MAIDEN 520M Even
start. Shortly after the start SIXTEEN
WINX and PHANTOM HOUDINI collided.
Leaving the front straight SIXTEEN WINX, PHANTOM HOUDINI and GALWAY
KITE raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. WAZZA QUEEN which was trailling
was hampered as a result of this incident.
Rounding the turn out of the front straight HOME LUCK and PHANTOM PETE
collided resulting in HOME LUCK to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
SIXTEEN WINX was tightened for racing room, checked across the hindquarter of
GALWAY KITE and collided with WAZZA QUEEN resulting in both SIXTEEN WINX and
WAZZA QUEEN to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. The
greyhound SIXTEEN WINX underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING NOVICE 520M BRIGHT SATELLITE, THUNDER OF FIRE and NINPIN were best to
begin. In the front straight on the 1st
occasion CELS EXPRESS and SATAN’S GIFT bumped. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight SATAN’S GIFT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
FI FI RUMBLE and NINPIN collided.
Rounding the turn into the front straight PHANTON HENRY turned its
head in the direction of SATAN’S GIFT and failed to chase the lure with due
commitment. Entering the front
straight PHANTOM HENRY and SATAN’S GIFT collided resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. P O’Reilly that the
greyhound PHANTOM HENRY would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue
plus injury, 1st offence, off side hock, 14 days plus a
satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

GJ WALSH & CO 5th GRADE 520M Even start. Shortly after the start JACOBY RAIDER and
LITE ME UP collided. At the same time
IMA RUNAWAY and DROP SHORT collided.
As a result of this incident LITE ME UP and DROP SHORT lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
SUPER SCOOTER and CHASING RAINBOWS collided.
Rounding the turn into the back straight SUPER SCOOTER and CHASING
RAINBOWS collided resulting in CHASING RAINBOWS to be checked and lose
ground. LITE ME UP and IMA RUNAWAY which
were trailling were checked as a consequence and lost ground. WATCH OUT RENALD which was racing to the
outside of CHASING RAINBOWS was checked as a result of this incident and lost
ground. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of DARK JEDDA which was
marginally slow to begin. Through the
1st turn MIGHTY NIMROD, FABIARNA and LIL MISS PINKY were all
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground with FABIARNA losing
considerable ground. LIL MISS PINKY
raced wide for the majority of the race. |

3/4th GRADE 431M Even start.
RUSTY’S IMAGE slipped on the mat shortly after the start and lost
ground. Through the 1st
turn PEBBLE BAY, NANTUCKET KAHN, RUSTY’S IMAGE, WILDASH WILDBOY and CABELLO
MUCHO all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and NANTUCKET
KAHN fell and took no further competitive part in the race and RUSTY’S IMAGE
was severely checked and lost considerable ground as a result of this
incident. Entering the back straight
PEBBLE BAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound NANTUCKET KAHN underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 520M The greyhound LOCKETY BRIN underwent a pre race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and was passed
fit to race. PRATER’S PROMISE was best to begin. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight BINERAY BOY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
front straight FLYING TWISTER shifted out and collided with PAUA TO LAUNCH
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. At the same time BLACK OPS VERA was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound FLHYING TWISTER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND
COMPLEX 3/4th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of HESA BIRD which was
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start HESA BIRD checked across the heels of BEACH FRONT and lost
ground. Leaving the front straight
ISLA’S STYLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
FLAPPING GUMS and SNEAKIN’ OUT collided resulting in FLAPPING GUMS to be
checked and lose ground. FAST AZZ EL
which was racing to the outside of SNEAKIN’ OUT was checked as a consequence
and lost ground. ISLA’S STYLE which
was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
SNEAKIN’ OUT and FAST AZZ EL collided.
MAGOOLEY which was trailling was checked as a consequence. For the majority of the front straight
SNEAKIN’ OUT marred FAST AZZ EL which resulted in both greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. R Hamilton that the
greyhound SNEAKIN’ OUT would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd
offence, 3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. |

WALSH & CO 5th GRADE FINAL 520M The greyhound SIZEABLE underwent a pre
race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and was
passed fit to race. Even start. Shorty after the start FAB DOOLEY was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after OH GOLLY GOSH and SPRING
MYSTERY collided. Leaving the front
straight SCIPIO AFRICANUS collided with MINNIE MARTINI resulting in MINNIE
MARTINI shifting out and colliding with SIZEABLE resulting in both greyhounds
to be checked and lose ground. Shortly
after SPRING MYSTERY improved onto the hindquarters of SCIPIO AFRICANUS
resulting in SCIPIO AFRICANUS shifting out and collided with FAB DOOLEY which
resulted in FAB DOOLEY shifting out and collide heavily with MINNIE MARTINI
and SIZEABLE resulting in MINNIE MARTINI to be severely checked and fall
taking no further competitive part in the race with FAB DOOLEY and SIZEABLE
to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. The greyhound MINNIE MARTINI underwent
a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SCIPIO AFRICANUS
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were
found. The greyhound SPRING MYSTERY underwent
a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound FAB DOOLEY underwent a
post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

fit to race. KINLOCH BEACH, RAPID EXPLOSION and SHEZA RULER were best
to begin. ELEGANT STRIDER and KOORINGA
BUD were marginally slow to begin.
