MAIDEN 431M Even
start with the exception of CALYPSO BAY and MALLEE BULL which were both
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start MR. LEO and GALWAY HYPERACT collided resulting in MR. LEO to
be checked. Leaving the 1st
turn MALLEE BULL improved onto the hindquarters of MR. LEO resulting in MR.
LEO to be severely checked, fell and take no further part in the race. MALLEE BULL was severely checked and lost
considerable ground as a result of this incident. Entering the back straight TAZI BE GOOD was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the back straight WILDASH THUNDER
checked across the heels of CATCH ME KEITH.
Leaving the back straight CALYPSO BAY was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. The
greyhound MR. LEO underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound WILDASH THUNDER underwent a post race veterinarian examination and
no apparent injuries were found. |

Shortly after the start BRASS ROAD was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Shortly after
SURE SHOT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
BARNEY BE GOOD was tightened for racing room, severely checked, fell and took
no further part in the race. SURFBOARD
which was trailling was severely checked as a result of this incident and
lost considerable ground. The greyhound BARNEY BE GOOD underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

front straight NATURAL LAD was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. In the front straight during
the latter stages of the race OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked across the heels of

CONSTRUCTIONS 5th GRADE 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start BINERAY BOY was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Leaving the
front straight STRING QUARTET was tightened for racing room, checked and
collided heavily with BINRAY BOY resulting in STRING QUARTET to be severely
checked and lose considerable ground.
At the same time ARE YOU THERE checked across the heels of PRATER’S
ACE and lost ground. Approaching the
turn into the back straight MATRICULATE and ELING FEELING collided resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Entering the back straight PRATER’S ACE and
ELING FEELING collided resulting in ELING FEELING to be checked and lose
ground. Leaving the back straight
MATRICULATE and BINERAY BOY collided resulting in MATRICULATE to be lose
ground. Rounding the turn into the
back straight MATRICULATE turned its head and marred the running of ELING
FEELING resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound STRING QUARTET underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MATRICULATE underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Giltinan
that the greyhound wold be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st

4/5th GRADE 431M The start of this race was delayed when BANG ON TARGET
proved difficult to be boxed. BANG ON
TARGET will be declared a ‘hard to box’ greyhound for its immediate racing
future. Even start.
Through the 1st turn PAUA TO LAUNCH was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
COLD HARD TRUTH commenced to give ground entering the back straight to
finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. The greyhound MAYWYN PETTYCASH underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound COLD HARD TRUTH underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days. |

IPSWICH FUTURITY FINAL
520M Even start.
Shortly after the start SPLENDIFEROUS checked across the heels of
POLLYS MAID and lost ground. Leaving
the front straight KEALOAH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after STRUDEL was
tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with COMANECI resulting
in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
BARBARELLA and POLLYS MAID collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. STRUDEL and
COMANECI which were trailling were severely checked as a result of this
incident and lost considerable ground.
At the same time ROXANNE BENZ and KEALOAH collided resulting in both
greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Entering the back straight BARBARELLA and SPLENDIFEROUS collided. Shortly after SPLENDIFEROUS turned its head
and marred the running of BARBARELLA.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight POLLYS MAID was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground.
In the front straight prior to the winning post ROXANNE BENZ eased. Stewards advised trainer Mr. G Smith that the greyhound
SPLENDIFEROUS would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 2nd offence,
3 months plus a satisfactory stewards’ trail 520m all tracks. Stewards advised trainer Ms. B Beasley that the greyhound
ROXANNE BENZ would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue plus
injury, 1st offence, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
520m all tracks. The greyhound
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

DERBY FINAL 520M Even start. Shortly after the start RINGBARK MASON was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the front straight ALPHA ATLAS was
tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and collided with RICHMOND
ROAD resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. SALUDOS and STROGANOFF were both checked as
a result of this incident and lost ground.
Entering the back straight ALPHA ATLAS and RINGBARK MASON collided
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. |

collided resulting in HANG ON LADS to be checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
TUBBY TURNER and HANG ON LADS collided resulting in HANG ON LADS to be checked
and lose ground. Rounding the turn out
of the back straight SON OF BETTY shifted out which hampered the running of
SAMANTHA BENZ. In the front straight
SON OF BETTY and HANG ON LADS collided. |

IVY, SHAKEY RANDLE, MAYWYN IF LUCKY, GIFTED ANGEL and KAAN PAKMAK were all
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the back straight MAYWYN IF LUCKY
checked across the heels of KAAN PAKMAK and lost ground. WILDASH BAM BAM commenced to give ground
rounding the turn into the front straight. The greyhound WILDASH BAM BAM underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
side shoulder and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |
