Stewards Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound SWITCH BLADE performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.37 and
is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane. |

TYRE REPAIRS MAIDEN 520M MR.
TERRIFIC and PRATER’S PROMISE were best to begin. SHAKEY START was slowly away. Shortly after the start MR. TERRIFIC
shifted in tightening EMBER FLARE.
PHANTOM HENRY was wide in the back straight. Approaching the top turn SHAKEY START and
EMBER FLARE came together causing EMBER FLARE to shift off the heels of
BUTTON PUSHER and lose ground. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD NOVICE 520M ISLA’S OPAL was best to begin. In the front straight FIRED UP AGAIN,
AURIGA RAVEN, DASH OF LUCK and DAHOMEY WINDFIRE were all tight causing AURIGA
RAVEN and DASH OF LUCK to fall and take no further competitive part in the
event and also causing FIRED UP AGAIN and DAHOMEY WINDFIRE to be checked and
lose ground. In the 1st
turn BILLY BEAN and ISLA’S OPAL came together and were unbalanced. Approaching the top turn DAHOMEY WINDFIRE
checked off heels. The greyhound AURIGA RAVEN underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound DASH OF LUCK underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Trainer of COSMIC YESSAM Mr. D Massey was questioned in
regards to comments that he made on track following the running of this
event. Mr. Massey was reminded of his
obligation to conduct himself in a proper manner while on course. |

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE 520M COOL VANE was
best to begin while ONE IN SIX was slowly away. Shortly after the start RENALD’S RIVALRY
was tightened. In the front straight
SKY BOND was tightened. In the 1st
turn PENCIL was tightened and forced to shift out hampering LIGHTNING WHITE
which was following and both greyhounds raced wide through the turn as a
result. SKY BOND shifted wide in the 1st
turn. |

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5th GRADE 520M WILDASH SEMI was best to begin while HOUDINI HI was
slowly away. In the 1st
turn SEIZED ASSET and WILDASH SEMI collided.
Entering the 1st turn HOUDINI HI shifted in off heels,
colliding with GEAR UP ad causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Both greyhounds collided again racing
through the turn. HOUDINI HI and GEAR
UP raced tight and unbalanced entering the back straight and HOUDINI HI lost
ground. SEIZED ASSET and WILDASH SEMI
collided entering the back straight.
ARABELLA and WILDASH SEMI collided in the back straight causing
WILDASH SEMI to lose ground. The greyhound SEIZED ASSET underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound HOUDINI HI underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CURRY MEMORIAL SEMI-FINAL 1 520M RATHER DAPPER was best to begin while VISIGOTH was slowly
away. ISOBELLA’S MAGIC and FRIENDZ
raced tight and unbalanced shortly after the start. Entering the 1st turn PHANTOM
PETE and GALLEON came together causing GALLEON and ISOBELLA’S MAGIC to
collide and as a result ISOBELLA’S MAGIC was forced to shift out and hamper
the running of FRIENDZ, AMBER MARIE and VISIGOTH which were following. In the 1st turn FRIENDZ and
VISIGOTH collided and lost ground.
Entering the top turn VISIGOTH and ISOBELLA’S MAGIC came together and
lost ground. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL SEMI-FINAL 2 520M FIRE TO RAIN was best to begin whilst SMOOTH CLAUDIA and
JALAPENO were slowly away. FIRE TO
RAIN and OPAL NERA raced tight in the front straight. Shortly after the start SMOOTH CLAUDIA and
NO NOT ME were both tightened. NO NOT
ME blundered in the 1st turn.
PRATER’S SAINT was wide entering the home straight. The greyhound NO NOT ME underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

NOVA were slowly away. Shortly after
the start BIKINI CLOUD and MUSTANG NOVA raced tight and unbalanced. In the front straight ENJOY THE SHOW
collided with ROLL SO DEEP and DONNY’S BEACH and all greyhounds became
unbalanced. Approaching the 1st
turn ENJOY THE SHOW tightened CYCLONE BARCI and BIKINI CLOUD, severely
inconveniencing these greyhounds.
MUSTANG NOVA which was following was also hampered. BIKINI CLOUD and MUSTANG NOVA collided in
the 1st turn. The greyhound CYCLONE BARCI underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

VINCE CURRY MEMORIAL SEMI-FINAL 4 520M MATTHEW TERRENCE was best to
begin. Shortly after the start MATTHEW
TERRENCE shifted in abruptly and collided with ICONIC BEACH. Entering the 1st turn ICONIC
BEACH checked off heels and lost ground.
In the 1st turn REGAL CYNDIE checked off heels and lost
ground. In the top turn FABRIQUE and
MATTHEW TERRENCE collided causing MATTHEW TERRENCE to lose ground. |

entering the 1st turn.
Shortly after, PATRONUS, ALEEAH JET, SPILLING SECRETS, PEBBLE BAY and
CIGARS ON ICE all collided and became unbalanced and were checked to varying
degrees. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M GET SHORTY was best to begin and BONKNOCKA PRINCE was
slow to begin. In the 1st
turn BIG SHOW HAWKO, THAT HOUDINI and LORD LACHLAN collided. In the back straight BIG SHOW HAWKO checked
off heels causing interference to BONKNOCKA PRINCE. BONKNOCKA PRINCE and GET SHORTY came
together entering the home straight. |
