Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound BIG
WINSTON performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m in
a time of 25.54 and is now cleared all tracks except Brisbane. |

MAIDEN 431M Even
start with MR. DON slow. Shortly after
the start SIN CITY KITTY, BLUE GIRL BLUE, BLACK KOALA and DESERT CHILD
collided causing all greyhounds to lose ground. At the same time SIN CITY KITTY and MR. LEO
collided resulting in SIN CITY KITTY to lose ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
BLAZIN’ CRUSHER and MR. LEO collided causing MR. LEO to lose ground and as a
result SIN CITY KITTY was checked.
Entering the back straight MR. DON and BLUE GIRL BLUE collided causing
BLUE GIRL BLUE to lose ground.
Entering the top turn BLAZIN’ CRUSHER and SUPER FLICK collided causing
SUPER FLICK to run wide and lose ground.
In the back straight MR. LEO and SIN CITY KITTY were wide. In the front straight BLUE GIRL BLUE and
SUPER FLICK were wide. The
greyhound MR. LEO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound SUPER FLICK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. K Ollerton that the greyhound would be charged under Rule
71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial
431m all tracks prior to nominating. The
greyhound SIN CITY KITTY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the near side fibula and was stood down
for a period of 10 days. The
greyhound MR. DON underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found
to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 520M IZY MAGIC was best to begin with MR. RALPH slow. Shortly after the start TECHNO’S GLORY, MR.
MICKEY and INDI BE GOOD all collided resulting in MR. MICKEY and TECHNO’S
GLORY to lose ground. Approaching the
1st turn TECHNO’S GLORY and MR. MICKEY collided resulting in both
greyhounds to lose ground. In the 1st
turn IZY MAGIC and DREAMS DENIED bumped.
Rounding the turn into the back straight MR. RALPH clipped heels and
lost ground. Entering the turn into
the front straight INDI BE GOOD shifted out turning its head outwards making
muzzle contact with MR. RALPH around the turn into the home straight on
numerous occasions. The greyhound INDI BE GOOD underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. J Aylward that
the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 520m all tracks. The greyhound MR. MICKEY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

start. Shortly after the start SUPER
SCOOTER and TRENCH VAPOUR collided resulting in TRENCH VAPOUR to lose
ground. At the same time MAMMA’S BOY
was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the 1st turn MAY ROAD and
DEFINITELY YES collided forcing DEFINITELY YES to lose ground resulting in
EYE LINER ROSE to be checked and lose significant ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
DEFINITELY YES shifted out colliding with EYE LINER ROSE resulting in both
greyhounds to run wide and lose ground. |

4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with MAYWYN PETTYCASH marginally slow. Shortly after the start PRECIOUS SAL and
NOT LIKE TOMMY bumped causing both greyhounds to be hampered. In the 1st turn DAY TIME FRIEND
shifted out colliding with MINSTREL MAN forcing both greyhounds wide and to
lose ground. The greyhound MINSTREL MAN underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards
questioned licensed trainer Mr Mick Emery about the performance of the
greyhound were he stated that the inside box is more suited and races best
when leading. Also said that he placed his regular bet on the greyhound. |

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE 431M Even start with DORREGO marginally slow. Shortly after the start BANG ON TARGET was
tightened for racing room and hampered.
In the 1st turn ME HAPPY and ON THE WALL collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be hampered.
Entering the back straight ON THE WALL commenced to give ground in
open racing. In the back straight BANG
ON TARGET and ME HAPPY raced wide.
Approaching the top turn DORREGO and WHAT A MESS bumped on numerous
occasions resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. Leaving the top turn DORREGO shifted out
colliding with WHAT A MESS causing WHAT A MESS to fall and give no further
competitive part in the race. As a
result BANG ON TARGET was checked and lost ground. The greyhound WHAT A MESS underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MAKE TODAY COUNT underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound ON THE WALL underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side hock and was humanely euthanized. |

1st turn FROSTY AJAY, SHEBA’S DOLL and CYCLONE BARCI collided
resulting in SHEBA’S DOLL to lose ground.
In the front straight on the 1st occasion SHEBA’S DOLL and
NOVELLA bumped causing both greyhounds to be hampered. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight FROSTY AJAY and CYCLONE BARCI collided causing FROSTY AJAY to shift
out and lose ground. Entering the turn
out of the back straight ZIVA’S LASS and NOVELLA collided resulting in ZIVA’S
LASS to lose ground. As a result
SHEBA’S DOLL was checked and lost ground. |

LION’S BLUE were both tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the top turn BINERARY BOY and PHANTOM
PETE bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be hampered. |

WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE 520M Even start. Shortly after the start PARTY EVERY DAY was
checked and hampered. Approaching the
1st turn PARTY EVERY DAY hit the running rail colliding with SWEET
KARMAR and BEC’S DIAMOND causing BEC’S DIAMOND to fall and give no further
competitive part in this race and SWEET KARMAR to lose ground. Approaching the finishing line STROGANOFF,
NATURAL LAD and MAURICE MINOR bumped. The greyhound BEC’S DIAMOND underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound PARTY EVERY DAY
underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were
found. |

Shortly after the start HAYVILLE GEORGE was tightened for racing room
and lost ground. In the 1st
turn DE ZOOYA, MAYWYN OPALS, THIS TIME MADDIE and TITLE all collided causing
all greyhounds to be hampered. Leaving
the 1st turn HAYVILLE GEORGE and MAYWYN OPALS collided forcing
HAYVILLE GEORGE wide and to lose ground.
Approaching the top turn PAUA TO LAUNCH shifted in colliding with SHAKEY
RANDLE resulting in SHAKEY RANDLE to lose ground. Leaving the top turn SHAKEY RANDLE clipped
heels, shifted out checking TITLE causing both greyhounds to lose
ground. Entering the front straight
TITLE got on the hindquarters of HAYVILLE GEORGE causing both greyhounds to
lose ground. In the front straight
HAYVILLE GEORGE and MAYWYN OPALS bumped resulting in both greyhounds to be
hampered. The greyhound HAYVILLE GEORGE underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards question
licensed trainer Mr Glen Boody on the performance of the greyhound were he
stated that he was happy with the run after the interference the greyhound
had suffered and that he did not support it. |

slow. In the 1st turn
BENTAXLE, BIT DIPPA and GRAND ANGEL collided causing BENTAXLE and BIG DIPPA
to lose ground. Rounding the turn into
the back straight SENNI LUCILLE clipped heels and lost ground. Entering the back straight BENTAXLE and
GRAND ANGEL collided causing BENTAXLE to lose ground. In the back and front straight SENNI
LUCILLE was wide. Rounding the turn
into the front straight TIN AND NIEL shifted out colliding with HANG ON LADS
causing both greyhounds to lose ground. |
