Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound
FOREST DWELLER performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
431m in a time of 25.77 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until
after 27 June 2017. The greyhound
ALISSA’S ANGEL performed a satisfactory blinkers off trial over the distance
of 431m in a time of 25.55. The greyhound
CRYSTAL CASCADE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing trial over the
distance of 431m in a time of 26.29. The greyhound MAGIC
OPULENCE performed a satisfactory Return to Racing trial over the distance of
431m in a time of 25.98. |

MAIDEN 431M BONDI
GIRL, SPRING COMMAND and ROSDUE AVALON were best to begin with LAZZA MANAZZA
slow. Shortly after the start EMMY and
LAZZA MANAZZA bumped causing both greyhounds to be hampered. In the 1st turn BONDI GIRL,
SPRING COMMAND and ROSDUE AVALON bumped.
Rounding the turn into the back straight SPRING COMMAND clipped
heels. LAZZA MANAZZA which was trailing
was checked resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. In the back straight FROSTY BLACK JAY and
EMMY ran wide. Rounding the turn into
the home straight TOPAZ TAN clipped heels, shifted out colliding with EMMY
resulting in EMMY to run wide. In the
home straight SPRING COMMAND ran wide. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M Even start with GALWAY PUMA slow. Shortly after the start GRAVEL and NEDGO
LOGAN bumped. At the same time
TECHNO’S GLORY and BRIGHTEST STAR bumped resulting in all greyhounds to lose
ground. In the 1st turn
TERRANORA, GRAVEL, NEDGO LOGAN, TECHNO’S GLORY and BRIGHTEST STAR all
collided resulting in BRIGHTEST STAR and TECHNO’S GLORY to lose ground. Entering the turn out of the back straight
GRAVEL shifted out colliding with BRIGHTEST STAR resulting in both greyhounds
to run wide. In the back straight GALWAY
PUMA and NEDGO LOGAN bumped. Entering
the turn into the home straight GRAVEL and BRIGHTEST STAR bumped. |

WILDWIND, MAYWYN EMERALDS and NEDGO PRINCESS were best to begin with ELOISE slow. In the 1st turn ARFA SHOW OFF,
MISS OSPREY and NINPIN collided resulting in NINPIN and MISS OSPREY to lose
ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight NINPIN and MISS OSPREY collided resulting in both greyhounds to
be hampered. In the back straight MISS
OSPREY ran wide. Entering the top turn
SPRING DOLLY and ELOISE collided. MISS
OSPREY which was trailing was checked and shifted out. Approaching the finishing line NINPIN and
ARFA SHOW OFF bumped. |

NOVICE 431M WHITE EAGLE was best to begin. In the 1st turn BRONCO BOY,
SPRING ROY and SHOT TO FAME collided.
WHO SAID SO and PIPELINE PIP which were trailing were checked and both
greyhounds lost ground. Rounding the
turn into the back straight SHOT TO FAME shifted out colliding with WHO SAID
SO and PIPELINE PIP resulting in PIPELINE PIP and WHO SAID SO to lose ground. In the back straight SPRING ROY and SURE
SHOT collided resulting in SPRING ROY to lose ground. In the top turn SPRING ROY and WHO SAID SO
collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. The greyhound WHO SAID SO underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start CINDY CEE was tightened for racing room and
lost ground. In the 1st
turn all greyhounds except BIG DIPPER and LONESOME HERO collided, checked and
lost ground to differing degrees.
Rounding the turn into the back straight WHAT A MESS, MYONA ROSE and
DOUBLE SWATZA collided resulting in WHAT A MESS and DOUBLE SWATZA to lose
ground. Entering the back straight
CINDY CEE clipped heels shifted out and lost ground. In the top turn RICHMOND ROAD was tightened
for racing room and lost ground. In
the home straight BIG DIPPER and RICHMOND ROAD bumped. The greyhound CINDY CEE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 2
431M ARE YOU THERE and WITHCOTT FLYER were best to begin. Shortly after the start ORPHAN ANNIE and
SPRING POLLY bumped. Rounding the turn
into the back straight MAX BE DONNA clipped heels and was hampered. At the same time ORPHAN ANNIE was tightened
for racing room and lost ground. In
the back straight ARE YOU THERE was wide.
Entering the top turn MAX BE DONNA clipped heels and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the home straight
WITHCOTT FLYER and BEC’S DIAMOND collided resulting in WITHCOTT FLYER to
become unbalanced and hampered. In the
home straight ARE YOU THERE was wide. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. B Kitchener with their
concerns with WITHCOTT FLYER in the race.
After reviewing all available evidence the stewards could not be
confidently satisfied that the greyhound had offended under the rules of
racing and therefore given the benefit of the doubt. |

5th GRADE FINAL 431M HARBOUR DRIVE was best to begin. Shortly after the start POLLYS MAID and
COSADO SUN collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. In the 1st turn ON THE WALL was
tightened for racing room and lost ground.
At the same time POLLYS MAID and COSADO SUN bumped. Rounding the turn into the back straight ON
THE WALL and ZAFONIC FORCE bumped. At
the same time POLLYS MAID and COSADO SUN collided resulting in COSADO SUN to
lose ground. In the back straight KAAN
PAKMAK and MAYWYN OPALS were wide.
Leaving the top turn ON THE WALL and SOCIAL collided resulting in ON
THE WALL to lose ground. Rounding the
turn into the home straight POLLYS MAID and COSADO SUN collided resulting in
both greyhounds to lose ground. |

WALSH & CO 3/4th GRADE 431M SWITCH BLADE was best to begin. In the 1st turn COLD HARD TRUTH,
SPECIAL VIRTUE, GUN DANCER and CHEEKY CHEECH all collided resulting in CHEEKY
CHEECH, GUN DANCER and COLD HARD TRUTH to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
FLAPPING GUMS and COSMIC REVENGE collided, ran wide and both lost ground. Entering the top turn FLAPPING GUMS shifted
in colliding with COSMIC REVENGE, COLD HARD TRUTH and SPECIAL VIRTUE
resulting in COLD HARD TRUTH and COSMIC REVENGE to lose ground. Entering the home straight FLAPPIN GUMS and
DODGY DANCER collided resulting in DODGY DANCER to lose ground. Approaching the finishing line DODGY DANCER
and COLD HARD TRUTH collided resulting in DODGY DANCER to lose ground. The greyhound COSMIC REVENGE underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th
GRADE HEAT 3 431M OPTIMYSTIC was best to begin with SENNI LUCILLE and
SPRING BENNY slow. Shortly after the
start SPRING BENNY was tightened for racing room and lost ground. On the 1st turn SENNI LUCILLE,
KINDA HOT and SPRING BENNY collided.
At the same time OPTIMYSTIC and SAIL SURFER collided resulting in SAIL
SURFER to lose ground. Entering the
back straight SENNI LUCILLE and KINDA HOT bumped resulting in SENNI LUCILLE
to lose ground. Rounding the turn into
the home straight GOOD SORT and KINDA HOT bumped. In the home straight SENNI LUCILLE turned
its head inwards making muzzle contact with GOOD SORT. Stewards advised trainer Mr. K Ollerton that the
greyhound SENNI LUCILLE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

5th GRADE 431M DRAGON DANCER was best to begin. In the 1st turn RUMBLING JAKE,
ROSDUE BLUE GUM and LIL’ BIT SPARKY all collided resulting in all greyhounds
to lose ground. Rounding the turn into
the back straight SHAYLOR LES was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Entering the back straight NO SHOW JONES
and RUMBLING JAKE collided resulting in NO SHOW JONES to lose ground. In the back straight ROSDUE BLUE GUM ran
wide. In the home straight ROSDUE BLUE
GUM and RUMBLING JAKE ran wide. The greyhound ROSDUE BLUE GUM underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
