Stewards Trial 1 – 413m The greyhound
COMMUNITY performed a satisfactory 6 month trial over the distance of 431m in
a time of 25.21. |

MAIDEN 431M Even
start. Shortly after the start KANOJO
and LOWOOD DUK collided causing KANOJO to lose ground. In the 1st turn IDLE MAN and
CATCH ME KEITH collided causing LOWOOD DUK and GOOD DAZE AHEAD to be checked
resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground.
Entering the top turn LOWOOD DUK shifted in colliding with IDLE MAN
and KANOJO causing IDLE MAN and LOWOOD DUK to fall and give no further
competitive part in this race with KANOKO hitting the running rail and losing
ground. In the front straight CATCH ME
KEITH and GOOD DAZE AHEAD were wide. The
greyhound IDLE MAN underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. The
greyhound KANOJO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found
to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. The
greyhound LOWOOD DUK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was
found to have suffered an injury to the both hind feet and was stood down for
a period of 5 days. |

SKY RACING NOVICE 520M THUNDER OF FIRE was best to begin. Approaching the 1st turn ELOISE,
PRATER’S SAINT and MAMMA’S BOY all collided causing all greyhounds to be
hampered. Leaving the 1st
turn SORRENTO and ARFA SHOW OFF collided forcing both greyhounds to run wide
and lose ground. In the front straight
ELOISE was wide. |

CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE 3/4th GRADE 431M ROAD TO FLAME
was best to begin with CHULU CHULULU marginally slow. Rounding the turn into the back straight
HEZA SIZE UP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. In the top turn LIGHTNING WHITE was
tightened for racing room and hampered. |

1st turn DOLLAR AND CENT, SWIFT NIMROD, WILDASH DIVA and TITLE
collided causing DOLLAR AND CENT and SWIFT NIMROD to be hampered. Rounding the turn into the back straight
WILDASH DIVA and SWIFT NIMROD collided causing SWIFT NIMROD to lose
ground. Entering the top turn DIAMOND
JAKEY was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the front straight SWIFT NIMROD was
wide. |

GRADE 431M Even start with INDIAN GIVER and MAYWYN PETTYCASH
marginally slow. Leaving the 1st
turn WILDASH SEMI was tightened for racing room and lost ground. In the back straight DODGY DANCER and
MAYWYN PETTYCASH were wide. Entering
the top turn WILDASH SEMI and INDIAN GIVER bumped causing WILDASH SEMI to be
hampered. Entering the home straight
INDIAN GIVER shifted out and turned its head outwards to DODGY DANCER but did
not make muzzle contact. At the same
time WILDASH SEMI turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with THIS
TIME MADDIE. Stewards advised trainer Mr. B Giltinan that the
greyhound WILDASH SEMI would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st
offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. Stewards advised trainer Mrs. J Cauchi that the greyhound
INDIAN GIVER would be charged under Rule 69 (B) Failing to Pursue plus
injury, 1st offence, 10 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial
431m all tracks. The greyhound
underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the off side fibula and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M CAKE IT ON was best to begin with AZTEC FLASH slow. Approaching the 1st turn COME
TOGETHER and ARE YOU THERE collided causing ARE YOU THERE to race wide and
lose ground. Entering the back
straight COME TOGETHER and MISS BECKY SAM bumped causing COME TOGETHER to be
hampered. The greyhound ARE YOU THERE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

tightened for racing room and hampered.
In the front straight JACOBY RAIDER and MAYWYN PROMISES were wide. The greyhound POLLY’S MAID underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

MISS SHOW was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
on the 1st occasion MJOLINER and FLYING TWISTER collided forcing
both greyhounds to run wide and lose ground. The greyhound FLYING TWISTER underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 10 days. |

causing both greyhounds to lose ground. |

5th GRADE 431M SHEZA RULER was best to begin with BIG DIPPA and KAAN
PAKMAK marginally slow. Entering the 1st
turn DO THAT PHOEBEE and SPRING POLLY collided causing both greyhounds to
lose ground. Entering the turn into
the back straight KAAN PAKMAK shifted out collided with NOIRE CHERIE and both
greyhounds were hampered. In the back
straight KAAN PAKMAK ran wide.
Approaching the top turn MADAM LOOPSY was tightened for racing room
and lost ground. In the front straight
SPRING POLLY and SHEZA RULER bumped causing SHEZA RULER. The greyhound MADAM LOOPSY underwent a post-race
veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off
hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |
