Stewards Trial 1 – 630m The greyhound
PHANTOM HENRY performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
630m in a time of 38.40 and is now cleared all tracks. The greyhound
PHANTOM PETE performed a satisfactory stewards’ trial over the distance of
630m in a time of 38.17 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until
after 17 November 2017. |

MAIDEN 431M BAILEY
BE GOOD, BLAZING and BLUE GIRL BLUE were best to begin. THANKING PETER was slow to begin. Shortly after the start REACTOR and THUG
collided resulting in THUG being checked.
Entering the back straight BLAZING shifted out across the heels of
REACTOR and lost ground. REACTOR and
THUG were also inconvenienced. On
entering the home straight FANCY A BOHERNA and THANKING PETER collided on a
number of occasions. BLAZING
underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered
an injury to the near side wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

SKY RACING MAIDEN
FINAL 431M ARREBA and FREE PRESS were both slow to begin. Shortly after the start HAPPY MAIL and
WILLY TOULA collided. On the first turn
LILLY PILLY LASS, SNOWBALL CREED, WILLY TOULA and DORIE’S PICK were all
tightened for racing room and REEF AND BEEF was checked and lost ground. In the back straight FREE PRESS was checked
across the heels of DORIE’S PICK.
Turning out of the back straight REEF AND BEEF collided with WILLY
TOULA causing WILLY TOULA to be checked. |

ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE 431M Even
start. Shortly after the start
GLORIA’S CHOICE was checked between RUMBLING JAKE and DIESEL POWER. At the same time GOLD LINER lost ground
when tightened for room between RED JUMPER and RUMBLING JAKE. On the first turn RED JUMPER and RUMBLING
JAKE collided on a number of occasions inconveniencing DIESEL POWER. Entering the final turn GRAVEL commenced to
give ground resulting in GLORIA’S CHOICE being inconvenienced. Entering the home straight GOLD LINER was
checked across the heels of DIESEL POWER and collided with GLORIA’S CHOICE. GRAVEL underwent
a post race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near side hock and was stood down for a period of 21 days. |

5th GRADE 431M CHEEKY CHANCE was slow to begin. VIKING BUDDY and DAY TIME FRIEND collided
at the start resulting in VIKING BUDDY becoming unbalanced. On the first turn VELOCITY ZARIN, SHAKEY
RANDLE, DAD’S THE WORD, LITE ME UP and CHEEKY CHANCE were all tightened for
room between DAY TIME FRIEND and DORREGO resulting in all greyhounds being
checked to varying degrees. In the
back straight CHEEKY CHANCE was checked off the heels of DAY TIME FRIEND and
lost ground. SHAKEY RANDLE underwent a post race veterinary examination
and no apparent injuries were found. DAD’S THE WORD underwent a post race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off fore leg and
was stood down for a period of 7 days. |

TYRE REPAIRS 4/5th GRADE 431M At the start ON TIGHT LINES was tightened for room
between VALKYRIE BLUE and ASTIN’S WARRIOR.
Shortly after the start VALKYRIE BLUE collided with ASTIN’S WARRIOR
resulting in ASTIN’S WARRIOR being checked.
Entering the first turn BOGIE TEJAY, SAIL SURFER and LIGHTNING WHITE were
all tightened and checked by SKIP TO IT which shifted in. Shortly after, SPORTFAN shifted in and
collided with LIGHTNING WHITE. |

O’REILLY PET FOOD 5th GRADE 520M ACTUALIZE was slow to begin. Shortly after the start HERACLES was
tightened for running between MAYWYN REWARDS and VOLKEY resulting in HERACLES
being checked. Turning out of the
front straight ACTUALIZE was checked off the heels of DUDE PERFECT and raced
wider on the track. Leaving the back
straight HARBOUR DRIVE improved onto the heels of MAYWYN REWARDS and was
checked. |

4/5th GRADE FINAL 520M PENDITA and CELS EXPRESS were both slow to begin. Entering the turn out of the front straight
MAYWYNS NOISE and FLASH VENTURE collided resulting in FLASH VENTURE becoming
unbalanced and racing wide. Turning
into the home straight CAKE IT ON and MAYWYNS NOISE collided on several
occasions. Approaching the winning
post these greyhounds again collided. |

begin. LITTLE ACH CEE and SOCIAL were
slow to begin. LITTLE FONZIE was
checked shortly after the start.
Entering the first turn LITTLE ACH CEE was tightened for room and
SOCIAL was checked by ROSDUE SPRITE.
Entering the back straight ROSDUE SPRITE was checked when tightened
for room by WILDASH WILDBOY which shifted in. |

SURGEON 5th GRADE 431M BUNDY BUCKS was best to begin. CIANNA’S ANGEL and SNOWBALL OTTO were both
slow to begin. Shortly after the start
PYRE was checked across the heels of SURE SHOT and CIANNA’S ANGEL, SNOWBALL
OTTO and BROTHER TREVOR were tightened for room when SWARAVSKI shifted in
resulting in SNOWBALL OTTO, BROTHER TREVOR and SWARAVSKI all being checked. On the final turn CIANNA’S ANGEL lost
ground when tightened for running between SNOWBALL OTTO and SURE SHOT and in
doing so hampered BUNDY BUCKS. On
straightening for the run to the finish BUNDY BUCKS was checked across the
heels of BROTHER TREVOR which shifted out. |

5th GRADE 431M TOUGH GUY FRIDAY, VEGAS BOY and SPARK YOU UP were all
slow to begin. On the first turn
COSMIC LAPTOP, JACOBY RAIDER and SHAYLOR CLEDUS collided. Shortly after, VEGAS BOY was checked
between TOUGH GUY FRIDAY and SPARK YOU UP.
SPARK YOU UP became unbalanced and lost ground as a result. SPARK YOU UP underwent a post race veterinary examination
and was found to have suffered an injury to the near side pin and was stood
down for a period of 14 days. |
