOUT FAIL and ONE IN SIX were slow to begin.  Shortly after the start WITHOUT FAIL checked off heels.  Approaching the first turn and through the turn rounding the back straight LADY PERLITA and GOTCHA CHA CHA bumped on a number of occasions and were hampered as a result.  Entering the first turn HURRICANE CHANCE and FROSTY BROWN collided resulting in HURRICANE CHANCE to be checked and shift outwards.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SENTIMENTAL LADY checked off heels.  Over the concluding stages of the event FROSTY BROWN was tightened for room and hampered.

ONLY EXIT was very slow to begin.  Through the first turn SPRING ELLIE and MAGGIE BENZ were tightened for room and checked.  AINIA and LITTLE ACH CEE which were trailing were checked as a consequence.  Entering the turn out of the back straight ONLY EXIT was tightened for room and hampered.

THOMAS ROSE HI was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ESCALA was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the first turn all runners with the exception of SPRING HOUDINI and LATE SHOW SNOWY were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SHAKEY RANDLE and ESCALA were tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards.  Entering the turn out of the back straight SPRING HOUDINI was tightened for room and hampered.

SNOW RUNNER and ON THE WALL were best to begin.  Shortly after the start SILKY OAK contacted the hindquarters of SNOW RUNNER resulting in that runner to be hampered.  Entering the first turn STEP BACK LASS, SILKY OAK and SNOW RUNNER were tightened for room and checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight GOLDEN MANNERS was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  In the back straight STEP BACK LASS was tightened for room and hampered.  Entering the turn out of the back straight GOLDEN MANNERS contacted the hindquarters of JUST SIZE resulting in that runner to be hampered.  Shortly after STEP BACK LASS and SNOW RUNNER bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered.
