Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound
HORATIO’S WAY failed a 6 month trial over the distance of 431m. The greyhound underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MAIDEN 431M BLAZING
and FROSTY BLACK JAY collided at the start causing BLAZING to become
unbalanced. In the 1st turn
ZABDON MCGREGOR and BLUE GIRL BLUE were tightened and shifted out, both
becoming unbalanced and losing ground.
BLACK KOALA that was following was inconvenienced and lost
ground. Leaving the 1st
turn MADRE checked off heels and was momentarily hampered. FROSTY BLACK JAY that was following was
forced to check off heels as a result.
Shortly after, BLACK KOALA was hampered and lost ground. Entering the back straight BLAZING improved
onto the heels of JAYDA IVY and both greyhounds were checked and lost
ground. Entering the top turn BLAZING
improved onto the heels of JAYDA IVY and both greyhounds were checked and lost
ground. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND
COMPLEX NOVICE 431M TOKEN TOFF was slow to begin. In the 1st turn general
tightening resulted in interference to all runners and all greyhounds lost
ground to varying degrees. Shortly
after, STAR RISE and TOKEN TOFF collided and were unbalanced. |

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE 431M NEDGO LOGAN
and OUTLAW ANNIE were best to begin.
HOT and WILDASH CECIL collided at the start. In the 1st turn VEGAS BOY,
SURFBOARD, HOT, WILDASH CECIL and WHITE EAGLE all collided and were
unbalanced. In the top turn OUTLAW
ANNIE was tightened and became unbalanced.
Shortly after, WHITE EAGLE and OUTLAW ANNIE collided and were
momentarily hampered. NIFTY NEAGLE was
kept wide through the 1st turn and entering the home straight. |

5th GRADE 431M ROSDUE SPRITE was best to begin. Shortly after the start UNIQUE KALEESI and
VELOCITY CLOVER bumped. In the 1st
turn SHAYLOR LES and CINDY CEE collided and became unbalanced. SHAYLOR HARRY that was following was also
inconvenienced. Leaving the 1st
turn SHAYLOR LES checked off heels. In
the top turn SHAYLOR HARRY and SCAR’S BROTHER collided. Entering the home straight CINDY CEE
shifted out and hampered SHAYLOR LES. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 3/4th GRADE 431M Even start. In the
1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all
runners. As a result SPECIAL VIRTUE
fell and took no further part in the event and ONYA BENZ lost significant
ground. Leaving the 1st
turn FARMOR CHIPS, RUNAWAY KITTY and PRINCESS EMALYS all collided and became
unbalanced causing FARMOR CHIPS to shift out and collide with TORQUE FLIGHT
and FARMOR CHIPS lost ground with TORQUE FLIGHT continuing to lose ground
throughout the back straight. The greyhound SPECIAL VIRTUE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind back
muscle, and was stood down for a period of 14 days. The greyhound TORQUE FLIGHT underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the near hind back
muscle, and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE FINAL 431M AIM and WILDASH WILLOW were best to begin while LION’S
BLUE was slow. In the 1st
turn ASTIN’S WARRIOR was tightened between DAISY DREAMS and DAHOMEY WILDWIND
and fell, taking no further competitive part in the event. LION’S BLUE and DAHOMEY WILDWIND that were
racing in proximity were hampered as a result of this incident. In the top turn MOCHACHINI MAN and AIM
raced tight and bumped. In the home
straight DAHOMEY WILDWIND shifted out and marred the running of DAISY DREAMS
and both greyhounds became unbalanced. The greyhound ASTIN’S WARRIOR underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Ms. M McLennan that the
greyhound DAHOMEY WILDWIND would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M SPRING SHELLEY and BRONCO BOY were best to begin. Leaving the 1st turn BRONCO BOY
and MAYWYN’S COPY were hampered.
MAYWYN’S COPY raced wide into the back straight. Entering the top turn DOUBLE SWATZA was
tightened. MAYWYN’S COPY shifted out
and raced wide entering the home straight and
BRONCO BOY that was following was hampered. The greyhound DOUBLE SWATZA underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SPARK YOU UP underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hock and
was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

WALSH & CO 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M LALIQUE and DUSTY ROCKS were best to
begin. In the 1st turn
THROTTLE ON, HEADGEAR and PRATER’S ACE bumped and became unbalanced. Shortly after, SENNI LUCILLE and DUSTY
ROCKS collided and became unbalanced.
Entering the back straight DUSTY ROCKS and SENNI LUCILLE collided and
lost ground. Entering the top turn
THROTTLE ON was checked and lost ground colliding with PRATER’S ACE that was
following. In the top turn SENNI
LUCILLE shifted out and collided with PRATER’S ACE. Stewards had some concerns regarding
the actions of the greyhound SENNI LUCILLE rounding the top turn however,
could not be comfortably satisfied that there was sufficient evidence to
pursue a charge against the greyhound. |

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 5th
GRADE HEAT 3 431M TOO MANY BILLS was slow to begin. In the 1st turn SHAKEY RANDLE,
BUD’S DELIGHT, SON OF BETTY, PRECIOUS SAL and THUNDER CLAP all bumped and
became unbalanced. Leaving the 1st
turn THUNDER CLAP was checked and lost ground and as a result clipped the
heels of SON OF BETTY causing this greyhound to be momentarily hampered. MAYWYN REWARDS was wide entering the back
straight. SON OF BETTY and BUD’S
DELIGHT came together in the top turn. |

0 – 4 WINS 630M MJOLINER, NOVELLA and SAY GOOD DAY were marginally slow
to begin. In the 1st turn
MJOLINER, REFUND REQUIRED and NOVELLA were tightened. Entering the front straight NOVELLA and
SPRING SHANAE came together and were unbalanced. In the home straight PENULTIMATE and SPRING
SHANAE collided causing PENULTIMATE to lose ground. |
