TRIALS |
Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound BAD DAN FRANKIE performed a
satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.54. The greyhound LION’S BLUE performed a
satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.07. The greyhound SHAKEY BENZ performed a
satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 26.26 and
is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound KINLOCH BEACH performed a
satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.32 |

MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M Even
start with GALWAY BLUEBIRD and TOPAZ TAN slow to begin. In the 1st turn WILL TO WIN was
tightened for racing room and lost ground.
SPRING LOYAL which was trailing was checked and lost ground. In the back straight INOUNO ran wide. In the top turn SPRING LOYAL clipped heels
and was hampered. Leaving the top turn
POLLY’S MAID clipped heels and lost ground.
Leaving the turn into the home straight WILL TO WIN turned its head
outwards making muzzle contact with MAYWYN REWARDS resulting in both
greyhounds to be hampered. In the home
straight MAYWYN REWARDS and WILL TO WIN checked on numerous occasions with
SPRING LOYAL and POLLY’S MAID bumping. The
greyhound WILL TO WIN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. C Curtis that the greyhound would be charged under Rule
69 Marring, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’
trial 431m all tracks. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT
2 431M SAIL SURFER was best to begin with SHEZA JEWEL and DESERT
CHILD slow. In the 1st turn
CASEY WHISPER, DAZE LIKE THESE, SAIL SURFER, GALWAY HYPERACT and WINGMAN
HUTCH all collided resulting in GALWAY HYPERACT and WINGMAN HUTCH to both
lose significant ground. SURFBOARD
which was trailing was hampered. In
the back straight SHEZA JEWEL and DESERT CHILD ran wide. In the top turn SURFBOARD and WINGMAN HUTCH
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. Entering the turn into the home straight
SAIL SURFER clipped heels and DAZE LIKE THIS which was trailing was checked
and both greyhounds were hampered.
Rounding the turn into the home straight SAIL SURFER and WINGMAN HUTCH
collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. The greyhound WINGMAN HUTCH underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN HEAT 3 431M ALFONSO was
best to begin with MAYWYNS NOISE and ASSESS slow. Shortly after the start MAYWYNS NOISE and
KEALOAH were tightened for racing room and both greyhounds hampered. In the 1st turn WAY TO WITCHES
colliding with the running rail. At
the same time ALFONSO, WHITE EAGLE, BONDI GIRL and ASSESS collided resulting
in ASSESS and WHITE EAGLE to lose ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight ALFONSO and WHITE EAGLE
collided with ASSESS trailing resulting in all greyhounds to lose
ground. Over the concluding stages
MAYWYNS NOISE turned its head inwards but did not make muzzle contact. The greyhound
WAY TO WITCHES underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound

trainer Mr. R Essex that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 (A)

SPRING BENNY slow. Shortly after the
start GALWAY EAGLE clipped heels and was hampered. In the 1st turn NORIE CHERIE and
SPRING BENNY collided. At the same
time STAR RISE and POCKET BENZ collided resulting in all greyhounds to lose
ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight NOIRE CHERIE, SPRING BENNY and SHAKEY START collided resulting
in all greyhounds to lose ground.
Entering the back straight POCKET BENZ was tightened for racing room
and lost ground. Entering the top turn
GALWAY EAGLE and SPRING BENNY collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose

TREMBATH
TYRE REPAIRS 5th GRADE 431M GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin with POUNCING LILIE slow.
Shortly after the start POUNCING LILIE and SPRING DORRIE were tightened for
racing room and lost ground. In the 1st turn POUNCING LILIE and
SPRING DORRIE bumped and both hampered. The greyhound POUNCING LILIE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards
questioned license trainer Mr Tony Zammit about the
performance of the greyhound, which he stated that the greyhound had put on
weight and this was it first start back from an injury. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M PRATER’S PROMISE was best to begin with AZTEC FLASH slow.
Entering the 1st turn FLYING TWISTER got on to the hind quarters
of CYCLONE BARCI resulting in CYCLONE BARCI to fall and lose ground, with
FLYING TWISTER shifting out and colliding with HAPPY GLEN both lost ground.
Entering the back straight BIG BAD BOB got on to the hind legs of PRATER’S
PROMISE, with both greyhounds losing ground. Entering the top turn PRATER’S
PROMISE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into
the home straight PRATER’S and SHUNT MAN bumped and were hampered. The greyhound CYCLONE BARCI underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M Was an even start. Shortly after the start UNIQUE KALEESI
was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Entering the 1st
turn FERAL LAD and ABBY NORMAL bumped, at the same time DUSTY WAY and ASTIN’S
WARRIOR collided and ASTIN’S WARRIOR lost ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight FERAL LAD and UNIQUE KALEESI bumped. Leaving the top turn
UNIQUE KALEESI and ASTIN’S WARRIOR bumped and both hampered. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4th GRADE 431M THIS TIME MADDIE and SPRING LAUREN
were best to begin with OLD MATE KICK slow. In the top turn SPRING LAUREN
shifted in collided with REIYN CHAAI and THROTTLE ON, TITLE which was
trailing was checked and all greyhounds lost ground. In the back straight
SPRING LAUREN ran wide. In the front straight OLD MATE KICK and ON THE WALL
bumped. |

SURGEON 4/5th GRADE 431M CASEY MINI ME and ROAD CAM were best to begin with BANG
ON TARGET slow. Shortly after the start ROAD CAM and AUGUST FLAME were
tightened for racing room and lost ground, HARRY BENZ and SPRING ERNIE which were trailing were checked as a
result and both lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight BANG ON
TARGET clipped heels and lost ground. In the top turn MAKE TODAY COUNT
clipped heels and lost ground. Entering the turn into the home straight
AUGUST FLAME clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground. The greyhound AUGUST FLAME underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SPRING ERNIE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffering dehydration and was
stood down for a period of 21 days. |

5th GRADE 431M SPRING NAKANO and RUM RUNNER were best to begin and HO
CHOI was slow. In the 1st turn ZAFONIC FORCE clipped heels and was
hampered, at the same time BONKNOCKA BEANS and NOT ANOTHA GINGA collided and
NOT ANOTHA GINGA lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
ZAFONIC FORCE was tightened for racing room and hampered. In the back
straight RAMBLIN’ ROSE and ZAFONIC FORCE collided resulting in RAMBLIN’ ROSE
to lose ground at the same time RUM RUNNER ran wide. In the top turn SPRING
NAKANO was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Leaving the turn in to
the front straight SPRING NAKANO clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground. The greyhound NOT ANOTHA GINGA underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |
