MAIDEN 413M POLLY’S
MAID and NEDGO NAVY were best to begin.
Shortly after the start SURFBOARD and JOJO BELLE collided resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. NEDGO NAVY which was racing to the outside
of JOJO BELLE was checked as a consequence.
VALERIE MERLE, POET SOCIETY, SURFBOARD and JOJO BELLE all raced tight
resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to varying degrees. Rounding the turn into the front straight
SURFBOARD checked across the heels of VALERIE MERLE and was momentarily
hampered. JOJO BELLE which was racing
to its outside was checked as a consequence and raced wide. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M AUNTY FREDA, WILDASH THUNDER and ORPHAN ANNIE were best
to begin. Shortly after the start
NEDGO PRINCESS, GO FOR CHUCK and ZABDON MCGREGOR were tightened for racing
room, checked and lost ground. MR.
BELVEDERE which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost
ground. Leaving the 1st
turn IDLE MAN and WILDASH THUNDER collided with both greyhounds to be checked
and lose ground. NEDGO PRINCESS which
was trailling was checked as a consequence.
In the back straight IDLE MAN checked across the heels of WILDASH
THUNDER and was momentarily hampered.
Approaching the turn into the front straight IDLE MAN shifted out and
collided on a number of occasions with NEDGO PRINCESS resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Entering the front straight IDLE MAN shifted out which hampered the
running of NEDGO PRINCESS. GO FOR
CHUCK raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight. |

and BRIGHTEST STAR were best to begin.
ELSIE LANE was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start BUTTON PUSHER and MINNIE MAYWYN bumped. Shortly after KIMARI MARIA was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Through the 1st turn BUTTON PUSHER and MINNIE MAYWYN
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked. Entering the back straight ELSIE LANE
checked off the heels of SHANA’S ANGEL and lost ground. In the back straight BUTTON PUSHER was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight in the run to the
finish BUTTON PUSHER, ELSIE LANE and SHANA’S ANGEL raced tight resulting in
all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

MAIDEN 520M Even start.
PHANTOM PETE stumbled shortly after the start and lost ground. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion PHANTOM HOUDINI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after FROSTY BEJAY and
SWIFT LEAH collided resulting in FROSTY BEJAY to be checked and lose
ground. Approaching the turn into the
back straight FROSTY BEJAY and PHANTOM HOUDINI collided resulting in FROSTY
BEJAY to be checked and lose ground.
Entering the back straight WESTERN DIVISION and SWIFT LEAH collided
resulting in SWIFT LEAH to be checked and lose ground. PHANTOM PETE which was trailling was
momentarily hampered as a result of this incident. |

TREMBATH
TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M The greyhound KAWATI SON underwent a pre race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and was passed
fit to race. KAWATI SON was best to begin. Through the 1st turn FRANKA was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
Rounding the turn into the back straight AIM checked across the heels
of DAISY DREAMS and was momentarily hampered.
Entering the back straight HURUNUI ALYSSA improved onto the
hindquarters of MASKED ZORRO resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. Approaching the turn into
the front straight AIM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. The greyhound MASKED ZORRO underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD NOVICE 431M Even start with the exception of WERINA LIGHTNING and
MACFARLANE which were both slow to begin and UP THE HEAT which was slow to
begin. Entering the back straight
LITTLE DOTTY TOO and DYNAMO BLUE collided resulting in DYNAMO BLUE to be
checked and lose ground. UP THE HEAT
and DYNAMO BLUE bumped in the back straight and again in the front straight
during the run to the finish. The greyhound DYNAMO BLUE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound ZHICHAO LEE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5th GRADE 431M BOGIE TEEJAY was best to begin. Shortly after the start ORANGE THUNDER and
BENTAXLE were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn MJOLINER
and KYLE THE TANK collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. BENTAXLE which was
trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight SHAKEY RANDLE
and ORANGE THUNDER collided resulting in ORANGE THUNDER to be checked, fall
and take no further competitive part in the race. BENTAXLE and MJOLINER which were trailing
were severely checked and lost considerable ground. The greyhound ORANGE THUNDER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of
LIGHTNING WHITE which was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start JIGGLE SPLAT, FOREST DWELLER and WITHCOTT
FLYER raced tight. Through the 1st
turn LADY CORSAIR improved onto the heels of WITHCOTT FLYER and lost
ground. Entering the back straight
BANG ON TARGET checked across the heels of ABELE and raced wide. In the front straight in the run to the
finish FOREST DWELLER turned its head and marred the running of JIGGLE SPLAT
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr W Nicholls
that the greyhound FOREST DWELLER would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

CLINT’S CARAVAN
WAREHOUSE 4/5th GRADE 520M UNDER ADVICE and LALIQUE were best to begin. ZIPPING JOHNNY was slow to begin. ZIPPING JOHNNY commenced to give ground
rounding the turn out of the front straight to finish a considerable distance
from the remainder of the field.
Approaching the turn into the back straight UNDER ADVICE eased and
turned its head towards LALIQUE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked
and lose ground. Approaching the turn
into the front straight UNDER ADVICE shifted in which hampered the running of
COSMIC YESSAM. LALIQUE which was trailing
COSMIC YESSAM was checked as a consequence. The greyhound ZIPPING JOHNNY underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 6 weeks. Stewards advised trainer Mr J Perrett that the greyhound
UNDER ADVICE would be charged under Rule 69 (b) Failing to Pursue plus
injury, 1st offence, off hind toe, 10 days plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

5th GRADE 520M ARE YOU THERE and WATCH OUT RENALD were best to
begin. Shortly after the start THUNDER
OF FIRE shifted out which hampered the running of MIDNIGHT SHUFFLE and
THUNDER CLAP. Approaching the turn out
of the front straight ARE YOU THERE checked across the heels of WATCH OUT
RENALD, raced wide and lost ground as a consequence. Leaving the back straight PORT LISA was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight THUNDER CLAP improved onto the hindquarters of FLASHING FERGO
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |
