MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M GOOD
GOLLY OLLY was best to begin with CRYSTAL CASCADE marginally slow. Shortly after the start ADAM ROSE HI,
WAYCOL BILL and BLAZIN’ CRUSHER collided resulting in all greyhounds to be
hampered. In the 1st turn
RAPID MAIL, EXEMPTION and GOOD GOLLY OLLY collided resulting in EXEMPTION and
GOOD GOLLY OLLY to run wide and lost ground.
At the same time ADAM ROSE HI and WAYCOL BILL collided resulting in
ADAM ROSE HI to lose ground. Entering
the back straight EXEMPTION and BLAZIN’ CRUSHER collided resulting in
EXEMPTION to lose ground. Leaving the
top turn EXEMPTION clipped heels and lost ground. Entering the home straight RAPID MAIL and
ADAM ROSE HI bumped. In the home
straight GOOD GOLLY OLLY was wide. The
greyhound EXEMPTION underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT
2 431M Even start with MAGIC OPULENCE, MR. MICKEY and GALWAY
ALICE marginally slow. In the 1st
turn MAGIC OPULENCE, TOPAZ TAN, ZAZU’S HEADACHE and MR. MICKEY collided
forcing MAGIC OPULENCE and MR. MICKEY to run wide colliding with GALWAY ALICE
resulting in MR. MICKEY to fall and give no further competitive part in this
race. Entering the home straight MAGIC
OPULENCE and TOPAZ TAN collided resulting in TOPAZ TAN to lose ground. In the back straight MAGIC OPULENCE was
wide. In the home straight MAGIC
OPULENCE and GALWAY ALICE were wide. The greyhound MR. MICKEY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound TOPAZ TAN underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound PIPE OF PEACE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M MISSY MOO was
best to begin with THUG slow. Shortly
after the start MADRE was tightened for racing room and hampered. In the 1st turn METRO MANILA got
on the hindquarters of OWN GOAL resulting in OWN GOAL to shift out colliding
with MALLEE BULL having all greyhounds lost ground. Entering the turn into the back straight
MADRE and THUG bumped resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. In the back straight METRO MANILA and OWN
GOAL collided resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. |

NOVICE 431M WILDASH NELLY was best to being with TOKEN TOFF slow.
Shortly after the start HOT,GOLD LINER and SELECT CASEY collided resulting in
all greyhounds to be hampered. In the first turn ENZO JAZZ clipped heels,
shifted out and collided with HOT and SELECT CASEY resulting in all greyhounds
to lose ground. Leaving the top turn HOT and SELECT CASEY bumped. In the
front straight HOT and SELECT CASEY
bumped. Approaching the finishing line SELECT CASEY turned its head outwards
making muzzle contact with HOT. Stewards advised trainer Mr. D Thirtle that the greyhound
SELECT CASEY would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

TYRE REPAIRS 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M Even start with NOVELLA marginally slow. Shortly after the start NATURAL LAD and
KIKEM STORMY bumped. Entering the 1st
turn NATURAL LAD and SNOW RUNNER collided forcing SNOW RUNNER to race
wide. In the top turn COOL VANE and
RUNAWAY KITTY collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. Entering the turn into the home straight
COOL VANE and RUNAWAY KITTY bumped resulting in RUNAWAY KITTY to lose
ground. Entering the home straight
ZABDON LAMBO and RUNAWAY KITTY collided resulting in both greyhounds to lose
ground. The greyhound RUNAWAY KITTY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side pin and was stood down for a period of 21 days. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 4/5th GRADE HEAT 2 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start WHAT A MESS and SIZEABLE bumped. In the 1st turn LONESOME DUK and
VEE BEE DOOLEY bumped forcing VEE BEE DOOLEY wide. At the same time WHAT A MESS got onto the
heels of DISCO DOLLY resulting in WHAT A MESS to lose ground. In the top turn SIZEABLE shifted out
colliding with WHAT A MESS resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. The greyhound LONESOME DUK underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5th GRADE FINAL 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start SALUDOS and APACHE BROOK bumped. Entering the 1st turn SALUDOS
hit the running rail and lost ground.
In the back straight APACHE BROOK was wide. Entering the turn into the home straight
SALUDOS and APACHE BROOK bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be
hampered. In the home straight SALUDOS
turned its head outwards but did not make muzzle contact. Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Tzouvelis that the
greyhound SALUDOS would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue with
injury, 1st offence, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
431m all tracks. The greyhound
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

CONSTRUCTIONS 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with GIFTED ANGEL and
SPRING BENNY marginally slow. Shortly
after the start all greyhounds except KAWATI SON collided and lost ground to
differing degrees. In the top turn
SPRING BENNY and ACE bumped resulting in ACE to lose ground and run
wide. Rounding the turn into the home
straight SPRING BENNY and ACE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
hampered. In the home straight KAWATI
SON ran wide. The greyhound ACE underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M Even start. In the
1st turn all greyhounds except GOLD SHERONA and SOCIAL collided
and lost ground at differing degrees.
Rounding the turn into the back straight NAOMI ROSE HI, POSSESSION and
ASTIN’S WARRIOR collided resulting in NAOMI ROSE HI to lose ground. Entering the back straight NAOMI ROSE HI
and BENTAXLE collided resulting in NAOMI ROSE HI to lose ground. In the back straight ASTIN’S WARRIOR was
wide. In the home straight ASTIN’S
WARRIOR and BENTAXLE were wide. The greyhound POSSESSION underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and
was humanely euthanised. |

DORREGO were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
ROSDUE SPRITE and CHECKOUT CHARLIE collided resulting in both greyhounds to
be hampered. In the top turn DORREGO
and MACFARLANE collided forcing DORREGO to shift out and check DEB’S PENNY
and CHECKOUT CHARLIE resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground. In the home straight ROSDUE SPRITE was
wide. The greyhound DEB’S PENNY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |
