Stewards Trial 1 – 520m The greyhound ALPHA NEMESIS performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 520m in a time of 31.22.

RACE REPORTS
1.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN 431M NOTHING TO GIVE, I’M PERFECT, ALIMAY OSTI and DODGY CREDIT were best to begin with SECRETIVE INTENT slowly away. Approaching the first turn REGAL BILL contacted the hindquarters of ALIMAY OSTI resulting in both runners to be checked. Through the first turn NOTHING TO GIVE and FOREST DWELLER collided resulting in both runners to be severely checked. BELLA CETTE and SECRETIVE INTENT which were trailing were checked as a consequence. Entering the back straight I’M PERFECT was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. ALIMAY OSTI which was trailing improved onto that runner’s heels resulting in both runners to be checked. Rounding the turn into the front straight NOTHING TO GIVE shifted outwards resulting in FOREST DWELLER which was racing to its outside to be forced wide entering the home straight. Shortly after NOTHING TO GIVE and ALIMAY OSTI bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. In the home straight FOREST DWELLER was wide. The greyhound FOREST DWELLER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

2.	SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL 431M SIMMSY’S NINERON was marginally slow to begin. Entering the first turn SHEZA JEWEL was tightened for room, severely checked, fell and took no further competitive part in the event. SIMMSY’S NINERON which was trailing contacted that runner and was checked as a consequence. Shortly after SPOT ROSE HI, WILDASH DIVA, REGAL TRAV and AURIGA PIXIE were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. Entering the back straight AURIGA PIXIE checked off heels. The greyhound SHEZA JEWEL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

3.	ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5^th GRADE 431M The start of the event was delayed due to hold for a thoroughbred event. KAPPA NU, FROSTY ZERO and GITCHA ROSES were marginally slow to begin. Shortly after the start UP THE HEAT checked inwards across the heels of SPRING DEAL resulting in both runners to be checked. Through the 1^st turn FAMOUS MOLLY, SCORCHING CORNER, SPRING DEAL and UP THE HEAT were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. Rounding the turn into the back straight KAPPA NU was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards. Shortly after DUSTY ROCKS was tightened for room and checked. In the back straight KAPPA NU was wide. Through the top turn DUSTY ROCKS was tightened for room and severely checked. In the front straight KAPPA NU was wide.

4.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE 431M Even start with the exception of COLD NIGHTS and POUNCING LILIE which were marginally slow to begin. Entering the first turn COMANECI improved onto the heels of TIGI BENZ resulting in COMANECI to be hampered. Through the first turn COLD NIGHTS was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards colliding with POUNCING LILIE resulting in that runner to further shift out and collide with COMANECI. All of these runners were checked as a consequence. Entering the back straight AURIGA BINDI was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards resulting in TIGI BENZ which was racing to its outside to be checked.

5.	TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5^th GRADE HEAT 1 520M Even start with the exception of ONE IN SIX and MY SUPER which was slowly away. Approaching the first turn SENTIMENTAL LADY, MY SUPER and LIGHTNING WHITE were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. ONE IN SIX which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Rounding the turn into the back straight ONE IN SIX and MY SUPER bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight FAB DOOLEY bumped CAPTAIN’S KNOCK resulting in that runner to be hampered.

6.	O’REILLY PET FOOD 5^th GRADE HEAT 2 520M Even start with the exception of NAUGHTY NALA which was marginally slow to begin and NOVELLA which was slow to begin. Entering the first turn LORD LACHLAN checked off heels and raced wide around the turn. Shortly after NAUGHTY NALA bumped NOVELLA resulting in that runner to be hampered and shift out wide on the turn as a consequence. Entering the top turn BOGART BLEND was tightened for room and momentarily hampered. Rounding the turn into the front straight NAUGHTY NALA and MO STRADAMUS bumped resulting in MO STRADAMUS to be momentarily hampered. The greyhound MO STRADAMUS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

Shortly after the start CYNO GENERAL and CYNO MIRAGE collided resulting in both runners to be checked. Through the first turn HESPERIDES shifted inwards and tightened the running of CAPTAIN LOUIE resulting in that runner to be checked. CYNO MIRAGE which was trailing checked outwards to avoid that runner’s heels. In the back straight SWIFT NIMROD was wide. Rounding the turn into the front straight CYNO MIRAGE checked off heels. Over the concluding stages of the event CYNO GENERAL and CYNO MIRAGE collided and were checked as a consequence.

8.	C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4^th GRADE 431M WILDASH WILDBOY was best to begin and BURNING OAK was slowly away. In the back and front straights DODGY DANCER was wide.

9.	GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5^th GRADE 431M RAMBLIN’ ROSE and COSMO WAZ were best to begin. Approaching the first turn GUN DANCER, PREMIER BEAR, SPRING BIG IRON, WILDASH BAM BAM and THOMAS ROSE HI were all tightened for room and checked to varying degrees. In the back straight WILDASH BAM BAM was wide. Entering the top turn CHEEKY CHANCE, WILDASH BAM BAM and THOMAS ROSE HI were all tightened for room resulting in CHEEKY CHANCE to be checked and WILDASH BAM BAM and THOMAS ROSE HI severely checked. PREMIER BEAR which was trailing these runners was hampered as a consequence. The greyhound PREMIER BEAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the Achilles tendon and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

10.	WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5^th GRADE 431M MAKE TODAY COUNT, RHONDDA MINER and SPORTFAN were best to begin with FROSTY BROWN slowly away. Rounding the turn into the back straight SPORTFAN was tightened for room and checked. Approaching the top turn LENNY BENZ commenced to give ground and finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. The greyhound LENNY BENZ underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip support and was stood down for a period of 28 days.
