MAIDEN 431M CHIPPIE
ROSE HI was best to begin. Shortly
after the start GUNLEE GIRL and LADY SPUR collided. At the same time HEARTLAND FLASH and
THERE’S A FOOL collided. Through the first
turn CATCH ME KEITH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. GUNLEE GIRL, HEARTLAND FLASH
and THERE’S A FOOL which were all racing to its outside were checked as a
consequence and lost ground. In the
back straight CATCH ME KEITH shifted out which hampered the running of GUNLEE
GIRL, HEARTLAND FLASH and THERE’S A FOOL.
CATCH ME KEITH raced wide rounding the turn into the front
straight. HEARTLAND FLASH and CATCH ME
KEITH raced wide in the run to the finish. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M ALPHA ZEPHYR, TINY TAPPER and ADAM ROSE HI were best to
begin. MR. BELLISSIMO and FARAHMAC
were slow out. Approaching the turn
into the back straight FARAHMAC improved onto the heels of TINY TAPPER
resulting in TINY TAPPER to be checked and lose ground. |

ALPHA FINANCIAL SERVICES MAIDEN 431M Even
start. Shortly after the start CHOC
LATTE CLOUD, MINTY FRESH, WILDASH DIVA and GO FOR CHUCK raced tight resulting
in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. NEED SOME SPEED which was racing to the
inside of CHOC LATTE CLOUD was checked as a result of this incident. Through the first turn CHOC LATTE CLOUD,
MINTY FRESH and GO FOR CHUCK were all checked due to tight racing and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
back straight MINTY FRESH and GO FOR CHUCK collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
In the back straight MINTY FRESH and GO FOR CHUCK collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. MINTY FRERSH commenced to
give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the
remainder of the field. The greyhound
MINTY FRESH underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. Stewards advised
trainer Mr. M Emery that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71
Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial
413m all tracks prior to nominating. The greyhound
GO FOR CHUCK underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

MAIDEN FINAL 431M Even start with the exception of OLD MATE KICK which was
marginally slow to begin. Through the first
turn BLUE DOT and SENZA REBEL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Leaving the
back straight QUICK FOOT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. KRANKY which was trailing was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight SENZA REBEL was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M The start of this race was delayed when SPRING NAKANO
proved difficult to load in the boxes.
SPRING NAKANO will be declared a ‘hard to box’ greyhound for its
immediate racing future. Even start. Through the first turn SPRING NAKANO, MAGICAL
MO, BACK ON TRACK and GOLD RAINS were all tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Leaving the back
straight MAGICAL MO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound MAGICAL MO underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M CHILLED HEAT was best to begin. Shortly after the start WHAT A MESS
collided with SPRING FORTE resulting in SPRING FORTE to be checked and lose
ground. Shortly after INVERGARRY LADY
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight ARE YOU THERE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight SPRING FORTE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after WHAT A MESS and
GOLDEN MANNERS collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. In the front straight during
the latter stages of the race SPRING FORTE shifted out and made muzzle
contact with UNIQUE MOTIVE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. C Graham that the greyhound
SPRING FORTE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M DUSTY WAY, DROP SHORT and OUTBACK SUNSHINE were best to
begin. NOVELLA was slow to begin. Entering the back straight PETITE ZIP ZIP
shifted out which hampered the running of SENTIMENTAL LADY. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4th GRADE 431M THIS TIME MADDIE was best to
begin. Through the first turn SPRING
AGUSTUS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. At the same time COST A QUID improved onto
the heels and was checked as a consequence.
Entering the back straight WILDASH WILDBOY and SPILLING SECRETS
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. COST A QUID which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and lost ground. SPRING AGUSTUS commenced to give ground
leaving the back straight. The greyhound SPRING AGUSTUS underwent
a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the off side hip support and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

resulting in both ZAFONIC FORCE and AINIA to be checked and lose ground. |

the first turn GUNNY’S RUNNER, FAMOUS MOLLY, GOTTA BE BLACK and NINA ROSE HI
were all tightened for racing room and checked to varying degrees. Entering the back straight NINA ROSE HI was
tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. NINA ROSE HI shifted out rounding the turn
into the front straight which hampered the running of FAMOUS MOLLY. |
