MAIDEN 413M NEVER
A PROBLEM, REEF AND BEEF and ZABDON MCGREGOR were best to begin. JAGGERNAUGHT and FREE PRESS were both slow
to begin. Through the 1st
turn REEF AND BEEF was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. In the back straight REEF AND
BEEF checked across heels and lost ground.
Approaching the turn into the front straight ARREBA shifted out and
bumped BLACK KOALA resulting in BLACK KOALA to become unbalanced and fall and
took no further part in the race. The
greyhound BLACK KOALA underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN 431M Even start with the exception of THUG, SIXTEEN WINX and
KAY CEE SAZIA which were all marginally slow to begin. Through the 1st turn SPRING REMI
and ZAZU’S HEADACHE collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and
lose ground. SIXTEEN WINX which was trailling was checked as a consequence and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight
LAWYER UP was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound LAWYER UP underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. Stewards questioned trainer Mr. P Shaxon
in respect to SPRING REMI’s actions in the run to the finish where it
appeared the greyhound may have turned its head in the direction of SIXTEEN
WINX. After considering all available
evidence stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the greyhound had
offended and therefore gave it the benefit of the doubt. |

with the exception of SURE SHOT and WAYCOL BILL which were both marginally
slow to begin. Rounding the turn into
the back straight SURE SHOT shifted in and made contact with the running rail
and lost ground. Entering the back
straight WAYCOL BILL was tightened for racing room, checked, shifted out and
collided with AERONA resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and
lose considerable ground. Leaving the
back straight WAYCOL BILL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn into the
front straight AERONA shifted out and collided with HOT resulting in both
greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground. The greyhound
SURE SHOT underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M HOLLY KNOCKS was best to begin. Shortly after the start BLUE DOT and
SANDLER collided resulting in SANDLER to be checked and lose ground. The greyhound SANDLER underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

CLINT’S
CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M Even start with the exception of WOODY’S GIRL which was
marginally slow to begin. Leaving the
1st turn WITHCOTT FLYER and DOLLY’S WALLY collided resulting in
DOLLY’S WALLY to be checked and lose ground.
Shortly after PIPE OF PEACE was tightened for racing room, checked and
lost ground. ORPHAN ANNIE which was trailing
was checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Entering the back straight WOODY’S GIRL and SPRING POLLY were both
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the front straight ORPHAN ANNIE
and WITHCOTT FLYER collided. The greyhound WOODY’S GIRL underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for a period of 10
days. The greyhound MONTAIGNE underwent a post
race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the off side hock and was stood down for a period of 28 days. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUNDS COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT
3 431M Even start.
Shortly after the start LIL MISS PINKY, LARRIKAN LASS, SMOKE AND
MIRROR and AWESOME WILLS raced tight.
SPRING NAKANO raced wide in the back straight. AWESOME WILLS which was racing to its
outside was hampered as a consequence.
Rounding the turn out of the back straight LITTLE DOTTY TOO, HURUNUI
ALYSSA and AWESOME WILLS raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. SPRING NAKANO
which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
HURUNUI ALYSSA and AWESOME WILLS collided. The greyhound LARRIKAN LASS underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the near hind toe and was stood down for a period of 21
days. |

greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight AIM was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
