Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound SPECTRAILLE performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.88 and
is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane. |

WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN 431M MAD GIRL was best to begin. Shortly after the start LOOSE TABACCO
checked outwards off the heels of MAD GIRL and collided with AURIGA CINDY and
KNOCKA ON FIRE resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. Through the first turn MAD GIRL was
tightened for room and severely checked.
KNOCKA ON FIRE which was trailing made heavy contact with that runner,
was checked and forced wider on the turn as a result. Entering the top turn LOOSE TABACCO was
tightened for room and momentarily hampered.
Over the concluding stages of the event LOOSE TABACCO and CHIEF ROSE
HI bumped on a number of occasions resulting in CHIEF ROSE HI to be hampered. The greyhound MAD GIRL underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M YOU
CALLED and DODGY CREDIT were best to begin with BLAZE ROSE HI slowly
away. Shortly after the start AIR TIME
and ENZO JAZZ collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Approaching the first turn LODGEMENT was
tightened for room and momentarily hampered.
Through the first turn AIR TIME was tightened for room and momentarily
hampered. Rounding the turn into the
back straight YOU CALLED and DODGY CREDIT bumped on a number of occasions
resulting in YOU CALLED to be hampered.
In the back straight SENTRY’S CALL was wide. Entering the top turn AIR TIME was
tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards. SENTRY’S CALL which was racing to its
outside was severely checked and forced wide on the turn as a result. YOU CALLED which was trailing that runner
was hampered as a result. Rounding the
turn into the front straight AIR TIME was tightened for room and
checked. Entering the front straight
YOU CALLED and AIR TIME bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. |

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM MAIDEN 431M ALIMAY
OSTI was best to begin with SPOT ROSE HI and NEVS SHADOW slowly away. Approaching the first turn AURIGA PIXIE was
tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards. SPOT ROSE HI which was racing to that
runner’s outside was checked as a consequence. Through the first turn MAGIC DINGLE and
EMBER FLARE were tightened for room and severely checked. SPOT ROSE HI, NEV’S SHADOW and AURIGA PIXIE
which were trailing were all checked to varying degrees as a
consequence. Entering the back
straight WILDASH DIVA was tightened for room, checked then shifted
outwards. MAGIC DINGLE which was
trailing that runner shifted outwards as a consequence. Entering the top turn WILDASH DIVA and
MAGIC DINGLE bumped resulting in MAGIC DINGLE to be checked. In the front straight MAGIC DINGLE and
EMBER FLARE bumped resulting in MAGIC DINGLE to be momentarily hampered. |

start with the exception of PRATER’S ACE which was marginally slow to
begin. Shortly after the start MAGIC
BENZ and MADIES were tightened for room and checked. Approaching the first turn KILCARNEY MIST
was tightened for room and checked.
MAGIC BENZ which was trailing that runner was checked as a
consequence. Through the first turn
MAGIC BENZ shifted outwards and contacted the hindquarters of PRATER’S ACE
resulting in both runners to be checked.
In the back straight MAGIC BENZ and PENNYLESS were wide. Entering the top turn KILCARNEY MIST was
tightened for room and momentarily hampered.
In the front straight PENNYLESS was wide. The
greyhound MAGIC BENZ underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. G Pettersen that the greyhound would be charged under
Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a
satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 431M ROAD
CAM was best to begin. At that start
FROSY BROWN and INDOMINOUS DANE collided resulting in both greyhounds to
begin awkwardly. Shortly after
INDOMINOUS DANE collided with WATER BOY resulting in that runner to be
checked. Approaching the first turn
WATER BOY checked off heels. Entering
the top turn INDOMINOUS DANE was tightened for room and momentarily
hampered. Rounding the turn into the
front straight INDOMINOUS DANE shifted outwards and collided with WATER BOY
resulting in both runners to be checked. Stewards
questioned trainer Mr. C Graham with regards to the actions of WATER BOY in
the front straight in the run to the finish.
After considering all evidence stewards could not be comfortably
satisfied that they could substantiate a charge against the greyhound and
therefore gave the greyhound the benefit of the doubt. |

SHORT, HEIDI BENZ and AGRO’S THUNDER were best to begin. Approaching the first turn ARE YOU THERE
and LIL’ BIT SPARKY bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Shortly after BENTAXLE was tightened for
room and hampered. In the back
straight ARE YOU THERE was wide.
Entering the top turn FYRE GAL was tightened for room and checked. |

start. Approaching the first turn
HOPEFUL BLUE and LOTS OF TIME collided on a number of occasions and were checked
as a result. Through the first turn
LOVED UP was tightened for room and severely checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight
LOTS OF TIME was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. LOVED UP which was trailing was checked as
a consequence. Shortly after MIRANDA
ROSE HI commenced to give ground from the field and take no further part in
the event. In the back straight
HOPEFUL BLUE was wide. Rounding the turn
into the front straight BOGART BLEND collided with AINIA resulting in that
runner to be checked and shift outwards.
HOPEFUL BLUE which was racing to its outside was checked and shifted
outwards as a consequence. In the
front straight HOPEFUL BLUE was wide. The
greyhound MIRANDA ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and
was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hock and was stood down
for a period of 90 days. |

FINAL 431M THOMAS ROSE HI, MAYWYN’S COPY and WILD
WEST WILLY were slow to begin.
Approaching the first turn MILKY CHANCE was tightened for room and
momentarily hampered. Rounding the
turn into the back straight YOU JANE was tightened for room, checked and
shifted outwards collided with SHAYLOR ANDRE resulting in both runners to be
severely checked. WILD WEST WILLY
which was trailing those runners was severely checked as a result of this
incident. Shortly after YOU JANE was
tightened for room and checked. |

start. At the start CAPTAIN’S KNOCK
and MAYWYN’S YING were tightened for room and checked. Shortly after the start JEN ROSE HI,
SHAYLOR BART and COSMIC LAPTOP were tightened for room and checked. Rounding the turn into the back straight
JEN ROSE HI was tightened for room and hampered. Through the top turn SHAYLOR BART was
tightened for room and hampered.
CAPTAIN’S KNOCK which was trailing that runner was hampered as a
consequence. Rounding the turn into
the front straight JEN ROSE HI bumped on several occasions with MAYWYN’S YING
resulting in that runner to be checked and lose ground. |

ROSE HI, OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and MAKE TODAY COUNT were best to begin with FIRED
UP AGAIN slowly away. Shortly after
the start VELOCITY EBONY shifted inwards and collided heavily with COST A
QUID resulting in that runner to be severely checked, fall and take no
further competitive part in the event.
Rounding the turn into the back straight VELOCITY EBONY was tightened
for room and checked. Entering the
back straight NAOMI ROSE HI was tightened for room and checked. In the back straight MAYWYN IF LUCKY was
wide. In the front straight WILDASH
BAM BAM was wide. The
greyhound COST A QUID underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |
