MAIDEN 431M SWIFT
BARB was slow to begin. LILLY PILLY
LASS was very slow to begin. Shortly
after the start WILLY TOULA, SMART SHIRL and ARREBA all collided. In the 1st turn ARREBA, SMART
SHIRL, WILLY TOULA, BROTHER TREVOR and SWIFT BARB were all inconvenienced and
lost ground. Entering the back
straight SWIFT BARB and WILLY TOULA were tightened and lost ground. Entering the top turn SMART SHIRL checked
of heels. Entering the home straight
SMART SHIRL, SWIFT BARB and WILLY TOULA collided and were unbalanced causing
SWIFT BARB to fall and take no further competitive part in the event. The
greyhound SWIFT BARB underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
advised the trainer of LILLY PILLY LASS Mr. M. Emery that the greyhound’s slow
start from the boxes was bordering on unsatisfactory and future performances
would be monitored. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN
FINAL 431M CAEDLIN ROSE HI was marginally slow to begin. GEMMA’S BLUE and REEF AND BEEF collided at
the start. Shortly after the start
CAEDLIN ROSE HI improved onto the heels of VIKING WHITE and both greyhounds
were checked. In the 1st
turn general tightening resulted in interference to all greyhounds, and all
were checked to varying degrees.
Leaving the 1st turn CAEDLIN ROSE HI and FARMOR IN TIME
were tightened and lost ground.
Approaching the top turn CAEDLIN ROSE HI contacted the running rail
and shifted out colliding with GEMMA’S BLUE and both greyhounds lost ground. The greyhound CAEDLIN ROSE HI underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5th GRADE 431M LIL’S ROSE,
NINPIN and SIGARLA were best to begin.
Shortly after the start DAD’S THE WORD checked off heels. In the 1st turn MR. BELLISSIMO
and SPOT ROSE HI collided causing DAD’S THE WORD that was following to check
off heels and collide with DESERT CHILD and both greyhounds lost ground. Entering the back straight SPOT ROSE HI
checked off heels. In the top turn MR.
BELLISSIMO and DAD’S THE WORD were tightened and lost ground. In the top turn MR. BELLISSIMO and DESERT
CHILD collided and were unbalanced. |

NOVICE 431M STAR RISE was best to begin while HOT and ROI LEAR KAHN
were marginally slow. At the start
IRISH SPICE and SUCCATASH collided. In
the 1st turn SURFBOARD, IRISH SPICE, BONDI GIRL and SUCCATASH
collided and were unbalanced. Entering
the back straight ROI LEAR KAHN was tightened and lost ground. Entering the top turn HOT and ROI LEAR KAHN
were tightened and lost ground. In the
top turn GITCHA ALLEY checked off heels and lost ground. |

TYRE REPAIRS 5th GRADE 520M ELING FEELING and VISIGOTH were best to begin while
ZILLIE BEAN was slow. PIPE OF PEACE
and VISIGOTH were tightened shortly after the start. Entering the 1st turn SECRETIVE
INTENT and DODGY DANCER collided and were unbalanced. HURUNUI ALYSSA that was following was
inconvenienced. Leaving the 1st
turn DODGY DANCER checked off heels and collided with HURUNUI ALYSSA and both
greyhounds lost ground. |

collided. Shortly after the start
NIGHT TIME LOVER, SMOKE AND MIRROR and SHEZA GOOD SIZE raced tight and
unbalanced. In the 1st turn
NIGHT TIME LOVER, LIGHTNING WHITE, SMOKE AND MIRROR and LITE ME UP all
collided and were unbalanced. In the
back straight LIGHTNING WHITE shifted in and crossed the running of LITE ME
UP and both greyhounds were checked as a consequence. |

CONSTRUCTIONS BEST 8 431M SECOND GEAR was slow to begin. In the 1st turn SECOND GEAR,
LITTLE ACH CEE, GUY FAWKES and LITTLE FONZIE all collided and were
unbalanced. As a result GUY FAWKES and
LITTLE ACE CEE lost ground. Leaving
the 1st turn SPRING ELLIE and SOCIAL came together and were
unbalanced. Entering the top turn
SECOND GEAR was tightened and forced to shift out, colliding with SPRING
ELLIE and both greyhounds lost ground. |

begin. Shortly after the start TOUGH
GUY FRIDAY, SPRING NAKANO and GUNLEE ROCKER all collided and became
unbalanced. In the 1st turn
SPRING NAKANO, MYRNIONG FLOYD and GUNLEE ROCKER were all inconvenienced. Approaching the top turn TOUGH GUY FRIDAY
contacted the running rail and became unbalanced and lost ground with SPRING
NAKANO that was following inconvenienced as a result. Over the concluding stages ROAD CAM checked
off heels. The greyhound TOUGH GUY FRIDAY underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |
