EAGLE was best to begin. At the start
DARK JEDDA and LAZZA MANAZZA collided and were unbalanced. In the 1st turn MR. BELLISSIMO,
CHAIN SMOKER and SURE SHOT all bumped as did BUD’S DELIGHT and WHITE
EAGLE. Leaving the 1st turn
MR. BELLISSIMO was tightened and lost ground.
In the top turn LAZZA MANAZZA and SUPER SHOT collided. |

5th GRADE 431M SPRING LAUREN, SPRING ERNIE and MAKE TODAY COUNT were
best to begin while OPTIMYSTIC was slow.
OPTIMYSTIC and READY CETTE collided at the start. Shortly after the start SPRING LAUREN and
SPRING ERNIE collided causing SPRING LAUREN to become unbalanced. In the 1st turn SHAKEY RANDLE
checked off heels and collided with ON THE WALL. Shortly after, READY CETTE, SPRING LAUREN
and SPRING ERNIE collided causing SPRING ERNIE and SPRING LAUREN to lose
ground. ON THE WALL that was following
was inconvenienced as a result. Entering
the top turn OPTIMYSTIC was tightened and forced to check off heels. The greyhound SPRING LAUREN underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS 5th GRADE 520M ZIVA’S LASS
was best to begin while SIZEABLE, POSTER BOY and COSMIC YESSAM were
marginally slow. Shortly after the
start POSTER BOY and COSMIC YESSAM came together causing COSMIC YESSAM to be
momentarily hampered. Entering the
home straight SAMANTHA BENZ checked off heels and shifted out. The greyhound
COSMIC YESSAM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent
injuries were found. However, the greyhound was found to have cramped in the
catching pen after the event. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE 520M MURBAH GOLD and BEC’S DIAMOND were best to begin. Shortly after the start FLASH VENTURE and
OH GOLLY GOSH collided. Leaving the 1st
turn BEC’S DIAMOND and OH GOLLY GOSH were tightened and lost ground. At the same time SPRING MYSTERY checked off
heels and was unbalanced. |

HARRIS GOLD SOV HEAT 1 0 – 4 WINS 630M ARE YOU THERE was best to begin. In the 1st turn AUSSIE DIAMOND,
SWEET KARMAR and REFUND REQUIRED were tightened and lost ground. HESA BIRD and REFUND REQUIRED raced wide
entering the front straight. In the
front straight HESA BIRD shifted in abruptly. Entering the home straight AUSSIE DIAMOND
checked off heels. Over the concluding
stages HESA BIRD and REFUND REQUIRED were tightened as AUSSIE DIAMOND shifted
in. |

COL HARRIS GOLD SOV HEAT 2 0 – 4 WINS 630M LONELY GIRL was best to begin. In the 1st turn SIMMSY’S
NINERON, PORT LISA and SORRENTO were all tightened causing SIMMSY’S NINERON
to lose significant ground. Leaving
the final turn LONELY GIRL shifted out and marred the running of MJOLINER
causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. D Russell
that the greyhound LONELY GIRL would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 day stand-down plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial over 630m, all
tracks. |

COL HARRIS GOLD SOV HEAT 3 0 – 4 WINS 630M IMA RUNAWAY was best to begin while PHANTOM HOUDINI was
slow. In the 1st turn
MINNIE MARTINI, PHANTOM HOUDINI, DIAMOND ROBYNE and SAY GOOD DAY were all
inconvenienced. In the bottom turn
SHAKEY START and KALANI KARL collided and became unbalanced. Entering the back straight MINNIE MARTINI
improved onto the heels of SHAKEY START and both greyhounds were
checked. Approaching the top turn
SHAKEY START checked off heels.
Shortly after, PHANTOM HOUDINI and MUSTANG NOVA came together. In the top turn SHAKEY START was tightened
and forced to shift out. Shortly after, MINNIE MARTINI was hampered. |

YOUNG GUNS FINAL 520M GO LASSIE GO was best to begin. ALPHA CHAOS, BIG BAD BOB and SYMPATHETIC
were marginally slow. Entering the 1st
turn MORAYFIELD SWIFT, SCIPIO AFRICANUS, SISSO’S JOY and FAB DOOLEY all came
together and were unbalanced. As a
result SYMPATHETIC and BIG BAD BOB that were following were inconvenienced
and forced to race wide through the turn.
Leaving the 1st turn FAB DOOLEY and MORAYFIELD SWIFT
collided causing MORAYFIELD SWIFT to become unbalanced. Entering the back straight SISSO’S JOY and
SCIPIO AFRICANUS were tightened as BIG BAD BOB shifted in. BIG BAD BOB was also inconvenienced as a
result of this incident. In the top
turn MORAYFIELD SWIFT was tightened for racing room and lost ground. The greyhound MORAYFIELD SWIFT
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5th
GRADE 431M MIGHTY NIMROD and SPRING ELLIE began well. In the 1st turn ALOTA AMY,
LIGHTNING WHITE, KLOEIS PRIDE and SECOND GEAR all collided and became
unbalanced and as a result ALOTA AMY contacted the running rail. SAIL SURFER and NO SHOW JONES that were
following were inconvenienced and all greyhounds lost ground to varying
degrees. In the back straight KLOEIS
PRIDE improved onto the heels of SAIL SURFER and both greyhounds were
checked. Approaching the top turn
ALOTA AMY and NO SHOW JONES were hampered. The greyhound ALOTA AMY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off fore foot, and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. The greyhound NO SHOW JONES underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near fore webbing,
and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M CASEY MINI ME was best to begin. In the 1st turn CAPTAIN’S KNOCK
checked off heels and became unbalanced.
At the same time MR. REALITY, MAYWYN PROMISES, DUDE PERFECT and
PENTADOG raced tight and unbalanced.
Shortly after, MR. REALITY checked off the heels of CAPTAIN’S KNOCK
and shifted out colliding with PENTADOG causing both greyhounds to lose
significant ground. MR. REALITY and
MAYWYN PROMISES was wide in the back straight and MAYYWN PROMISES was wide
entering the home straight. |
