ARABIAN GO GO, STAR RISE and SUPER SCOOTER were best to begin.  Through the first turn STAR RISE and SUPER SCOOTER bumped resulting in SUPER SCOOTER to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SIMMSY’S NINERON shifted outwards resulting in SPARK YOU UP which was racing to its outside to be hampered.  Through the top turn STAR RISE was tightened for room and hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight NEV’S SHADOW and SPARK YOU UP collided resulting in both runners to be checked.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

KERCHRIS LEE was best to begin.  BONKNOCKA BEANS was slow to begin.  At the start ALIMAY OSTI shifted inwards and collided with CYCLONE BARCI resulting in both runners to be checked.  Rounding the turn into the back straight CYCLONE BARCI, ALIMAY OSTI and LITTLE LUCY were tightened for room resulting in CYCLONE BARCI to be hampered and ALIMAY OSTI and LITTLE LUCY to be severely checked.  Entering the back straight HEARTLAND FLASH shifted outwards resulting in KNOCKA ON FIRE which was racing to its outside to be hampered.  CYCLONE BARCI which was trailing that runner’s heels was hampered as a consequence.  In the back straight CYCLONE BARCI and KNOCKA ON FIRE were wide.  Through the top turn CYCLONE BARCI improved onto the heels of HEARLAND FLASH resulting in both runners to be checked.  Shortly after ALIMARY OSTI checked off heels.  In the home straight HEARTLAND FLASH was wide.

SNOZZSTA was best to begin with RUMBLING JAKE slowly away.  Shortly after the start ME HAPPY and FROSTY BROWN collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  Through the first turn BELVEDERE BABE, TROUBLING TIMES and OLD MATE KICK were all tightened for room resulting in BELVEDERE BABE and OLD MATE KICK to be hampered and TROUBLING TIMES to be checked.  Rounding the turn into the front straight RUMBLING JAKE was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after MADIES was tightened for room and checked.  TROUBLING TIMES which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight FROSTY BROWN was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  In the home straight RUMLBING JAKE was wide.

Even start.  At the start FLYING TWISTER and FIRED UP AGAIN collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  Through the first turn HEARTLAND FLYER and BRASS ROAD were tightened for room and hampered.  FLYING TWISTER which was trailing shifted outwards to avoid those runner’s heels and collided with FIRED UP AGAIN resulting in both runners to be checked.  Entering the back straight HEARTLAND FLYER shifted outwards resulting in BRASS ROAD which was trailing to be checked.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

FABIARNA was best to begin.  Shortly after the start LUCKY CALL bumped FARMOR WISDOM resulting in that runner to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight ROCKABILLY OSTI and RATTLESNAKE CAFE were tightened for room, severely checked and took no further competitive part in the event.  Entering the back straight FARMOR WISDOM gave ground from the field and took no further part in the event.  Approaching the top turn FABIARNA commenced to give ground from the lure and finish behind the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound RATTLESNAKE CAKE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FARMOR WISDOM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

The greyhound FABIARNA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the back and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

The greyhound ROCKABILLY OSTI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

GIFTED ANGEL and RAMBLIN’ ROSE were best to begin with ARABELLA slowly away.  Through the first turn SPRING LAUREN was tightened for room, severely checked and fell taking no further competitive part in the event.  TITLE and RAMBLIN’ ROSE which were trailing that runner were severely checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound SPRING LAUREN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound GIFTED ANGEL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

ALPHA ZEPHYR and MAKE TODAY COUNT were best to begin.  Entering the first turn MAGGIE BENZ and MAYWYN IF LUCKY were tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after HARRY BENZ was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  Through the top turn GUTENBERG and ALPHA ZEPHYR were tightened for room and severely checked.  MAYWYN IF LUCKY which was trailing checked outwards to avoid those runners.

 

The greyhound MAGGIE BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the stomach muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

SPRING AUDREY and SPRING ELLIE were marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn all runners with the exception of CHULU CHULULU were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Over the concluding stages of the event NANTUCKET KAHN was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

HARA’S HUMMER and BONKNOCKA PRINCE were marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn all runners were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees with HOT PYJAMAS and YOU JANE being severely checked and taking no further competitive part in the event.  HARA’S HUMMER made contact with the running rail as a result of this incident.  Rounding the turn into the back straight HARA’S HUMMER bumped the running rail and was hampered as a consequence.  In the back straight TOO MANY BILLS was wide.  Also in the back straight HARA’S HUMMER bumped the running rail and was hampered as a result.

 

The greyhound HARA’S HUMMER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HOT PYJAMAS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound YOU JANE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BOGART BLEND and MAYWYN’S YING were best to begin with FYRE GAL slowly away.  Through the first turn CLASSY BARCY shifted outwards and collided with SHAYLOR CLEDUS resulting in both runners to be checked.  LIL’ BIT SPARKY which was trailing those runners was hampered as a result.  SANDAVE BELLAIRE which was trailing that runner was hampered as a result.  Rounding the turn into the back straight FYRE GAL was tightened for room and hampered.  Entering the top turn SHAYLOR CLEDUS shifted inwards and contacted CLASSY BARCY resulting in both runners to be checked and shift outwards on the turn.  In the home straight
