Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound JUST LIKE YAZZA performed a satisfactory stewards’ and weight trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.89 and is now cleared all tracks.

 

The greyhound TURBO BURN performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.71 and is now cleared all tracks.

SLICE OF CAKE, HAY MISS KNOCKA and WAYCOL BILL were marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn DAZE LIKE THESE was tightened for room and checked.  WAYCOL BILL which was trailing was severely checked and shifted out wide on the turn as a consequence.  Entering the back straight MONLEE and SPOT ROSE HI bumped resulting in both runners to be hampered.  DAZE LIKE THESE which was trailing checked outwards to avoid those runners heels.  Entering the turn out of the back straight WAYCOL BILL was tightened for room and hampered.  MONLEE which was racing to its inside was severely checked and lost ground as a consequence.  In the front straight ALFONSO was wide.  In the back straight DAZE LIKE THESE was wide.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

JEAN GENIE and JIGGER BULGARIS were slow to begin.  Approaching the first turn LION’S BLUE shifted outwards abruptly resulting in SPRING COMMAND, LAZZA MANAZZA and SIGHTZ which were racing to its outside to all be checked to varying degrees as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the back straight JIGGER BULGARIS contacted the heels of SIGHTZ resulting in both runners to shift outwards and lose ground.  In the back straight SIGHTZ was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight JEAN GENIE and LAZZA MANAZZA collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  SPRING COMMAND which was trailing was checked and forced out wide entering the turn as a consequence.  In the front straight SPRING COMMAND was wide.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M

SPRING LOYAL was marginally slow to begin.  At the start DESERT CHILD was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the first turn SRRING LOYAL and DESERT CHILD collided resulting in both runners to be checked.  Through the first turn SHEZA JEWEL was tightened for room and checked.  CASEY WHISPER which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  At the same time MAYWYN REWARDS was tightened for room, checked and shifted outwards resulting in BONDI GIRL which was racing to its outside to be severely checked and lose ground.  MAYWYN REWARDS continued outwards and collided with WAY TO WITCHES resulting in both runners to be checked.  Entering the back straight BONDI GIRL was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the turn into the front straight DESERT CHILD was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn into the front straight BONDI GIRL checked off heels.  In the front straight SHEZA JEWEL was wide.

STAR RISE was best to begin with PIPELINE PIP slowly away.  Approaching the first turn PIPELINE PIP was tightened for room and momentarily hampered.  ROXANNE BENZ which was racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the back straight STAR RISE was tightened for room and checked.  Entering the back straight SPRING DOLLY checked off heels and contacted the hindquarters of ROXANNE BENZ resulting in ROXANNE BENZ to be hampered and SPRING DOLLY to be checked and lose ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight NINPIN and ROXANNE BENZ bumped resulting in ROXANNE BENZ to be momentarily hampered.  Shortly after SPRING DOLLY shifted inwards and made contact with the running rail and lost ground as a consequence.

 

The greyhound SPRING DOLLY underwent a post-race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

ROAD CAM was best to begin.  Shortly after the start BINALONG ROAD was tightened for room and checked.  Through the first turn GOLD RAINS, SPRING NAKANO and STAR BILLING were tightened for room and checked to varying degrees.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SPRING NAKANO shifted outwards which resulted in STAR BILLING which was trailing to be hampered.  In the back straight SPRING NAKANO, ME HAPPY and SPRING ERNIE were wide.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight ME HAPPY improved onto the heels of WAIKARIE NOEL resulting in both runners to be hampered.

GUTENBERG was best to begin.  Shortly after the start THOMAS ROSE HI and BAZINGA BENZ were tightened for room and checked.  In the back straight BAZINGA BENZ was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight THOMAS ROSE HI was tightened for room and checked.  Shortly after BAZINGA BENZ improved onto the heels of THOMAS ROSE HI resulting in BAZINGA BENZ to be checked.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight CASEY MINI ME was tightened for room and checked.

VISIGOTH, FARAHMAC and BLAZE ROSE HI were slow to begin.  At the start THURSDAY WISH blundered and lost ground.  Shortly after the start VISIGOTH was tightened for room and checked.  In the front straight on the first occasion LITTLE LUCY was tightened for room and hampered.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight VISIGOTH and THURSDAY WISH collided resulting in THURSDAY WISH to be severely checked and lose ground.  Shortly after LITTLE LUCY collided with VISIGOTH resulting in both runners to be checked.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight RAGNAR LOTHBROK and FARAHMAC collided resulting in FARAHMAC to be checked.  BLAZE ROSE HI which was racing to its outside was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the back straight LITTLE LUCY checked off the heels of VISIGOTH resulting in VISIGOTH to be hampered and LITTLE LUCY to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the turn out of the back straight VISIGOTH and FARAHMAC collided resulting in both runners to be checked and lose ground.  LITTLE LUCY which was trailing was checked as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the front straight THURSDAY WISH contacted the hindquarters of FARAHMAC resulting in both runners to be hampered.

 

The greyhound THURSDAY WISH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

C2C CONSTRUCTONS 5th GRADE FINAL 520M

ABBY NORMAL was best to begin.  BIG BAD BOB, DUSTY WAY and FLYING TWISTER were slow to begin.  Approaching the turn out of the front straight BIG BAD BOB bumped FLYING TWISTER which resulted in that runner to be checked and shift outwards and in turn make contact with the hindquarters of DUSTY WAY.  DUSTY WAY and FLYING TWISTER lost ground as a result of this incident.  Through the turn out of the front straight COOKIE NO CREAM shifted inwards and tightened the running of ABBY NORMAL, PRATER’S PROMISE and COOL VANE resulting in COOKIE NO CREAM to be hampered, COOL VANE to be checked and ABBY NORMAL and PRATER’S PROMISE to be severely checked, fall and take no further competitive part in the event.  FLYING TWISTER which was trailing those runners was hampered as a consequence.  Rounding the turn into the front straight FLYING TWISTER checked across the heels of DUSTY WAY resulting in both runners to lose ground.

 

The greyhound ABBY NORMAL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound PRATER’S PROMISE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The start of the event was delayed due to an interstate harness race.

 

SECOND GEAR and SNOZZSTA were best to begin.  Entering the first turn RUM RUNNER was tightened for room and hampered.  POWER OF PENNY which was trailing improved onto that runner’s heels and was checked as a consequence.  Shortly after POWER OF PENNY became momentarily unbalanced and lost ground.

BIG DIPPA was marginally slow to begin.  Through the first turn HAPPY GLEN, GIFTED ANGEL and SPRING DOTTIE were tightened for room and resulting in HAPPY GLEN to be checked and GIFTED ANGEL and SPRING DOTTIE to be severely checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight BIG DIPPA shifted outwards which resulted in SPRING DOTTIE which was racing to its outside to be hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight GIFTED ANGEL was tightened for room and hampered.  In the front straight BIG DIPPA bumped SHAKEY BENZ resulting in that runner to be hampered.
