MAIDEN HEAT 1 431M ZAZU’S
HEADACHE and WILLY TOULA were best to begin.
FREE PRESS was slow to begin.
Shortly after the start MADRE and JACKSON STORM collided. Entering the back straight KURO GUN and
GITCHA HUMMIN’ collided resulting in GITCHA HUMMIN’ to be checked and lose
ground. Approaching the turn out of
the back straight WILLY TOULA improved onto the heels of MADRE and lost
ground. Rounding the turn out of the
back straight KURO GUN eased and failed to pursue the lure with due
commitment. Entering the front
straight GITCHA HUMMIN’ and SIXTEEN WINX collided. The
greyhound KURO GUN underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no
apparent injuries were found. Stewards
advised trainer Mr. G Crisci that the greyhound would be charged under Rule
69 (A) Failing to Pursue, 1st offence, 28 days plus a satisfactory
stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT
2 431M REEF AND BEEF and NEXT were best to begin. Shortly after the start BLAZIN’ CRUSHER,
BLACKPEARL GIRL, THUG and GRU all raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to
be checked and lose ground.
Approaching the turn into the back straight NEXT and REEF AND BEEF
collided. At the same time FROSTY
BLACK JAY checked across the heels of REEF AND BEEF and lost ground. Entering the back straight THUG was
tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with GRU resulting in
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the back straight REEF AND BEEF was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

TIME was best to begin. THIS IS LEGIT
was slow to begin. Through the 1st
turn TOPAZ TAN, GLORIA’S CHOICE and SWARAVSKI were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. IRISH SPICE
which was racing to the outside of SWARAVSKI was checked as a result of this
incident and lost ground. Entering the
back straight HOT and TOPAZ TAN collided resulting in both greyhounds to be
checked and lose ground. |

NOVICE 431M BONDI GIRL, VELOCITY ONYX and GITCHA ALLEY were best to
begin. DAD’S THE WORD was slow to
begin. Approaching the 1st
turn ASICLAO and WAYCOL BILL collided.
Through the 1st turn MULGOWIE YOWIE was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
WAYCOL BILL which was trailing was hampered as a consequence. Leaving the 1st turn ASICLAO was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. BONDI GIRL raced wide in the back straight
which hampered the running of MULGOWIE YOWIE. |

TYRE REPAIRS 4/5th GRADE 431M Even start with the exception of OUTBACK SUNSHINE which
was slow to begin. Shortly after the
start MY BLU and SPRING AUDREY collided.
Through the 1st turn WHITE EAGLE and WHAT A MESS
collided. Leaving the 1st
turn MY BLU improved onto the heels of WHAT A MESS and lost ground. SPRING AUDREY which was trailing was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Entering the back straight WHITE EAGLE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. OUTBACK
SUNSHINE which was racing to the inside of WHITE EAGLE was hampered as a
consequence. Shortly after OUTBACK
SUNSHINE checked across heels and lost ground. Leaving the back straight MY BLU improved
onto the heels of WHAT A MESS and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight
OUTBACK SUNSHINE checked across the heels of MY BLU and was momentarily
hampered. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE 520M Even start with the exception of ZABDON LAMBO which was
marginally slow to begin. Shortly
after the start GRAND ANGEL and MAYWYN REWARDS collided resulting in MAYWYN
REWARDS to shift out and collide with ALLPA MAMA which in turn shifted out
and collided with DONNY’S BEACH resulting in MAYWYN REWARDS, ALLPAH MAMA and
DONNY’S BEACH to be checked and lose ground.
In the front straight on the 1st occasion ROSDUE GOANNA was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front
straight ALLPA MAMA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Shortly after DANCING SOLO
shifted out which checked the running of DONNY’S BEACH resulting in DONNY’S
BEACH to lose ground. Approaching the
turn into the back straight GIFTED ANGEL collided with DONNY’S BEACH
resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. Nearing the turn into the back straight
DONNY’S BEACH was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. At the same time ZABDON LAMBO and ALLPA
MAMA collided resulting in ALLPA MAMA to be checked and lose ground. ROSDUE GOANNA which was trailing was
checked as a consequence and lost ground.
Leaving the back straight DONNY’S BEACH was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. The greyhound DONNY’S BEACH underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found. When questioned over the performance of
DONNY’S BEACH trainer Mr. S Scott reported that the greyhound races best when
drawn an inside box as it has a tendency to rail through its races and after
suffering significant interference throughout the race he was not
disappointed with the greyhound’s overall performance. He stated that it would be his intention to
step the greyhound up to a 700m race in the near future. |

4/5th GRADE FINAL 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start PHANTOM HOUDINI was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Leaving the
front straight PRATER’S SAINT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. LOVED UP which was racing to
its outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
VISIGOTH and MAYWYN OPALS collided resulting in MAYWYN OPALS to be checked
and lose ground. At the same time
PRATER’S SAINT shifted out which hampered the running of MAYWYN’S COPY. Approaching the turn into the front
straight PHANTOM HOUDINI shifted out which checked the running of LOVED
UP. PRATER’S SAINT raced wide rounding
the turn into the home straight. |

turn BLACK AMEX was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the back straight
SOCIAL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight LONESOME DUK
shifted out which hampered the running of BLACK AMEX and FLAPPING GUMS. Leaving the back straight BLACK AMEX was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M STAR RISE was best to begin. FARMOR PERHAPS was marginally slow to
begin. Through the 1st turn
PARIS QUEEN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. MYRNIONG FLOYD and FARMOR PERHAPS which
were trailing were both checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight PARIS QUEEN
shifted out and collided with MYRNIONG FLOYD resulting in MYRNIONG FLOYD to
be severely checked and lose considerable ground. FARMOR PERHAPS raced wide over various
stages of the race. |

SENNI LUCILLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn SENNI
LUCILLE and SAIL SURFER were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Approaching the turn into the
back straight MAYWYN PROMISES checked across the heels of WOOLOOGA and lost
ground. Leaving the back straight SAIL
SURFER improved onto the heels of SHAYLOR BART and lost ground. BITTEN BYE which was trailing was checked
as a consequence and lost ground.
