431m in a time of 26.22. |

MAIDEN 431M GALWAY
HYPERACT and BARNEY BE GOOD were best to begin. Shortly after the start KAY BEE SAZIA,
LOOSE TABACCO and FREE PRESS raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. Through the 1st
turn KAY CEE SAZIA improved onto the heels of GRAVEL shifted out and was
checked as a consequence. LOOSE
TABACCO and FREE PRESS which were trailling were checked as a result of this
incident. Rounding the turn into the
front straight LOOSE TABACCO and BLACK KOALA collided. GRAVEL raced wide round the turn into the
front straight. |

Through the 1st turn JETTA HARRY and FROSTY BLACK JAY were
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight ZAZU’S HEADACHE
was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

with the exception of DAD’S THE WORD which was slow to begin. Approaching the 1st turn ODI
SANNETTE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after the start SUPER SCOOTER was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight DAD’S THE WORD
improved onto the heels of TOPAZ TAN which resulted in TOPAZ TAN to be
checked and lose ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight TOPAZ TAN was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. TOKEN TOFF
which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost ground. |

NOVICE 431M OUTLAW ANNIE and SKIP TO IT were best to begin. Shortly after the start RATHNAIT was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn BRASS ROAD,
RATHNAIT and SURFBOARD were tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Entering the back straight
SURFBOARD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground and collided
heavily with RATHNAIT which was trailling resulting in both greyhounds to be
severely checked and lose considerable ground. PRATER’S SAINT raced wide over various
stages of the race. The greyhound SURFBOARD underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of ANOTHER HASSLER which
was marginally slow to begin and AZTEC FLASH which was slow to begin. Leaving the 1st turn HOLLYWOOD
ROSE HI was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Shortly after BEACH FRONT was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound ANOTHER HASSLER underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND 4/5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start BELVEDERE BABE, SPRING HOUDINI and TITLE raced
tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Through the 1st turn UNIQUE
MOTIVE, SNOZZSTA and SPRING HOUDINI were all tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn out of the back straight BELVEDERE BABE improved onto the heels of ME
HAPPY, resulting in ME HAPPY to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front
straight TITLE and GINA SANNETTE collided resulting in GINA SANNETTE to be
checked and lose ground. Entering the
front straight ME HAPPY was tightened for racing room, shifted out and
collided with SPRING HOUDINI resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. |

Approaching the turn into the front straight on the 1st
occasion JIMARY NAVIGATOR was tightened for racing room, shifted out and
collided with SWEET KARMAR on a number of occasions which resulted in both
greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. PORT LISA which was trailing was checked as
a consequence and lost ground.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight SWEET KARMAR and SPRING
SHANAE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

SHERONA were best to begin.
Approaching the 1st turn SHAKEY RANDLE and MAYWYNS NOISE
collided. Through the 1st
turn SPRING SHELLEY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. DUDE PERFECT which was trailing
was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

GENTABLUE PET FOOD 4/5th
GRADE HETA 2 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start MADIES and COBBER IN MOTION were both
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn PRATER’S
ACE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the front straight SPRING COMMAND
shifted out and collided with LIL MISS PINKY. The greyhound SPRING COMMAND underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. C Byers in
regard to the greyhound’s actions in the run to the finish. After considering all available evidence
stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that SPRING COMMAND had breached
any rule and therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt. |

4/5th GRADE HEAT 3 431M The greyhound GUMTREE KID underwent a pre race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and passed fit
to race after it had slipped its lead in the marshalling yard prior to the
race. LUCKY CALL, SOCIAL and GUMTREE KID were best to
begin. Through the 1st turn
IT’S ABOUT TIME was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight OUR MISS MOLLY
and GUMTREE KID collided resulting in GUMTREE KID to be checked and lose
ground. The greyhound SPRING DORRIE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound GUMTREE KID underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
