Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound
COSMIC REVENGE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
431m in a time of 25.61 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound MY
NAMES SANDY performed a 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.80. The greyhound
MAYWYN NOICE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
431m in a time of 25.59 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until
after 19 June 2017. |

was best to begin. At the start MOJO
DUK and SLICE OF CAKE were tightened between EMMY and RATHNAIT. In the 1st turn GUNLEE ROCKER,
BONDI GIRL and RATHNAIT were all tightened and became unbalanced. EMMY and SLICE OF CAKE that were following
were inconvenienced as a result and lost ground. Approaching the top turn BONDI GIRL and
EMMY collided. In the top turn RATHNAIT
checked off heels. Entering the home
straight MOJO DUK and GUNLEE ROCKER collided.
SLICE OF CAKE and BONDI GIRL bumped over the concluding stages. The
greyhound EMMY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT
2 431M MR. WALES, CHIPPIE ROSE HI and TOPAZ TAN were slow to
begin. Shortly after the start TOPAZ
TAN checked off heels. In the 1st
turn POSSESSION, HAYVILLE GEORGE and SHAKEY SHOW were tight while MR. WALES,
CHIPPIE ROSE HI and THUG collided and became unbalanced. Shortly after, SHAKEY SHOW checked off
heels while POSSESSION improved onto the hindquarters of PARTY EVERY DAY and
both greyhounds became unbalanced.
Leaving the 1st turn MR. WALES, CHIPPIE ROSE HI, THUG and
TOPAZ TAN were all checked and lost ground.
Entering the back straight SHAKEY SHOW checked off heels. In the top turn CHIPPIE ROSE HI was tightened
and lost ground. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M SPRING
COMMAND, ADAM ROSE HI and WAYCOL BILL were slow to begin. In the 1st turn ADAM ROSE HI,
KIA BE GOOD and WAYCOL BILL collided.
Shortly after, SPOT ROSE HI clipped heels and fell taking no further
competitive part in the event. Leaving
the 1st turn LAZZA MANAZZA and FOXY BE GOOD collided. Approaching the top turn LAZZA MANAZZA improved
onto the heels of KIA BE GOOD, causing this greyhound to fall and take no
further competitive part in the event. As a result WAYCOL BILL and LAZZA
MANAZZA were severely hampered. The greyhound KIA BE GOOD underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound
SPOT ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. |

431M PROPER TOFF was best to begin. SPRING LOYAL was slowly away and DYNAMO
BLUE began awkwardly. In the 1st
turn NOIRE CHERIE and PROPER TOFF were tightened and SPRING LOYAL and SHOT TO
FAME that were following were hampered as a result. Approaching the top turn NOIRE CHERIE
checked off heels. |

TREMBATH
TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M GALWAY EAGLE and AGENDA were marginally slow. In the 1st turn SPRING ROY,
TEFLON FLYER and ALFONSO were tightened between AGENDA and KALANI KARL and
all greyhounds became unbalanced with BRASS ROAD that was following also
inconvenienced. Shortly after, ALFONSO
improved onto the hindquarters of TEFLON FLYER causing this greyhound to
shift out and collide with BRASS ROAD.
Entering the back straight AGENDA and SPRING ROY collided. Entering the top turn SPRING ROY and
ALFONSO collided and became unbalanced and BRASS ROAD that was following was
hampered. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE 520M SIZEABLE and CAPREGAS were best to begin. Approaching the 1st turn TRISTAN
CANNON, SIZEABLE, CAPREGAS and FLYING TWISTER were tightened. In the 1st turn TRISTAN CANNON
checked off heels and collided with FLYING TWISTER and both greyhounds lost
ground. HURUNUI ALYSSA that was
following was hampered as a result.
FLYING TWISTER checked off heels in the 1st turn. The greyhound FLYING TWISTER underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound TRISTAN CANNON underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound COSMIC YESSAM underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned on the performance of the
greyhound, trainer Mr. D. Massey noted to stewards that the greyhound is not
typically quick to begin. In reference to the greyhound’s previous
performance Mr. Massey stated that the greyhound had come from box 1 and
whilst slowly away, was afforded room throughout the run. Due to the box 5 draw on this occasion, Mr.
Massey advised that he did not support the greyhound. Stewards noted Mr.
Massey’s comments. The greyhound ALPHA HECTOR underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to be suffering from dehydration, and was stood down
for a period of 7 days. |

into the 1st turn and lost ground.
Approaching the top turn SPRING BENNY and BEC’S DIAMOND were tightened
as SAPPHIRE QUEEN shifted in. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 3/4th GRADE 431M RUNAWAY KITTY, ASTIN’S WARRIOR and
TITLE were best to begin. In the 1st
turn TOO MANY BILLS, VELOCITY CLOVER, SWITCH BLADE and BOGIE TEEJAY were
hampered. Leaving the 1st
turn TOO MANY BILLS and SWITCH BLADE collided causing SWITCH BLADE to lose
ground. Approaching the top turn
VELOCITY CLOVER was tightened.
Entering the back straight TOO MANY BILLS shifted out hampering SWITCH
BLADE. |

GREG STERNBERG VET
SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M SHEZA RULER was best to begin. IN the 1st turn KAWATI SON, OLD
MOON MADNESS, BLUE DOT and SHEZA RULER collided, causing FANCY FREEL and
POCKET BENZ that were following to be inconvenienced. Shortly after, BLUE DOT was tightened and
lost ground. FANCY FREEL that was
following was checked. Entering the
back straight SPRING ERNIE improved onto the heels of SHEZA RULER and both
greyhounds were severely checked and lost ground. POCKET BENZ that was racing to the outside
was also inconvenienced. LIL MISS
PINKY was wide in the home straight. |

tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding BLAZE ROSE
HI. Leaving the 1st turn

Shortly after BLAZE ROSE HI and SHAYLOR BART collided BLAZE ROSE HI to
lose ground. |
