GEMMA’S BLUE and FREE PRESS were slow to begin.  At the start VELOCITY ONYX, VELOCITY BARINA, WILLY TOULA and VELOCITY CHARM collided and were unbalanced.  GEMMA’S BLUE that was following was inconvenienced.  In the 1st turn BLACK KOALA, WILLY TOULA, VELOCITY ONYX and VELOCITY CHARM collided causing VELOCITY ONYX to shift out and collide heavily with FREE PRESS and VELOCITY BARINA and all 3 greyhounds lost significant ground.  In the back straight FREE PRESS was checked.

 

The greyhound VELOCITY ONYX underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

BONDI GIRL was best to begin.  Shortly after the start VELOCITY DOREEN, MADRE and JOJO BELLE collided causing JOJO BELLE to lose ground.  In the 1st turn VELOCITY DOREEN improved onto the heels of SPRING REMI and both greyhounds were checked.  Leaving the 1st turn SNOWBALL OTTO and INNAMINCKA collided causing INNAMIONCKA to become unbalanced.  INOUNO was wide in the back straight.  In the back straight JOJO BELLE and VELOCITY DOREEN collided.  Approaching the top turn JOJO BELLE was tightened and momentarily hampered.  In the top turn VELOCITY DOREEN checked off heels.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M

SHORT SESSION was best to begin. Shortly after the start WILDASH THUNDER and ROI LEAR KAHN collided and became unbalanced. In the first turn SNOWBALL CREED, REEF AND BEEF, ROI LEAR KAHN and WILDASH THUNDER were tightened and became unbalanced. WILDASH THUNDER was wide in the back straight. In the back straight SNOWBALL CREED improved onto the heels of REEF AND BEEF and both greyhounds were checked. Entering the top turn REEF AND BEEF was tightened and momentarily hampered.

 

The greyhound REEF AND BEEF underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

RULE THE ROAD was best to begin while COSMIC REX, SLIP MY MIND and TEFLON FLYER were marginally slow.  COSMIC REX and SLIP MY MIND collided at the start.  Shortly after the start SIGARLA, SWIFT DUAL and SURF CATCHER collided.  In the 1st turn general tightening resulted in interference to all runners excluding RULE THE ROAD and caused TEFLON FLYER, SIGARLA, SWIFT DUAL and SURF CATCHER to lose ground.  In the top turn TEFLON FLYER checked off heels.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M

TRENCH VAPOUR and VALKYRIE BLUE were best to begin.  At the start VALKYRIE BLUE, GRAVEL and FARMOR AT LAST collided.  Shortly after, GRAVEL, FARMOR AT LAST, MISS AMELIA and ENZO JAZZ were all tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Leaving the 1st turn TRENCH VAPOUR was checked and lost ground.  In the top turn GRAVEL shifted out hampering FARMOR AT LAST that was following.  Shortly after, MISS AMELIA, GRAVEL and FARMOR AT LAST all collided.

 

The greyhound FARMOR AT LAST underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GIFTED ANGEL was best to begin while VALKYRIE CANDY was slow.  Shortly after the start SPRING SHELLEY, BENTAXLE and IT’S ABOUT TIME were tightened.  In the 1st turn SPRING SHELLEY, GIFTED ANGEL and IT’S ABOUT TIME were all hampered.  Entering the back straight GIFTED ANGEL was checked and lost ground.  Entering the top turn RAGNAR LOTHBROK and MAYWYN’S YING collided.  In the top turn MAYWYN’S YING checked off heels.  Entering the home straight MAYWYN’S YING, SPRING SHELLEY and BENTAXLE collided and became unbalanced.  In the home straight SPRING SHELLEY and MAYWYN’S YING collided.

Even start.  Shortly after the start CELS EXPRESS was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered.  Entering the 1st turn CAKE IT ON and COMANECI checked off heels.  Entering the back straight YANCY BALE and SHAKEY START were hampered.

THIS TIME MADDIE and SOCIAL were best to begin.  In the 1st turn DODGY DANCER, ADHARA STEEL, LITTLE FONZIE and LITTLE ACH CEE collided and were unbalanced.  Leaving the 1st turn DODGY DANCER was tightened and lost ground.  PENTADOG that was following was inconvenienced.  DODGY DANCER was wide in the back straight.  Entering the top turn ADHARA STEEL contacted the running rail and shifted out.

 

The greyhound ADHARA STEEL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 4/5th GRADE 431M

MIDNIGHT DASHER and MAYWYNS NOISE were marginally slow to begin.  In the 1st turn SPRINGFIELD BOY was checked and lost ground and this greyhound continued to lose ground into the back straight.  Leaving the 1st turn SLAYER RETURN and MOCHACHINI MAN came together.  In the top turn SPRING AUDREY improved onto the heels of MIDNIGHT DASHER and both greyhounds became unbalanced.

 

The greyhound MIDNIGHT DASHER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound SPRINGFIELD BOY underwent a post-race veterinary examination, was found to have suffered an injury to the chest muscle, and was stood down for a period of 14 days. Trainer Mr. M. Boody advised stewards that he would consider retiring this greyhound due to its history of injury.

SHEZA RULER was best to begin.  Shortly after the start ODI SANNETTE, SCAR’S BROTHER and LAZZA MANAZZA were tightened and momentarily hampered.  Leaving the 1st turn WHITE EAGLE, EDGY and ODI SANNETTE collided causing WHITE EAGLE to shift out and collide with SHE’S INAY FACE and both greyhounds lost ground.  Shortly after, FARAHMAC checked off heels.  EDGY that was following was hampered.  Entering the top turn SHEZA RULER and FARAHMAC collided.
