CIANNA’S ANGEL, SPRING REMI and SIN CITY KITTY were best to begin.  MAGIC OPULENCE, CRYSTAL CASCADE and GALWAY BLUEBIRD collided entering the 1st turn.  In the 1st turn SUPER FLICK clipped the heels of SPRING REMI causing this greyhound to become unbalanced.  Entering the back straight GALWAY BLUEBIRD and SPRING REMI collided and SPRING REMI lost ground.  Entering the top turn CRYSTAL CASCADE was tightened and momentarily hampered.  MAGIC OPULENCE raced wide in the back and front straights.

SKY RACING DOGS MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

SURFBOARD and DAZE LIKE THIS were best to begin.  WAYCOL BILL and IDLE MAN collided at the start causing IDLE MAN to become unbalanced.  In the 1st turn MR. RALPH and ADAM ROSE HI bumped and lost ground with IDLE MAN that was following also inconvenienced.  IDLE MAN was wide in the back straight.  Approaching the top turn WAYCOL BILL was tightened and shifted out, colliding with AFFLICTION, which lost ground.  IDLE MAN and AFFLICTION collided throughout the home straight.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M

TOPAZ TAN was marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn ZABDON MCGREGOR, OUTLAW ANNIE and SPRING COMMAND collided as BONDI GIRL shifted out and  OUTLAW ANNIE lost ground as a result.  Leaving the 1st turn TOPAZ TAN checked off heels and was momentarily hampered.  In the back straight BONDI GIRL shifted out and collided with ZABDON MCGREGOR.  Entering the top turn BONDI GIRL checked off heels.  Entering the home straight TOPAZ TAN checked off heels and became unbalanced.

STAR RISE was best to begin while SPECIAL SHOW was slowly away.  In the 1st turn GUNLEE GIRL and SPECIAL SHOW collided and became unbalanced while GALWAY EAGLE was tightened and momentarily hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn PIPLINE PIP was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  SPECIAL SHOW was tightened approaching the top turn.

 

The greyhound GUNLEE GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.  When questioned on the greyhound’s performance trainer’s representative Mr. I. Hoggan stated that the greyhound does not perform at its best when racing in restricted room, as it did on this occasion.  Mr. Hoggan further outlined to stewards that in his opinion the greyhound was not of great ability.  Stewards advised that future performances would be monitored.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5th GRADE 520M

SANDAVE BELLAIRE was slow to begin.  At the start BINERAY BOY shifted in causing tightening to KALANI KARL, VEE BEE DOOLEY and BEAU WONDER.  In the front straight ARE YOU THERE shifted out causing BINERAY BOY and OPTIMYSTIC that were following to collide.  In the 1st turn BINERAY BOY and BEAU WONDER collided and were unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn OPTIMYSTIC raced on the heels of BEAU WONDER and both greyhounds were checked.  Entering the top turn BEAU WONDER checked off heels and was momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound OPTIMYSTIC underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SPRING ERNIE and GADSBY’S ROAD were marginally slow to begin.  In the front straight JUST SPIFFING was tightened and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn NATURAL LAD and GADSBY’S ROAD collided causing GADSBY’S ROAD to lose ground.

FABULOUS KATIE and ASTIN’S WARRIOR were best to begin.  SPRING BENNY was checked at the start.  In the 1st turn SHINING SUPREME and SPRING HOUDINI were tightened, severely inconvenienced and lost ground.  Entering the top turn SPRING HOUDINI checked off heels and SHINING SUPREME that was following was inconvenienced.  In the top turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR was tightened and lost ground causing SPRING HOUDINI that was following to contact the hindquarters of this greyhound. As a result both became severely unbalanced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SHINING SUPREME underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound ASTIN’S WARRIOR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  In the 1st turn RUNAWAY KITTY was checked and became severely unbalanced with DODGY DANCER that was following collided with this greyhound and both lost significant ground.  Approaching the top turn MAGICAL YESSAM contacted the running rail and became severely unbalanced and lost ground.

 

The greyhound DODGY DANCER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound RUNAWAY KITTY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MAGICAL YESSAM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Shortly after the start ON THE WALL was bumped and lost ground.  At the same time ORPHAN ANNIE and SOCIAL collided.  In the 1st turn HIPSTER and WITHCOTT FLYER came together and were unbalanced.  Entering the back straight LITE ME UP and ON THE WALL checked off heels.  Entering the top turn HIPSTER and SOCIAL collided and were momentarily hampered.  Leaving the top turn LITE ME UP and DISCO DOLLY came together.

 

The greyhound ON THE WALL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

DROP SHORT was found to have become seasonal prior to the race, and was declared a late scratching at 6:45PM.

 

GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin.  In the 1st turn BENTAXLE and SNOW RUNNER collided and lost ground.  Shortly after, GOLD RAINS and GIFTED ANGEL raced tight and GIFTED ANGEL was hampered.  Entering the home straight GIFTED ANGEL and RAGNAR LOTHBROK bumped and became unbalanced.
