Stewards Trial 1 – 431m

The greyhound AUBERON performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in a time of 25.32.

 

RACE REPORTS

 

1.

SURFBOARD and ZABDON MCGREGOR were best to begin with GALWAY ALICE and MR. RALPH slow.  Shortly after the start SURFBOARD, LOWOOD DUK, PRATER’S RECRUIT and REEF AND BEEF collided resulting in LOWOOD DUK to lose ground.  In the 1st turn MR. RALPH clipped heels and was hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight ORBIT THE MOON and GALWAY ALICE bumped resulting in ORBIT THE MOON to lose ground.  Entering the top turn MR. RALPH clipped the heels of SURFBOARD resulting in this greyhound to fall and give no further competitive part in the race.  Entering the turn into the home straight ORBIT THE MOON and LOWOOD DUK collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the front and back straights ORBIT THE MOON ran wide.

 

The greyhound MR. RALPH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M

Even start with MR. MICKEY slow.  Shortly after the start FROSTY BLACK JAY, ODI SANNETTE and ISA FAB UP bumped resulting in all greyhounds to be hampered.  In the 1st turn FREE PRESS and BLAZIN’ CRUSHER bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Rounding the turn into the back straight FREE PRESS and ISA FAB UP collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight ISA FAB UP and MR. MICKEY collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.

 

The greyhound ISA FAB UP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound FREE PASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near fore and near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M

Even start with SPECIAL SHOW slow.  Shortly after the start ARFA SHOW OFF, ROSDUE AVALON and OUTLAW ANNIE bumped resulting in all greyhounds to be hampered.  In the 1st turn SIGHTZ, ROSDUE AVALON, OUTLAW ANNIE and NEDGO NAVY collided forcing all greyhounds to run wide and lose ground.  Entering the back straight SIGHTZ shifted out colliding with ROSDUE AVALON resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the back straight SIGHTZ ran wide.

 

The greyhound NEGDO NAVY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

HOT was best to begin with VEGAS BOY and WILDASH DIVA slow.  In the 1st turn WILDASH DIVA, TERRANORA and ASICLAO collided resulting in all greyhounds to be hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn ASICLAO and SWARAVSKI collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the back straight VEGAS BOY ran wide.  Entering the top turn SWARAVSKI and ASICLAO bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Entering the turn into the home straight VEGAS BOY shifted out and was momentarily hampered.  In the home straight SPRING COMMAND and VEGAS BOY ran wide.

 

The greyhound SWARAVSKI underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

CLINT’S CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M

Even start with SPRING DORRIE and SHOT TO FAME marginally slow.  In the 1st turn LALIQUE, LOVE SHAK, SHOT TO FAME and BIG DIPPA collided resulting in NEDGO PRINCESS to shift out and lose ground.  In the back straight LOVE SHAK and NEDGO PRINCESS ran wide.  Entering the home straight SHEZA RULER and SHOT TO FAME collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M

HOPEFUL MISS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start MAYWYN EMERALDS, SIRIUS STAR and BENTAXLE bumped.  Rounding the turn into the back straight SIRIUS STAR shifted out bumped BENTAXLE resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  Entering the top turn MIDNIGHT BURN and MAYWYN EMERALDS collided resulting in MIDNIGHT BURN to lose ground.  In the front and back straight SIRIUS STAR was side.

 

Stewards questioned trainer Mr. G Joyce regarding the performance of HOPEFUL MISS where he stated that the greyhound had been out for 2 weeks with an injury to the off hind toes and had been trialling well.

Even start.  In the 1st turn all greyhounds except COOL VANE an SNOZZSTA collided resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground to differing degrees.  Entering the turn into the back straight GIFTED ANGEL and KAAN PAKMAK collided resulting in KAAN PAKMAK to lose ground.  At the same time REIYN CHAAI clipped heels and was hampered.  In the back straight REIYN CHAAI and JACOBY RAIDER bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the home straight JACOBY RAIDER and SNOZZSTA were wide.

GJ WALSH & CO 3/4th GRADE 431M

ROAD TO FLAME and SPRING HOUDINI were best to begin with SPRING AUDREY marginally slow.  In the 1st turn WINDY GIRL, PACIFIC HARBOUR and SHOW BOUND collided with ASTIN’S WARRIOR which was trailing was checked and all greyhounds lost ground to differing degrees.  Entering the turn into the home straight ROAD TO FLAME and SPRING HOUDINI bumped.  In the back and front straight ASTIN’S WARRIOR was wide.

 

The greyhound WINDY GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound PACIFIC HARBOUR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M

MR. TERRIFIC was best to begin with ONE IN SIX and ROSDUE GOANNA slow.  Shortly after the start SMOKE AND MIRROR and ROSDUE GOANNA collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.  Leaving the 1st turn VEE BEE DOOLEY and MR. TERRIFIC collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered.  In the back straight VEE BEE DOOLEY and MR. TERRIFIC were wide.  In the top turn MAYWYNS NOISE and SHAYLOR LES bumped and both greyhounds were hampered.  In the home straight BELVEDERE BABE was wide.

 

The greyhound ROSDUE GOANNA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind toe and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

ROSDUE SPRITE was best to begin with ROYAL ALBERT and CHECKOUT CHARLIE slow.  In the 1st turn FORGOTTEN ALOTA, MAYWYN IF LUCKY and SHAYLOR HARRY collided resulting in MAYWYN IF LUCKY to shift out and collide with SHAYLOR BART resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the back turn FORGOTTEN ALOTA and SHAYLOR HARRY collided resulting in FORGOTTEN ALOTA to lose ground.  In the back straight MAYWYN IF LUCKY was wide.  Leaving the top turn FORGOTTEN ALOTA was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Entering the home straight ROYAL ALBERT and SHAYLOR BART bumped.  In the home straight MAYWYN IF LUCKY, FORGOTTEN ALOTA and RUMBLING JAKE ran wide.

 

The greyhound MAYWYN IF LUCKY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
