1.

GALWAY BLUEBIRD, ELUSIVE WATCH and KNOCKA ON FIRE were slow to begin.  KNOCKA ON FIRE checked off heels shortly after the start while MACFARLANE and ROSDUE AVALON collided.  Leaving the 1st turn MACFARLANE was tightened and lost ground.  In the home straight ARABIAN GO GO was hampered.

 

The greyhound ELUSIVE WATCH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

2.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

DUE CREDIT and LIL MISS PINKY were best to begin.  Shortly after the start DEVIL DOME and INDOMINOUS REX collided.  In the 1st turn SHEZA SHOCKER was hampered.  LIL MISS PINKY was wide in the back and home straight.  In the top turn INDOMINOUS REX appeared to sustain an injury and took no further part in the event.

 

The greyhound INDOMINOUS REX underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side tibia and was humanely euthanized.

 

Stewards questioned the trainer of AIR TIME Mr. D. Turley on the greyhound’s improved performance in this event.  Mr. Turley stated that the greyhound had performed well on Tuesday at Lismore running up to a similar standard and was only beaten by a very small margin.  Mr. Turley was confident that the greyhound would perform in a similar manner going forward.

BONKNOCKA BEANS was very slow to begin.  Shortly after the start DAB LIVY DAB was checked.  In the 1st turn ROSDUE JITTERBUG, ENZO JAZZ and ARABIAN GO DANI all collided and were unbalanced.  BLACK KOALA and DAB LIVY DAB which were racing in proximity were inconvenienced as a result.  Entering the back straight ARABIAN GO DANI and DAB LIVY DAB collided.  DAB LIVY DAB was wide in the top turn.

AVOID DAMAGE and SURF CATCHER were slow to begin while BINALONG ROAD began awkwardly and lost ground.  Shortly after the start GALVO and SNOW GIRL collided and became unbalanced.  In the 1st turn SNOW GIRL was hampered as GALVO shifted out.  Shortly after, BINALONG ROAD checked off heels and collided with SURF CATCHER causing this greyhound to lose significant ground.

 

The greyhound SURF CATCHER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side calf muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE NOVICE 431M

SNOZZSTA was best to begin.  HEARTLAND FLYER, SUPER SCOOTER, FLYING TWISTER and SWIFT DUAL were marginally slow to begin.  SUPER SCOOTER and FLYING TWISTER collided in the 1st turn.  WILDASH ABBY was hampered shortly after.  Entering the back straight SWIFT DUAL checked off heels.  Shortly after, FLYING TWISTER and WILDASH ABBY collided.  Entering the top turn SWIFT DUAL and SUPER SCOOTER were hampered.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE FINAL 431M

RAMBLIN’ ROSE was best to begin while BONKNOCKA PRINCE was slowly away.  In the 1st turn PENTADOG, THIS TIME MARY and SHAYLOR ANDRE were checked forcing THIS TIME MARY to lose significant ground.  LUCKY CALL which was following was hampered.  TOO MANY BILLS and RAMBLIN’ ROSE were wide in the back straight.  BONKNOCKA PRINCE was checked in the top turn.

 

The greyhound THIS TIME MARY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

HOLYWOOD ROSE HI, THUNDER CLAP and COOPOLLY BEACH were marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn JAHIMIA, PRINCESS EMALYS and SPRING HOUDINI collided and were unbalanced.  Shortly after, JAHIMIA was tightened and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn THUNDER CLAP was tightened and lost ground.  In the top turn HOLYWOOD ROSE HI checked off heels and PRINCESS EMALYS which was following was hampered.  Shortly after, COOPOLLY BEACH and ZODIAC SANDY collided causing ZODIAC SANDY to lose ground.

 

The greyhound JAHIMIA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GJ WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start COSMIC REVENGE, DROP SHORT and ROSDUE BLUE GUM collided causing DROP SHORT to lose ground.  In the 1st turn COSMIC REVENGE and SAMANTHA BENZ checked off heels and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn BURNING OAK and THOMAS ROSE HI collided causing THOMAS ROSE HI to lose ground.  SAMANTHA BENZ which was following was inconvenienced.  ROSDUE BLUE GUM and BURNING OAK collided in the top turn.

 

The greyhound COSMIC REVENGE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

TRY COMB, WILDASH BAM BAM and KLOEIS PRIDE were best to begin.  BENTAXLE, MAYWYN’S YING and OUTBACK SUNSHINE collided in the 1st turn and all greyhounds lost ground as a result.  Approaching the top turn MAYWYN IF LUCKY was tightened as BENTAXLE shifted out causing this greyhound to lose ground and OUTBACK SUNSHINE which was following was hampered.  Entering the home straight MAYWYN’S YING and OUTBACK SUNSHINE collided heavily.

 

The greyhound OUTBACK SUNSHINE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CHEEKY FREYER and LIL’ BIT SPARKY were slow to begin.  In the 1st turn COST A QUID checked off heels and lost ground.  Entering the back straight GLOBAL DEEJAY and TECHNO LADY collided.  COST A QUID was wide in the back straight.  In the home straight MR. TRANSPORTER turned its head outwards towards CHEEKY FREYER failed to pursue.  Approaching the top turn TECHNO LADY was tightened and lost ground.

 

The greyhound TECHNO LADY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

The greyhound MR. TRANSPORTER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 10 days.  Stewards advised trainer Ms. D. Huddleston that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 2nd offence 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.
