MAIDEN 431M Even
start with the exception of KAY CEE SAZIA which was marginally slow to
begin. Shortly after the start THUG
and LOWOOD DUK were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Through the 1st turn WILLY
TOULA and DORIE’S PICK were tightened for racing room, checked and lost
ground. Rounding the turn into the
front straight LOWOOD DUK checked across the heels of HAPPY MAIL and collided
with KAY CEE SAZIA resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose
ground. Trainer
Mr. M Cuneo was reprimanded under Rule 86 (o) for misconduct in regards to
his actions when leaving a stewards’ inquiry. |

FINAL 431M Even start with the exception of LOCH ME UP which was
marginally slow to begin. Through the
1st turn VELOICTY ZARIN, INNAMINCKA, HALL PASS and BLACKPEARL GIRL
were all tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Entering the back straight BLACKPEARL GIRL
checked across the hindquarters of INNAMINCKA resulting in both greyhounds to
be checked and lose ground. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE 431M Even start
with the exception of TOPAZ TAN which was marginally slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight
ZAZU’S HEADACHE was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Leaving the 1st turn VELOCITY
RADINKA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. The greyhound
VELOCITY RADINKA underwent a post race veterinarian examination and was found
to have suffered an injury to the off side shoulder and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

5th GRADE 431M Even start.
Approaching the 1st turn SHEZA RULER was tightened for
racing room, checked and lost ground.
At the same time ME MATE MOUSE was tightened for racing room, checked
and lost ground. Through the 1st
turn COSMIC REVENGE, SHEZA RULER, SWARAVSKI and SPRING LOYAL were all
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
ME MATE MOUSE shifted out, turned its head and made muzzle contact with
COSMIC REVENGE resulting in COSMIC REVENGE to be checked and lose
ground. Entering the back straight
DORREGO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Stewards advised trainer Mr. T Zammit that the greyhound
ME MATE MOUSE would be charged under Rule 69 Marring, 1st offence,
28 days plus a satisfactory stewards’ trial 431m all tracks. |

TYRE REPAIRS 4th GRADE 431M Even start.
Through the 1st turn all greyhounds with the exception of
SUPER SOOK were tightened for racing room, checked to varying degrees with
BETTA BE RIGHT losing significant ground. The greyhound BETTA BE RIGHT underwent a post race
veterinarian examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the near
side wrist and was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

begin. PHANTOM HOUDINI was marginally

tightened for racing room shortly after the start. Shortly after HITCHIKER DUDE was tightened
for racing room, checked and lost ground. |

5th GRADE FINAL 520M Even start.
Shortly after the start SIZEABLE was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Approaching
the turn out of the front straight SIZEABLE and SHE’S INYA FACE were both
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the front straight
DEL REY and BERGAMO collided resulting in BERGAMO to be checked and lose
considerable ground. Approaching the
turn into the back straight DEL REY and SIZEABLE were tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. Rounding the
turn into the front straight MAYWYN OPALS was tightened for racing room,
checked and lost ground. HARBOUR DRIVE
which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. In the front straight during the run to the
finish DEL REY and SIZEABLE collided on a number of occasions. The greyhound BERGAMO underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off hind webbing
and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

Approaching the 1st turn VALKYRIE BLUE and LAZZA MANAZZA
collided. Through the 1st
turn AERONA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight
VALKYRIE BLUE shifted out which hampered the running of LAZZA MANAZZA. Leaving the back straight LAZZA MANAZZA was
tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. AERONA which was trailing was severely checked
and fell as a consequence and took no further part in the race. The greyhound AERONA underwent a post race veterinarian
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

STRUDEL and SPOT ROSE HI which were both trailing were checked as a
