MAIDEN 431M ARREBA
was best to begin while FREE PRESS was slow.
ALPHA RHEA and GALWAY ALICE were marginally slow to begin. In the 1st turn ARREBA and BLUE
GIRL BLUE collided and were unbalanced.
Shortly after, SPRING REMI checked off the heels of ARREBA causing
both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. FROSTY BLACK JAY, ARREBA and GALWAY ALICE that
were racing to the outside of this incident were also inconvenienced and lost
ground. In the top turn ARREBA
improved onto the heels of FREE PRESS and both greyhounds were checked and
lost ground. |

SKY RACING NOVICE 431M BARNEY BE GOOD was best to begin while GOLD LINER, TOPAZ
TAN and ARFA SHOW OFF were slow. In
the 1st turn BONDI GIRL, ZAZU’S HEADACHE and ENZO JAZZ collided
and were unbalanced. Leaving the 1st
turn GOLD LINER checked off heels and ZAZU’S HEADACHE and TOPAZ TAN that were
following were hampered as a result.
Entering the top turn TOPAZ TAN and ZAZU’S HEADACHE were tightened and
momentarily hampered. |

GREYHOUND-DATA.COM 5th GRADE 431M AZTEC FLASH
was slow to begin. At the start HENSAP
JUSTINE shifted in abruptly and AILLA was hampered as a result. Entering the back straight HENSAP JUSTINE
and AZTEC FLASH checked off heels. In
the top turn HENSAP JUSTINE was tightened and momentarily hampered. Entering the home straight SHAYLOR BART
checked off heels and was unbalanced. |

5th GRADE HEAT 1 431M BELVEDERE BABE and WHITE EAGLE were best to begin while
VEGAS BOY was slow. Shortly after the
start GITCHA ALLEY, DORREGO and SPRING COMMAND were all checked and became
unbalanced. Leaving the 1st
turn BELVEDERE BABE was tightened and lost ground. Approaching the top turn GITCHA ALLEY and
VEGAS BOY collided and were unbalanced.

CARAVAN WAREHOUSE 5th GRADE HEAT 2 431M SKIP TO IT was best to begin. In the top turn SPRING BEK checked off
heels and GOLD RAINS that was following was hampered. Trainer of GOLD RAINS Mrs. K. Hoggan reported to stewards
the following day that the greyhound was found to have suffered a stress fracture
to the near side hock, and would therefore be incapacitated for some
time. |

GOLDEN VIEW GREYHOUND COMPLEX 5th GRADE HEAT 3
431M HEARTLAND FLYER was slow to begin. COSMIC DENLYN, DAISY DREAMS and SPRING ROY
collided shortly after the start. In
the 1st turn general tightening resulting in interference to all
runners and caused DAISY DREAMS to lose ground. In the top turn HEARTLAND FLYER was checked
and lost ground and SPRING ROY that was following was inconvenienced. |

3/4th GRADE 431M OUTBACK SUNSHINE was slow to begin. In the 1st turn PENTADOG was
tightened and forced to shift out, colliding with SPRING AUDREY and ASTIN’S
WARRIOR and all 3 greyhounds lost ground.
In the back straight PENTADOG lost ground and took no further part in
the event. Approaching the top turn
OUTBACK SUNSHINE was tightened and became unbalanced. Shortly after, MOCHACHINI MAN improved onto
the heels of OUTBACK SUNSHINE and both greyhounds were checked and lost
ground. The greyhound OUTBACK SUNSHINE underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound MOCHACHINI MAN underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound PENTADOG underwent a post-race veterinary
examination, was found to have suffered a fracture of the off side hock, and
was humanely euthanized. |

WALSH & CO 4/5th GRADE FINAL 431M SAIL SURFER and BOGIE TEJAY were best
to begin while CAPRA ROSS was slow. In
the 1st turn FARAHMAC checked off heels and collided with CAPRA
ROSS, MY BLU and THROTTLE ON and these greyhounds were all checked and lost
ground. Shortly after, SAIL SURFER was
tightened and lost ground. FARMOR
PERHAPS and THROTTLE ON were wide in the back straight. Entering the home straight MY BLU checked
off heels. |

GRADE HEAT 4 431M PRATER’S PROMISE, MISS AMELIA and IT’S ABOUT TIME were
best to begin. In the 1st
turn ZILLIE BEAN and SPRING POLLY were tightened and lost ground. IT’S ABOUT TIME was wide in the back and
home straights. Entering the top turn
ASICLAO was tightened and lost ground.
SPRING POLLY and ZILLIE BEAN that were following were inconvenienced. Trainer of ZILLIE BEAN Mrs. K. Hoggan reported to
stewards the following day that the greyhound was found to have suffered an
injury to the near sesamoid, and would therefore be incapacitated for some
time. |
