Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound STALKING MOON performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of431m in a time of 25.50.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

STAR RISE was best to begin with VEGAS BOY slow.  Shortly after the start ROSDUE AVALON and KALANI KARL bumped.  At the same time ME MATE MOUSE and FROSTY BLACK JAY bumped and all were hampered.  In the 1st turn ROSDUE AVALON, KALANI KARL, VIKING VIXEN and ME MATE MOUSE all collided resulting in KALANI KARL and VIKING VIXEN to lose ground.  Entering the turn into the back straight VEGAS BOY clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight FROSTY BLACK JAY shifted out colliding with DRUID PRINCE resulting in DRUID PRINCE to lose ground.  In the back straight VEGAS BOY and FROSTY BLACK JAY ran wide.  In the top turn VEGAS BOY shifted out and stumbled resulting in this greyhound to be hampered.  In the front straight VIKING VIXEN clipped heels and lost ground.

SKY RACING NOVICE 431M

Even start with BONKNOCKA BEANS slow.  Shortly after the start DUSTY’S DESTINY, SNOW GIRL and KINDA HOT collided resulting in DUSTY’S DESTINY and SNOW GIRL to lose ground.  In the 1st turn CYNO STEIN, DUSTY’S DESTINY and KINDA HOT collided with all greyhounds to lose ground.  SNOW GIRL and MISTER DEBONAIR, which were trailing, checked as a result and lost ground.  Entering the turn into the back straight DUSTY’S DESTINY, SNOW GIRL and MISTER DEBONAIR collided resulting in SNOW GIRL and MISTER DEBONAIR to lose ground.  In the back straight SNOW GIRL collided with the running rail and lost ground.  In the top turn PERFECT LADY was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Leaving the top turn SPRING DOLLY and DUSTY’S DESTINY collided resulting in SPRING DOLLY to lose ground.  At the same time SNOW GIRL and MISTER DEBONAIR bumped.  Entering the turn into the home straight MISTER DEBONAIR clipped heels shifted out and lost ground.  In the home straight SNOW GIRL and MISTER DEBONAIR ran wide.

 

The greyhound SNOW GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

BOGART BLEND was best to begin with HEARLAND FLYER and COSMIC DENLYN slow.  Shortly after the start COSMIC DENLYN and HEARTLAND FLYER and both greyhounds were hampered.  In the 1st turn SPRIND HOUDINI, HARRY BENZ and NINA ROSE HI collided resulting in HARRY BENZ and NINA ROSE HI to lose ground.  COSMIC DENLYN, which was trailing was checked, shifted out and lost ground.  Entering the turn into the back straight COSMIC DENLYN collided with HEARTLAND FLYER resulting in HEARTLAND FLYER to shift out and lose ground.  At the same time HARRY BENZ and NINA ROSE HI collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight PAN YOKO and SPRING HOUDINI bumped on numerous occasions resulting in both to be hampered.  In the top turn PAN YOKO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  In the concluding stages BOGART BLEND clipped heels and was hampered.

 

The greyhound HEARTLAND FLYER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards questioned trainer Mr. N Evans and he said that HEARTLAND FLYER isn’t suited to an outside box and prefers the inside.

BAZINGA BENZ and MILKY CHANCE were best to begin with HARA’S HOOK slow.  Shortly after the start HARA’S HOOK, BENTAXLE and LITE ME UP all collided resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  In the 1st turn MILKY CHANCE, LONG JOHN SILVER, SAMANTHA BENZ and REPTAR all collided resulting in LONG JOHN SILVER to be severely checked and lose significant ground.  All other greyhounds were hampered.  LITE ME UP which was trailing was checked and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight REPTAR and MILKY CHANCE collided resulting in REPTAR to lose ground and MILKY CHANCE to be hampered.  In the top turn MILKY CHANCE and HARA’S HOOK collided and both greyhounds were hampered.  Rounding the turn into the home straight HARA’S HOOK and MILKY CHANCE collided resulting in MILKY CHANCE to lose ground.  In the back straight LITE ME UP and BENTAXLE bumped on numerous occasions and both greyhound were hampered.

 

The greyhound LONG JOHN SILVER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

ON THE WALL was best to begin with SPRING SHELLEY and ROSDUE GOANNA slow.  Shortly after the start ON THE WALL and VICKI’S CHOICE bumped. At the same time ODESSA, THOMAS ROSE HI, SPRING SHELLEY and JANE’S JEZABEL collided resulting in SPRING SHELLEY and THOMAS ROSE HI to lose ground.  In the 1st turn all greyhounds except ROSDUE GOANNA and SPRING SHELLEY collided resulting in THOMAS ROSE HI to lose ground and all other greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight ODESSA shifted out colliding with SPRING SHELLEY resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  THOMAS ROSE HI which was trailing was checked and lost ground.  At the same time JANE’S JEZABEL and VICKI’S CHOICE bumped.  In the back straight ODESSA and THOMAS ROSE HI bumped.  Into the top turn VICKI’S CHOICE and JANE’S JEZABEL collided resulting in VICKI’S CHOICE to lose ground.

 

The greyhound VICKI’S CHOICE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr Max Hay who said that he did not support the greyhound and this was the first time the greyhound had race this distance. Stewards accepted mr hay explanation.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 3/4th GRADE 431M

Even start with CHEEKY CHEECH best to begin.  Shortly after the start HOOP DREAMS clipped off heels and was hampered.  At the same time MAYWYN PETTYCASH and SHAYLOR ANDRE bumped and both greyhounds were hampered.  Into the 1st turn GOTCHA CHA CHA and WIGGLE collided resulting in WIGGLE to lose ground.  MAYWYN’S COPY which was trailing lost ground.  WIGGLE was checked and lost ground.  At the same time CHEEKY CHEECH and SPRING AUDREY collided and both greyhounds were hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight MAYWYN PETTYCASH clipped the heels of CHEEKY CHEECH resulting in CHEEKY CHEECH to lose ground.  GOTCHA CHA CHA which was trailing was checked and hampered.  At the same time MAYWYN’S COPY got onto the heels of WIGGLE resulting in WIGGLE to be hampered.  In the back straight GOTCHA CHA CHA and MAYWYN’S COPY ran wide.  Entering the turn into the home straight MAYWYN’S COPY clipped heels shifted out and lost ground.  In the home straight CHEEKY CHEECH and MAYWYN’S COPY ??????

 

The greyhound CHEEKY CHEECH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards talked to the trainer Ms F Guymer and Ms Guymer said that CHEEKY CHEECH wasn’t suited to the box and likes the outside of the track and had significant interference during the race.

 

The greyhound WIGGLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ACE was best to begin with SCAR’S BROTHER slow.  Shortly after the start ARE YOU THERE clipped heels and lost ground.  In the 1st turn ABELE, GUTENBERG and NUMBER TEN all bumped resulting in NUMBER TEN to be hampered.  Near the back straight ABELE and SCAR’S BROTHER collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  GUTENBERG which was trailing was checked and lost ground.  Approaching the top turn ABELE was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  At the top turn GUTENBERG shifted in checking SCAR’S BROTHER resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the top turn NUMBER TEN and CALL ME AUSSIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the top turn GUTENBERG collided with ROSDUE SPRITE, CALL ME AUSSIE and NUMBER TEN resulting in CALL ME AUSSIE and GUTENBERG to lose ground with the other greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the home straight GUTENBERG got onto the hindquarters of NUMBER TEN resulting in NUMBER TEN to lose ground.

 

The greyhound NUMBER TEN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards question trainer Mr Merv Page who said that the greyhound had been trailing well but had received a significant about of interference in the race.

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start SPANISH HARBOUR shifted in colliding with DIAMOND ROBYNE and DROP SHORT resulting in DIAMOND ROBYNE to lose ground and DROP SHOT to be hampered.  At the same time MR. REALITY and NAUGHTY NALA bumped.  Entering the top turn DIAMOND ROBYNE shifted out colliding with ASTIN’S WARRIOR and HARA’S SAM resulting in DIAMOND ROBYNE to lose ground.  In the back straight HARA’S SAM and ASTIN’S WARRIOR both ran wide.  In the home straight ASTIN’S WARRIOR and HARA’S SAM ran wide.

 

The greyhound LITTLE FONZIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards talked to trainer Mr. M Boody and he said to the stewards that he did not support the greyhound and it’s the 1st time he’s been over the 520m and the greyhound has only been running over the 395m and he was happy with the performance of the greyhound tonight.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 4 431M

Shortly after the start STAR BILLING and BLUE DOT bumped.  In the 1st turn GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for running room and lost ground.  At the same time BOOM WARRIOR shifted out colliding with SPRING NAKANO and STAR BILLING resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  At the same time ONE IN SIX clipped the heels of STAR BILLING resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  At the top turn BLUE DOT and GIFTED ANGEL bumped resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the home straight BLUE DOT shifted out, collided and turned its head outwards to BOOM WARRIOR but didn’t make muzzle contact, resulting in both greyhounds to loose ground.

 

The greyhound BLUE DOT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. P O’Neill that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards trial 431m all tracks.

Even start with HARBOUR DRIVE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start HARBOUR DRIVE and BUNDY CUTTER collided resulting in BUNDY CUTTER to lose ground.  In the 1st turn LUCKMAN, BUNDY CUTTER, HARBOUR DRIVE an HOLY KNOCKS all collided resulting in HARBOUR DRIVE and TARA MARRIE to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the back straight HOLLY KNOCKS, ME HAPPY and SPRING POLLY collided resulting in SPRING POLLY and ME HAPPY to lose ground.  At the same time BUNDY CUTTER and LUCKMAN bumped.  Entering the home turn HARBOUR DRIVE clipped the heels and lost ground.  In the concluding stages HARBOUR DRIVE and ME HAPPY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  At the same time HOLLY KNOCKS and SPRING POLLY both bumped.
