Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound FROSTY FLYER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.53 and is now cleared all tracks.

Even start with the exception of BLAZIN’ CRUSHER and CELS EXPRESS which were both slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn WALLOON MISS, SIMMSY’S NINEON, DAD’S THE WORD and RICHMOND ROAD were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BLAZIN’ CRUSHER and CELS EXPRESS which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SIMMSY’S NINERON was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight WALLOON MISS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight BLAZIN’ CRUSHER was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with WALLOON MISS resulting in BLAZIN’ CRUSHER to fall and take no further competitive part in the race.  WALLOON MISS was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this incident.

 

The greyhound WALLOON MIS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound BLAZIN’ CRUSHER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound JOJO BELLE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start all greyhounds with the exception of MASKED ZORRO raced tight and were checked to varying degrees.  Through the 1st turn HOT, BLUE LEMONADE, VEGAS BOY, ROAD SCHOLAR and ASICIAO were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Entering the back straight HOT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  VEGAS BOY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.

 

The greyhound VEGAS BOY underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound HOT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE 431M

ME HAPPY was best to begin.  ZIVA’S LASS, JAYCEE’S LADY and SENTRY’S CALL were all slow to begin.  Shortly after the start, CLOVER KNOX was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn ZIVA’S LASS and JAYCEE’S LADY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SENTRY’S CALL improved onto the heels of LUCITA resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.

Even start.  Through the 1st turn FOREST DWELLER was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with FONIC THUNDER resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the front straight MAGIC DINGLE and HURUNUI ALYSSA collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.

5.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5th GRADE 431M

FLYING PRINCESS, DARK SMIFFY and OLD MATE KICK were best to begin.  SPRING DORRIE was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start DARK SMIFFY and OLD MATE KICK collided which resulted in DARK SMIFFY to be checked, shift in and collide with ORANGE THUNDER, which resulted in ORANGE THUNDER shifting in and colliding with SAMANTHA BENZ, all greyhounds lost ground as a result of this incident.  Approaching the turn into the back straight SPRING DORRIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  FLYING PRINCESS commenced to give ground leaving the back straight.

 

The greyhound FLYING PRINCESS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Even start with the exception of LUCKY CALL, which was marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start MAYWYN’S YING, SPRING SHELLEY and KOORINGA BUD were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn HO CHOI, SPRING LAUREN, RED STEEL and SPRING SHELLEY were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight HO CHOI and MAYWYN’S YING collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Leaving the back straight GALA SHOW was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

WHO DAT GUN and BURNING OAK were best to begin.  Through the 1st turn ZABDON CHEVY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  SPRING MYSTERY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Leaving the back straight SPRING ELLIE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ZABDON CHEVY which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence.  Approaching the turn into the front straight WHO DAT GUN was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5th GRADE 520M

PRATER’S PROMISE was best to begin.  AURIGA BINDI was slow to begin.  Shortly after the start ZABDON LAMBO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight PUNH RIGHT OUT was tightened for racing room and was momentarily hampered.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M

CHOC LATTE CLOUD and KYLE THE TANK were best to begin.  FARMOR WISDOM was slow to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight FARMOR WISDOM commenced to give ground and retired from the race.  Entering the back straight ROSDUE SPRITE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after SCAR’S BROTHER was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound FARMOR PRINCESS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr D Turley that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days + satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks

SHE’S ALL BLONDE and SHAYLOR CLEDUS were best to begin.  Shortly after the start FIREFLY JAMES and COST A QUID collided.  Through the 1st turn NOT THE ONE and MOORE REVENGE collided.  Approaching the turn into the front straight HYDROGEN and FIREFLY JAMES collided.  Rounding the turn into the front straight NOT THE ONE raced wide.  COST A QUID raced wide over various stages of the race.
