Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound
BELVEDERE BABE failed a stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m. This
greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. The greyhound AGRO’S
THUNDER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 4631m
in a time 25.35 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until after 5
June 2017. |

MAIDEN 431M MAYWYN
PROMISES was best to begin. Shortly
after the start GALWAY KITE, VALERIE MERLE, DESERT CHILD and GALWAY BLUEBIRD
all bumped and were unbalanced. In the
1st turn HESA REBEL was tightened and ELSIE LANE which was
following was inconvenienced. Approaching
the top turn HESA REBEL and CATCH ME KEITH collided causing HESA REBEL to
lose ground. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M FABRIQUE, BON KNOCKA and FROSTY BEJAY were best to
begin. VEGAS BOY began awkwardly. Approaching the 1st turn
SIMMSY’S NINERON and MARETTO were tightened with PHANTOM PETE that was
following, hampered. Leaving the 1st
turn VEGAS BOY, MARETTO and PHANTOM PETE collided and were unbalanced. Entering the top turn SIMMSY’S NINERON
checked off heels. |

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M STALKING MOON
was slow to begin. In the 1st
turn KAAN PAKMAK and KINDA HOT collided.
Shortly after, KAAN PAKMAK, BRIGHT SATELLITE and ZHICHAO LEE collided
causing BRIGHT SATELLITE to lose ground and SATAN’S GIFT and KINDA HOT that
were following were hampered. Entering
the back straight KINDA HOT and SATAN’S GIFT were hampered as ZHICHAO LEE
shifted out. The greyhound
ZHICHAO LEE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

NOVICE 520M CELS EXPRESS was slow to begin. In the front straight FI FI RUMBLE and
MASKED ZORRO raced tight and unbalanced.
Approaching the 1st turn PHANTOM HENRY, FI FI RUMBLE and
MASKED ZORRO were all tightened and FI FI RUMBLE and MASKED ZORRO lost
ground. In the back straight THUNDER
OF FIRE checked off heels and became unbalanced, losing ground. Entering the top turn SHAKEY START checked
off heels. |

PET FOOD 5th GRADE 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start WALLON SMARTIE, MJOLINER and MADAM LOOPSY
collided. In the 1st turn
general tightening resulting in interference to all runners excluding WEE
REMI and MADAM LOOPSY and as a result MJOLINER and WALLOON SMARTIE lost
ground. Leaving the 1st
turn FAB HARRIET checked off heels and collided with LIGHTNING WHITE and then
proceeded to lose ground. In the back
straight LIGHTNING WHITE and WALLOON SMARTIE collided. Entering the top turn LIGHTNING WHITE was
hampered on the heels of OPTIMYSTIC.
Entering the home straight WEE REMI and MADAM LOOPSY collided and were
unbalanced. |

4/5th GRADE 431M SENOR’S SON and DODGY DANCER were best to begin while
NAMROD was slow. In the 1st
turn MILLION DOLLAR and NAMROD collided and became unbalanced and as a result
PEBBLE BAY, MAYWYN PETTYCASH and COLD HARD TRUTH were also
inconvenienced. Shortly after, MILLION
DOLLAR was tightened between PEBBLE BAY and TOO MANY BILLS and lost ground
with TOO MANY BILLS also inconvenienced.
DODGY DANCER and MAYWYN PETTYCASH were wide in the home straight. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M Even start. After
the start HONEY HORNET and CAPREGAS collided.
Shortly after the start MINNIE MARTINI shifted in tightening EDGE OF
FOREVER, HONEY HORNET and SIZEABLE.
Leaving the 1st turn LIGHTNING LARICO and SIZEABLE collided
causing LIGHTNING LARICO to lose ground and EDGE OF FOREVER that was
following improved onto the heels of this greyhound and both lost significant
ground. HONEY HORNET that was
following was inconvenience as a result of this incident. |

GRADE HEAT 2 520M OH GOLLY GOSH and SCIPIO AFRICANUS
were best to begin while PORT LISA was slowly away. Shortly after the start PORT LISA shifted
in abruptly. In the front straight
BINERAY BOY and ROMAN ARMOUR were tightened and lost ground. In the 1st turn BINERAY BOY and
PEPPER BEACH raced tight and unbalanced causing PEPPER BEACH to lose ground
and ROMAN ARMOUR which was following to be inconvenienced. The greyhound PEPPER BEACH underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

Shortly after the start WATCH OUT RENALD was hampered. In the front straight JACOBY RAIDER checked
off heels and collided with WATCH OUT RENALD causing this greyhound to lose
ground. JACOBY RAIDER continued to
shift out and collided with AZTEC FLASH and both greyhounds were
unbalanced. Entering the 1st
turn PRECIOUS TO ME checked off heels causing FAB DOOLEY to clip the heels of
this greyhound, and both were unbalanced. |

TODAY COUNT and AUGUST FLAME were tightened.
In the 1st turn TORPEDO MAN, ONE DOLLAR and REIYN CHAAI
collided and were unbalanced. Entering
the top turn WITHCOTT FLYER was checked. |
