Stewards Trial 1 – 431m The greyhound
PRATER’S RECRUIT performed a satisfactory Stewards’ trial over the distance
of 431m in a time of 25.86 wearing blinkers, and is now cleared all tracks
except Brisbane and up to 431m only. The greyhound ME
MATE MOUSE performed a satisfactory Stewards’ trial over the distance of 431m
in a time of 25.73 and is now cleared all tracks except Ipswich until after 13th
November 2017. |

BARB and LOCH ME UP were best to begin while FREE PRESS was slow. Passing the winning post on the 1st
occasion CALYPSO BAY checked off heels.
Leaving the 1st turn GALWAY PANTHER and FLYAWAY BARB
collided and were unbalanced. Entering
the top turn LOCH ME UP was tightened lost ground and CALYPSO BAY that was
following was hampered. In the top
turn LOCH ME UP and CALYPSO BAY raced tight and were unbalanced. Shortly after, SPORTS WRITER and FREE PRESS
came together. |

GRADE 630M SHE’S INYA FACE began well. At the start SMOOTH CLAUDIA was checked and
momentarily hampered. DIAMOND ROBYNE
was wide entering the front straight.
Entering the bottom turn PING LING improved onto the heels of MINNIE
MARTINI, checking this greyhound.
Leaving the bottom turn SMOOTH CLAUDIA was hampered. Entering the top turn MINNIE MARTINI was
tightened and lost ground. |

was declared for this event due to a malfunction with the starting boxes.
Subsequently, all greyhounds were removed from the starting boxes, underwent
a veterinary examination, and were passed fit to start. The event was
restarted after a short delay. THAT HOUDINI
was slow to begin. In the 1st
turn MAKE TODAY COUNT, PRINCESS EMALYS, BOGIE TEJAY and SAIL SURFER all
collided and lost ground. ZAFONIC
FORCE and INVERGARRY LADY that were following were inconvenienced. In the top turn THIS TIME MADDIE was
tightened and lost ground. PRINCESS
EMALYS and BOGIE TEJAY that were following were hampered as a result and
BOGIE TEJAY lost ground. In the top
turn INVERGARRY LADY checked off heels. The greyhound
BOGIE TEJAY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to
have suffered an injury to the near fore webbing and was stood down for a
period of 10 days. |

CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLEGE HEAT 1 520M MYONA MORPHEUS was best to begin while COSMIC YESSAM,
CELS EXPRESS and SHADOW EDGE were slow.
Approaching the 1st
turn MYONA MORPHEUS, FLYING TWISTER and SHADOW EDGE were tightened and
became unbalanced, causing FLYING TWISTER, SWEET KARMAR and CELS EXPRESS that
were following to lose ground.
Entering the back straight COSMIC YESSAM checked off heels. CELS
EXPRESS that was following was inconvenienced. The greyhound COSMIC YESSAM underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. A short time late the greyhound COSMIC YESSAM underwent a
2nd post-race veterinary examination and was found to have
suffered an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10
days. |

DOLLARS CHALLEGE HEAT 2 520M Even start. In the
1st turn WHAT A MESS, LIGHTNING WHITE, MAYWYNS NOISE and SECRETIVE
INTENT were all inconvenienced. BITTA
BLUE was wide through the 1st turn. Entering the top turn SECRETIVE INTENT
improved onto heels, became severely unbalanced and lost ground. Entering the home straight LIGHTNING WHITE
shifted out and collided with MAYWYNS NOISE.
In the home straight THUNDER FURY and SIZEABLE collided and were
unbalanced. The greyhound SECRETIVE INTENT underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLEGE HEAT 3 520M ORBIT THE SUN was slow to begin. In the front straight ZIPPING OLYMPIA was
tightened and lost ground and GADSBY’S
ROAD became unbalanced as a result. In
the 1st turn TERRANORA checked off heels and collided with MR.
TERRIFIC causing this greyhound to become severely unbalanced and to lose
ground. The greyhound ORBIT THE SUN underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and was found to have suffered an injury to the off side hip and
was stood down for a period of 14 days. |

DAY and MINSTREL MAN raced tight and were unbalanced, causing PARTY EVERY DAY
to lose ground. Shortly after, PARTY
EVERY DAY, GALLON and THUNDER OF FIRE collided. In the 1st turn GALLON, THUNDER
OF FIRE and HESPERIDES collided and
were unbalanced. Leaving the 1st
turn HESPERIDES and GALLON collided causing HESPERIDES to lose ground. |

CORPORATE DOLLARS CHALLEGE HEAT 5 520M Even start. At the start JOHN’S LAST shifted in as
SENOR’S HEIR shifted out causing tightening to SMOKIN’ ALICE, COSMIC DENLYN,
ALPHA CHAOS and MAYWYN EMERALDS and all greyhounds were checked to varying
degrees. In the 1st turn
SENOR’S HEIR contacted the hindquarters of COSMIC DENLYN forcing this
greyhound to collide with FRIENDZ and MO STRADAMUS and all 3 were
unbalanced. Leaving the 1st
turn COSMIC DENLYN shifted out causing SENOR’S HEIR to collided with SMOKIN’
ALICE and both greyhounds lost ground as a result. The greyhound SENOR’S HEIR underwent a
post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found. The greyhound SMOKIN’ ALICE underwent
a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have suffered an injury
to the near side hip and was stood down for a period of 10 days |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M NEDGO PRINCESS and SWIFT LEAH were best to begin while
KIA BE GOOD, SPIFFY and COMPLETE CONTROL were slow. Shortly after the start NEDGO PRINCESS and
SWIFT LEAH collided. In the 1st
turn SWIFT LEAH clipped heels and fell, taking no further part in the event. The greyhound SWIFT LEAH underwent a post-race veterinary
examination and no apparent injuries were found. |

SKY RACING 5th GRADE 431M SNOWBALL OTTO, WITHCOTT FLYER, MISSED CONTROL and CHIPS
AHOY all began well. Shortly after the
start SHAKEY RANDLE, BIG DIPPA and ARABIAN GO DANI were tightened. In the 1st turn SNOWBALL OTTO
checked off heels and collided with BINERAY BOY causing this greyhound to
shift out and check the running of CHIPS AHOY, SHAKEY RANDLE and ARABIAN GO
DANI. Leaving the 1st turn
SNOWBALL OTTO and BINERAY BOY were checked and lost ground. In the back straight BINERAY BOY was
tightened and lost ground. |
