Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound OUTLAW ANNIE performed a
satisfactory stewards’ Return to Racing trial over the distance of 431m in a
time of 26.20. |

start. Shortly after the start WILDASH
GEE shifted out checking the running of DASH OF LUCK. Leaving the front straight BILLY BEAN was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. VELOCITY SONIA which was trailing was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
WILDASSH GEE raced wide rounding the turn out of the front straight. Approaching the turn into the back straight
FIRED UP AGAIN and RUN CHUCK RUN collided.
Entering the back straight KAPPA NU shifted out which hampered the
running of RUN CHUCK RUN. Rounding the
turn into the front straight BILLY BEAN and RUN CHUCK RUN collided. WILDASH GEE and KAPPA NU raced wide in the
back straight. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 1 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start APACHE BROOK shifted out tightening the racing
room of NO NOT ME and REGAL HOPE resulting in all greyhounds being
momentarily hampered. REGAL HOPE raced
wide rounding the turn into the back straight. Entering the back straight PALLINGTON
improved onto the hindquarters of JAY AYE resulting in that greyhound to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. The greyhound JAY AYE underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 2520M Even
start. Shortly after the start SMOKIN’
ALICE was tightened for room, checked and lost ground. SHARP SPUR which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and lost ground. In
the front straight on the 1st occasion SCIPIO AFRICANUS, MASKED
ZORRO and FABRIQUE were tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
SMOKIN’ ALICE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. RATHER DAPPER and ISOBELLA’S MAGIC raced
wide in the back straight. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 3 520M ELLA OAK and MATTHEW TERRENCE were best to begin. ME MATE MOUSE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start MATTHEW TERRENCE
shifted in tightening the racing room of REGAL LEN and SIMMSY’S NINERON
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. ME MATE MOUSE raced wide rounding the turn
out of the front straight which hampered the running of REGAL LEN and
BINALONG ROAD. Approaching the turn
into the back straight SIMMSY’S NINERON was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
SIMMSY’S NINERON and REGAL LEN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. The greyhound REGAL LEN underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

VINCE
CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 4 520M Even start.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight PRATER’S RECRUIT was
tightened for racing room, checked and fell.
BIG BAD BOB which was trailing was severely checked and fell,
resulting in both greyhounds taking no further competitive part in the
race. TRISTAN CANNON was severely
checked as a result of this incident and lost considerable ground. Shortly after WAZZA QUEEN and DONNY’S BEACH
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound BIG BAD BOB underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound PRATER’S RECRUIT underwent a post-race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side front webbing and was stood down for a period of 21 days. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 5 520M Stewards delayed the ‘all clear’ to allow them the
opportunity to view the patrol film in respect to the position of the lure on
the 1st turn. After viewing
the all available videos stewards were satisfied and gave the ‘all clear’. GO FOR CHUCK was best to begin. MAJAK BENZ was slow to begin. Shortly after the start SMOOTH CLAUDIA and
REGAL CYNDIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Shortly after KIOWA BROOK was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
SMOOTH CLAUDIA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. KIOWA BROOK which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight REGAL CYNDIE and MAJAK
BENZ collided. In the back straight
REGAL CYNDIE and MUSTANG NOVA collided. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 6 520M FRIENDZ and FAB FIT were best to begin. JACK OAK was slow to begin. Shortly after the start FRIENDZ and HIPSTER
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. At the same time ICONIC BEACH was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Leaving the front straight HIPSTER was tightened for racing room,
checked and then shifted out and raced wide for a short distance. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
JACK OAK and PHANTOM HENRY collide resulting in both greyhounds to be checked
and lose ground. Rounding the turn out
of the back straight REGAL TRAV was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. |

520M Even start with the exception of REGAL
BILL which was slow to begin. Shortly
after the start SNUG, PRATER’S RPOMISE and SHAKEY START were all tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
SNUG and SHAKEY START collided on a number of occasions in the front
straight on the 1st occasion.
CYCLONE BARCI raced wide rounding the turn into the home straight. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 8 520M Even start.
Leaving the front straight FREE SPIRIT was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. BONKNOCKA
LASS and REGAL WAZ which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
back straight AUDI KEY was tightened for racing room and fell as a
consequence taking no further part in the race. FREE SPIRIT which was trailing was
severely checked and lost ground as a result of this incident. The greyhound AUDI KEY underwent a post-race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL MAIDEN HEAT 9 520M OPAL NERA was best to begin. Shortly after the start KULU RUSTY and
AKKATOR collided. Leaving the front
straight AKKATOR and AMBER MARIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Shortly after
PAUA TO LAUNCH and BUTTON PUSHER collided resulting in BUTTON PUSHER to race
wide. Approaching the turn into the
back straight PAUA TO LAUNCH and BUTTON PUSHER collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Stewards questioned K Hoggan the trainer of AKKATOR in
respect to the greyhound’s actions where shortly after the start where it
appeared to turn its head in the direction of KULU RUSTY which was drawn to
its inside. After CONSIDERING all
available evidence Stewards were not comfortably satisfied that a charge could
be substantiated and gave AKKATOR the benefit of the grave doubt. |
