Even start with the exception of CRUZ RAMIREZ and SWIFT BARB which were marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start BLACKPEARL GIRL and BLUE GIRL BLUE collided resulting in BLUE GIRL BLUE to be checked and lose ground. 
Through the 1st turn BLUE GIRL BLUE, CRUZ RAMIREZ and SWIFT BARB were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  In the back straight BLUE GIRL BLUE and ALPHA HERMERA collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 431M

Even start.  Shortly after the start GRU and GITCHA HUMMIN’ collided.  Through the 1st turn LOWOOD DUK, GRU, GITCHA HUMMIN’ and SEBASTIAN all collided resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight JACKSON STORM and LOCH ME UP collided resulting in LOCH ME UP to be checked and lose ground.  GITCHA HUMMIN’ which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight GITCHA HUMMIN’ improved onto the hindquarters of GRU resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  SEBASTIAN which was racing to the outside of GRU was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

The greyhound GRU underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

ALPHA 390 FINANCE MAIDEN FINAL 431M

Even start with the exception of THUG and BLAZIN’ CRUSHER which were both marginally slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn BONITA DE KAHN, MADRE, FROSTY BLACK JAY and ZAZU’S HEADACHE were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after FROSTY BLACK JAY improved onto the hindquarters of ZAZU’S HEADACHE resulting in both greyhounds to be severely checked and lose considerable ground.  Entering the back straight BLAZIN’ CRUSHER improved onto the heels of WILLY TOULA resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight BONITA DE KAHN improved onto the heels of MADRE resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

 

The greyhound ZAZU’S HEADACHE underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Even start.  Shortly after the start TEFLON FLYER and SNOW GIRL collided.  Through the 1st turn TEFLON FLYER was tightened for racing room, checked and shifted out and collided with HOT resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  PEANUT which was racing to its outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight GLORIA’S CHOICE and SNOW GIRL collided resulting in SNOW GIRL to be checked and lose ground. PEANUT commenced to give ground in the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound PEANUT underwent a post race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found.  Stewards advised trainer Mr. M Cuneo that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 71 Unsatisfactory Performance and must perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks.

TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS NOVICE 431M

Even start with the exception of BLACK KOALA which was marginally slow to begin and THIS IS LEGIT and DAD’S THE WORD which were both slow to begin.  Through the 1st turn NINPIN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight THIS IS LEGIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE HEAT 1 520M

Even start.  Shortly after the start all runners with the exception of COSMIC LAPTOP and SECRETIVE INTENT were tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the front straight VIKING WHITE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  DEL REY which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Entering the back straight MAYWYN REWARDS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight SECRETIVE INTENT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  MAYWYN REWARDS which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight SHE’S INYA FACE and COSMIC LAPTOP collided resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.

MAYWYN OPALS was best to begin.  Shortly after the start PHANTOM PETE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ELING FEELING commenced to give ground rounding the turn into the back straight to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.

 

The greyhound ELING FEELING underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the chest muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

C2C CONSTRUCTIONS BEST 8 431M

The greyhound GET SHORTY underwent a pre race veterinarian examination and no apparent injuries were found and passed fit to start.

 

Even start with the exception of TITLE and FARMOR AT LAST which were both marginally slow to begin.  Shortly after the start SOCIAL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn TITLE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight FARMOR AT LAST was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON 4/5th GRADE 431M

The start was delayed when VIKING BUDDY proved difficult to be boxed and would be declare ‘hard to box’ for its immediate racing future.

 

BOGIE TEEJAY and ROAD CAM were best to begin.  Through the 1st turn DAY TIME FRIEND, SPRING AUDREY and DU HAST raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and lose ground.  Entering the back straight BOGIE TEEJAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  VIKING BUDDY which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.  In the back straight MAYWYN PROMISES checked off the heels of VIKING BUDDY and raced wide.  In the front straight during the latter stages of the race SPRING AUDREY and VIKING BUDDY raced tight.
